Karsan was our Bartender, she had a great personality and discussed all the different cocktails she could make for us. This one grabbed out attention~ The Jelly Donut !!! I adore this place. I got off work early and just wanted an App and Bloody Mary. Typed in bar and this was the closest to me. The bar tender Chelsey -I believe -was wonderful. Made me feel so at home. Even while having vendors dropping off orders. The Mac and cheese bites with devils kiss sauce was prefect with my Bloody Mary and Mango IPA. Good spot for what it is. Went on a Thursday night and no NFL game on. Very casual atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and seemed to know each other. Staff was great. We did come on karaoke night and the host "DJ Sheesh" kept saying "sheesh" while a player on the college football game on TV was down for 10+ minutes with a Damar Hamlin-Esque injury. We stumbled upon this place after a long day of traveling. Our server, Jessica, was so attentive and personable. I just ordered a house salad and my husband had the club sandwich. He said it was one of the better clubs he's had in a while. They do need to spruce up their menu a bit, but the service here was way beyond what we get at some of the best fine dining restaurants we've visited in our travels. Good, clean, large place for watching games, checking out live local music, or just enjoying bar food and drinks with friends. I've played here several times with my band and each time had a good crowd and was treated well. During the summer, they open up an outdoor stage area that's very cool. You can expect about a $5 cover, which is reasonable. The food is about what you'd expect from bar food. They will regularly have drink specials and not to mention the servers are awesome! Not the worst restaurant I've been to, but definitely one I'll put on my never-again list. I went there during a special event (BRAG), and they seemed to have a "don't bother giving them anything good, or fair prices, 'cause they won't be back anyway" offering. Tasteless, burnt, unadorned burgers that couldn't match those foil-bagged steam-table messes found in gas stations. Add to that overwhelmed servers who couldn't manage giving us napkins, a bar that was out of every IPA, a refusal to allow orders from the usual menu, beer in plastic cups, pasty tomatoes, and big-city prices to round out the awful experience. If they didn't plan on doing better, they should have declined the event as beyond their capabilities. I very much appreciate vendors who try to accommodate an unusual and large group, but not those who try to cash out with no concern for customers. There is no way this place could survive if they treated regulars like this. read more

This was a really good find for late (after 8p) food options. The burgers, tenders, and wings were good. (Wings could have been left in longer to make skin a lil more crisp...seems that is a COMMON issue from reviews). The waffle fries were great and the beer choices (for those that like that) looked plentiful...but when asked for a certain brand the server was like we are out of that unless "YOU want me to change the keg"...isn't that what bars do when they run out????). The House made honey mustard much better than the prepackaged. We got there at 8:15pm on a Monday night...Service was not very good considering there were only 3 other tables and 5 people at the bar...well 4 people and a little girl maybe 10 years old?!?!? I had to be proactive at getting the server to acknowledge us standing for a couple of minutes to be seated, then to get menus, and then when our food was brought out...had to get our own silverware from the bin up near the front. Might be a place we return to if we are up for bad service but something besides fast food after 8 through the week. Went there to see our friend's band so thought we would try the food. The place gives the appearance of being a trendy pub. Our beverages were served in plastic disposable cups. We had to ask for chilled glasses, which were brought separately with each round. The food portions seemed small for the prices charged. An order of fried mushrooms was about 9 modestly-sized mushrooms, the cheese steak sandwich was small, bland and over cooked. The side order of waffle fries was also sparse, about 10 fries. They could sell more food and drinks if you could get your order in and get your food in a timely manner. Hamburger was good, but I asked for extra raw onions and received 3 rings, if this is extra, what do you receive normally...one? Condiments are tasteless packets on the table. The fried onion rings were tasteless and very thin and overcooked. The server was great, as was the bartender, though the liquor selection was very limited. CAT advertised itself as a Sports Bar, but there were only 2 small TVs...Sports Bars normally have a few big screens and several smaller ones with various sports. The band was warming-up and I could see that when they began playing, it would be impossible to carry on a conversation. Went for lunch on a Thursday. Not really crowded, maybe 20 other people in the whole place, if that. We sat, gave our drink order, and then ordered food shortly after. Food seemed a little over-priced for me personally. Ordered the patty melt with onion rings. Waited about 25 minutes before the food came out. Had to get it to go so I could be back to work on time. So, service was a little slow. The patty melt: pretty bland to be honest. Huge bread, small patty. Wasted a lot of bread. Either get smaller bread or make the patty larger. Onion rings were WAY overcooked. Had to throw a few away. Not the best experience for a first visit. I'll try them again as I believe in 2nd chances and I really want to see Downtown Dalton thrive. I took some friends visiting from Michigan this past Saturday. Needless to say the band was amazing. However, the service and food was sub par to say the least. I as my waitress for an angry orchard. She brought some other cider not even asking if I wanted to substitute my first choice. (I did NOT want to). We ordered a few items off of them menu. 1st some quest and chips ... cold cheese and stale chips, actually, the chips were kind of damp and chewy. No flavor..... secondly nachos, they arrived with a ton of lettuce and shredded cheese, not melted..... we asked for a replacement, it never came. Beverages were extremely slow to arrive to the table and our server was simply clueless. Trying to check out was even a worse experience where as the server didn't have a clue as to how to run the Point of Sale. Needless to say I was disappointed with the service and the poor quality of food received. I will never recommend this venue to anyone, which is a shame because Dalton lacks many fun places to go and this facility could be awesome. If I could rate it a negative score I would. I brought my family to this eatery to celebrate my early graduation. A few weeks later we started showing symptoms. At first it was fatigue and then came the nausea and vomiting. The abdominal pain and the dark urine. We all went to the doctor and found that we had gotten Hep A. If you have eaten there at any point, it would be a good idea to get tested. I've never hated a restaurant as much as I did this one. Someone opened the door for us and then blocked the entrance to tell us about the specials- about 6 inches from my 11 year old's face. They had karaoke, which is annoying enough, but the volume was turned up as high as it would go, and we were the only patrons other than the family doing the singing. And I found out later that it was the family of an employee, as they all took turns singing and not working. There's no kids menu, but the waitress tried to work something out for us, splitting a meal. Then she disappeared. It took a long time for our drinks, a long time for her to come take our order, and a really long time for our food to come out. The chicken strips the kids ordered were okay, but my barbecue burger was awful. The patty was thin and overcooked, completely tasteless. The sweet potato fries weren't even actual potatoes, but the extruded mashed type. We never got drink refills, despite asking repeatedly. If the food had been decent I would have given a second chance, but there's no way on earth I'll ever go back. read more

Went there tonight to an "event" and was EXTREMELY disappointed!!! It's SO sad that these owners are wasting such a great space! The restaurant, if you could call it that, was very confusing.... The tables were loaded with trash and had not been bussed... People were running all over and the lights were too bright... I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria. We weren't told what to do so we asked if we should seat ourselves and we were told "yes".... We sat down and waited almost 20 min and nobody came to take our drink orders. My husband finally got up and asked for some service! The server came over with the "event" menu which was a total joke! Hamburger, Hot Dog, Wings and Boiled Shrimp... I asked for a red wine and was told "I'll go check if we have any" (Isn't this a bar?) the band was playing in the "Courtyard" which was a VERY cool space but the Tavern could do more to make it more inviting. The band was FANTASTIC! The mix was great and we enjoyed the show despite the terrible venue. BTW, My husband ordered winags and only 2 out of the 6 were totally cooked. The other 4 were RAW. The venue itself has ALOT of potential but it needs a more clear focus as to WHAT it is.... Restaurant? Sports Bar? Music Venue? I won't be back. read more
