Since I'm a business owner I decided to sign up for a restaurant Depot membership. With my previous…read morebusiness I was a member and enjoyed shopping there for my business related items. Since my business had changed I needed to register again. I did my registration online which was fairly easy and then received my confirmation email. The confirmation email contained my barcode membership number and instructions on how to get my membership card. I then went to the valley view restaurant Depot with everything described that I needed as per the email in section 3. I greeted the person behind the desk and asked for assistance on registering and getting my restaurant Depot card. She very rudely barked at me that I needed my paperwork. With a smile and a positive attitude I handed her my paperwork. She received the paperwork with a disgusted look on her face and then replied that I did not have the paperwork that I needed. I then went home and checked and in fact I did have all of the paperwork that I needed. I actually had more documentation than I needed. I don't know if it was because of my skin color or my race or maybe that she was just having a bad day but I do not recommend this business. This was truly a terrible experience and if this happens during the registration for a membership I could just assume what's going to happen when I'm a member. Am I going to be greeted by an angry bigot every time I come in and every time I need to do a transaction? Ask yourself if you want to support a business like this.

I bought a mop sink faucet from them, brand new. When the plumber went to install the product, the valve on the cold water side was cracked. I couldn't find the receipt, but the product was in a box that was clearly from A1. I also purchased the product on our company credit card. When I went to A1 to EXCHANGE the broken part, I was told - No Receipt, No Exchange! The service woman would not even compromise. Needing a faucet for our start-up business (which is in the restaurant industry), I went over to Dubick's, which is right around the corner from A1. Not only did Dubick's have a brand name faucet (Krowne) on hand, they offered me a discount based on my experience with their competitor. The quality product from Dubick's was less than the cost of the junky product from A1. My plumber even mentioned how the Dubick's fixture was much better quality. Based on the cost of both faucets, and the labor I had to pay my plumber to install the first poor quality A1 faucet, I'm out $300..... Dubick's beat A1 on price, service and product quality. I should have gone to Dubick's in the first place, and so should you.

If I had purchased this at any store, they would allow me to return it. Buyer beware, purchases are final when it comes to any paint, varnish, stain, etc.
