The technician told my son that the handle was broken. My son doesn't live here and would have no way of knowing if the handle was broken. It was NOT broken previous to the technician coming. There also is a chip in my stove top okay when I left a voicemail regarding these damages he says that that's impossible. He admitted to me that he had to remove the entire casing so how is it not possible that a chip could happen something could have hit my stove top a tool could have banged against it. Once I informed him that neither the handle or the chip was there before he came he stopped responding unfortunately I'm a single working parent and needed to be at work and was not able to supervise him so he's taking full advantage of this stating that he's not going to fix these. I described the issue to Brian on the phone and he explained he'd try to squeeze us in - yes, on the same day! Within an hour, Scott was knocking on our door to repair our unit. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue (faulty capacitor) and we had cold air again. The price was fair, especially given the speed of the service. Everyone was friendly and professional. I felt taken care of and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. I know it's an especially busy time of year for them and appreciate that they went above and beyond to solve our issue. If our problem was more complex than a faulty capacitor I'm not sure same-day service would have been possible (nor would I have that expectation - not everything can be done immediately!), but I trust they'd respond with urgency to any request, big or small. Thanks so much to Brian and Scott!

Jen on the phone was helpful and pleasant. Stu came out to our house and provided amazing diagnostic information. My washer which had been repaired approx 5 times in the 5 years under the warranty I had it, never really worked well after even after the previous repair was complete. Stu identified the parts that needed repair. Sent this off to the company and I was to wait. Jen and Stu continuously followed up with me, informing me of the non progress with my warranty company in resolving the repair/replacement. The final decision was out of their control, but I give them A+ for follow up with me, even after warranty company indicated they were not going to fix the machine. I highly recommend appliance smith for repairs. I was impressed by the thorough evaluation and excellent customer service. All of this occurred during the Corona Virus and Stu arrived at our home properly fitted with a mask to protect our home. Keep up the good work. Thanks. Stacy

We didn't end up using this service provider because they weren't available soon enough AND their…read moretrip fee of $130 was way high in our opinion. The trip fee is just for them to come out, look at your appliance, make a diagnosis and give you an estimate. If you don't go with them, they will charge you this fee, and then when you go with someone else you'd have to pay for THEIR trip fee all over again. The trip fee does NOT apply towards the repair as with some other industries like usually automotive and even some HVAC companies apply your diagnosis fee towards the repair bill. So this place's trip fee was the highest of about 10 places I called or texted. Definitely not a good value and unfortunately they won't get a chance to earn my business. $130 is no chump change.
