Wonderul dining experience all around. Warm and welcome atmosphere. The food was down right delicious. Had the Filet with mashed potatoes, and the meat was cooked to medium rare perfection! The greens were fresh, and the appetizers were amazing as well. Tried both the shrimp tempura cocktail, and the fondue. 8:30 is late for dinner in Dalton and I was the only soul in the dining room. There were outside diners, however I didn't want to be mosquito bait. The hostess was warm and welcoming. The server, Heidi, was friendly and pleasant. The dining room is tastefully decorated with the paintings of a local artist, quite atmospheric. The wine list is nice and the Malbec I ordered was excellent and a generous pour. The grilled Caesar salad was delicious, warm and just enough dressing. The calimari was perfectly seasoned and I LOVE tentacles. Those are the pros. Now the cons. I ordered the calimari as an entree, said so aloud. It came with the salad. So of course, although I ate them together, the calimari has quite cool before I finished. The salad would have been enhanced by a little bread, but none was offered. I certainly will return as there are a number of interesting items on the menu. read more

This is the go-to quality restaurant in Dalton. I have been here loads of time for both lunch and dinner. All dishes are good but the Gravalax is great as is the salmon. Great selection of wine if you are there for dinner. Service is really good too. Parking is not too bad as I don't mind walking anyway. read more

Everything was cooked perfectly, the prices were reasonable. Ordered the fondue (very good), ribeye, pasta and shrimp, and cookies & cream dessert. All enjoyable. The only issue was an overly-eager server that expected us to order drinks the moment after we sat down. After his second attempt in less than a minute we had to tell him we'd like to take our time and he got the message. Great date night place. Small, quiet restaurant that still uses table cloths. As is true of many small town American restaurants, service is lacking as it is tough to train folks who are unaccustomed to eating "higher on the hog". We traveled to Dalton to see a concert and made reservations to Cyra's for dinner. Everything we had from the appetizers, wine, beer, scotch selections to the very tasty entrees ordered, were all on point and the intimate table with lighting made it very romantic for my husband and I. Enjoyed an amazing 44th Anniversary dinner at Cyra tonight. Arrived and found a box of almond cookies and a Happy Anniversary note on our table. Ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc Chateau Saint Jean since we had the pleasure of enjoying a private wine tasting on our trip to the Napa Valley in the summer of 2006. We started our dinner with a salads with hot bacon dressing and Balsamic Vinegarette. The bread and Hot Basil oil was to die for. Our entrees of Sockeye Salmon and Low Country Shrimp was amazing. Not only did we have great service but we had the honor of having T J ( the owner) join us for a nice conversation following our memorable dinner. Located this gem via Yelp- our favorite critical girlfriend. We were traveling south toward home when we decided to stop for dinner. Yum! The name outside reads differently than Simple Goodness, but Cyra's was consistent and the food was spot on. My husband had the lobster bisque and I had French onion soup, perfect for a fall night. Rich, flavorful broths. The house salads were lovely and I strongly recommend the house hot bacon dressing. My hand made Cajun pasta with fresh Gulf shrimp was delicious and I tend to lean critical for anything labeled Cajun in GA. We requested to go boxes so we could try the Rocky Road bread pudding as another reviewer suggested. Scrumptious! Can honestly say this is my favorite spot to eat in Dalton. I ordered the avocado fries, crab cakes, and salmon for an appetizer and all were delicious. It is evident that much thought and preparation goes into the flavors of each dish. The salmon was especially fresh and light and the crab cakes were so flavorful. For dinner I had the tuna which was seared to perfection. I also had a bite of my friend's steak which was nicely seasoned and cooked medium which I really enjoyed. The creme brule was to die for, yum! Really great end to this exceptional dinner. The owner of the restaurant really makes you feel like family and can offer many recommendations based on what you're craving. Really really great food. I had the spinach salad and it was perfection, dressed perfectly and served warm. Beautiful presentation as well. I also had the avocado fries which I was somewhat skeptical of as I know you can buy them frozen by the bag. These clearly were not frozen as the Panko breading was just right. Very nicely decorated cafe style restaurant. Most of the folks here were dressed up... we came in jeans as we had been traveling all day. We were greeted promptly. We were served warm crusty bread with a delicious basil oil...yum! My husband ordered the lobster crab bisque. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered the French onion soup. The presentation was different. Instead of the cheese being on the soup bowl along with the bread, the onion soup was served with a mini panini grilled cheese sandwich on the side. The soup was tasty, but I prefer the cheese on the soup. I ordered the roasted harvest root vegetable salad with salmon. It was good and very generous with the mixed greens. My husband had the grilled Caesar salad with added salmon. He enjoyed it. A nice place for a quiet dinner. Our meal ( with no beverages) was almost $60. read more

Was excited to try this place. Made a reservation online and got an email to confirm. Arrived on time and was told they didn't have my reservation. They probably should not offer it online if they are not passing the reservations onto the reserved list. Hostess asked if we wanted to sit outside and since it was 87 degrees I said no. She seemed put out that we didn't want to sit outside and went to the back to talk to someone I never saw and suddenly came back and said "I found you a table". The inside restaurant was completely empty...EVERY TABLE... and she found us a table. WOW! Then she takes us to a table and immediately is removing dishes and didn't even allow us to sit down and choose a seat. We decided to leave and not spend our money at a place where we were treated like we were a problem by this hostess . Really upset because I had heard really good things about the food. read more

Location recently moved from Hamilton Street to Pence Street....literally one block. But what a difference it has made in the ambiance. The service we received was impeccable and the pinot noir delicious as was our meal. The beautiful outdoor dining area is much improved from the street side dining of the old location. I cannot say enough about our experience here. We sat out on the beautiful patio which does have heaters if needed. We were greeted promptly by Francisco, (he is amazing), and were brought table bread and waters. We had our daughter and 2 grandchildren with us. We were so happy that a kids menu was available. We started with drinks which included the espresso martini and a very dirty martini. My husband enjoyed the espresso and my dirty was perfection! Our appetizers were the avocado fries and the fondue. Entrees included the Ahi tuna with a creamy mushroom risotto, blackened flounder with cheese grits and a huge wedge salad with delicious chunks of cured bacon. Desserts were the bread pudding, flourless chocolate cake and creme brulee. Every bite was pure heaven. Francisco was extremely attentive and on top of everything. We will definitely be returning and hoping to try even more delicious sounding food on our next visit. This was a great find and really enjoyable dining experience! On our way traveling to Chattanooga, we stopped in thanks to other Yelp reviewers. Our food was so delicious! Combination of southern inspired Mediterranean cuisine. We tried many different dishes but especially enjoyed their take on French onion soup and the lamb meatballs.
