I'm really happy with our decision to live here The staff is friendly( they are on-site) the grounds are absolutely beautiful, it's dog-friendly , I walk my pups around the complex with me and baby everyday! The laundry rooms are convenient, you can go to any (they provide you a map) the playground is perfect for when our little one gets bigger (just no swings but still pretty cool) Amenities like the jacuzzi, pool, and gym are also such a nice plus! Especially when it's night, viewing the stars from the jacuzzi is surreal. Our neighbors are kind and considerate, and we've had no issues with noise or disruptions. The brand new appliances in our apartment are a nice touch too (they also have washer and dryer hook ups) They also offer something called flex pay which is convenient for us to split our rent at the beginning and middle of the month through a 3rd party , really really nice AND it helps build credit The management team is on point too! You can submit a request to fix / adjust any issue that arises on the resident log in or text them ! So I had a cut of date on when I had to finish completing my lease I had it in writing in an email,by California standards an email is in writing,so since we didn't finish the lease process fast enough even though I had 1 more day to complete it they told us since we didn't finish the lease in a timely manner they went back on there written word and bumped up the price,so i had to call there CEOs office and tell them how there not honoring there written word,so I get a call back pretty quick and cypress point management says they'll honor there word after all, then they said we have to finish the lease by 12 midnight even though there written word said the next day around 2,don't know why they were rushinge but they lost a lot of potential business,so I'm definitely not moving here and gonna tell everyone how I was treated,these people need some real training in customer service, and I will also be consulting a lawyer unless they want to settle out of court read more

Lived here from 2001-2012 & 2017-2022. Everything depends on the luck of the draw with neighbors and the quality of the particular manager at the time. We had mostly good experiences but some of each seriously detracted from the quality of life. Moving because the management was unable to stop the downstairs neighbors from smoking and with my wife's asthma she suffered serious breathing issues. Older apartments, but spacious. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. They always hire excellent maintenance teams. Dogs can be a problem now that they've loosened the rules. Typical stuff- aggressive dogs, barking dogs, dog droppings, owners that ignore leash laws. We wouldn't have spent 17 years here if we didn't like it. Ventura weather can be oppressively humid and gray, but also cool and pleasant. The vagrants have been a problem at times if you live near the corner of Cypress Point and Telephone, but much less so elsewhere. In building 1101 we were witness to raging loons at all hours of the night, staggering drunks in the day. In building 1361 we barely knew they existed. Never had roaches. Spiders are smaller and less aggressive than in Camarillo. read more

We moved out after being there 3 years. We clean as much as we could and the apartment was actually Pretty old. Not renovated but yes, we had brand new carpet, which was great. After we moved, I was told that we would get our deposit back or almost all of it and we clean everything and we still did not get our deposit back which is a shame on them I do not recommend this place at all to anyone unless you plan to be there for life. read more

Not allowed to see inside of unit until lease is signed. Signing a year lease at high price is not very appealing when sight unseen. Noticed that since I have lived there before compkex not as well maintained, needed paint. Landscaping refreshed, pool area not immaculate as in past. That caused me to wonder about inside of unit. We've lived here almost a year and are about to give our 30 day notice due the $50 rent increase and lots of other reasons that I will tell you all about. The first week we moved in we discovered a slab leak, we had to move into our second bedroom while the master bedroom was completely gutted. A week later the work was complete. Not even 24 hours later I discovered they didn't fix all of the slab leak! they had to completely gut our master bedroom again! We were offered no compensation at all. If you live anywhere near the wall that runs along Telephone Rd be prepared to listen to sirens 24/7 !!! There are retirement facilities all around these apartments. Everyone seems to think Telephone rd is their drag strip, Loud cars, Motorcycles and the police. People constantly jump the wall from Telephone rd into the apartment complex at all ours of the night. Lots of riffraff. Management wont do anything about it! They claim the facility is smoke free but its far from it. people smoke all over the place and if you complain nothing ever gets done about it. Free parking is slim to none as there seems to be a lot of people that live here that have multiple cars. The pool is always COLD its never heated and its always crowded. If you complain they get rude about it and try to make excuses. The Jacuzzi's are always full and un-usable The gym is a joke, the equipment is always broken. We were told when we moved in that the gym was going to be expanded and remolded, its been a year and nothing has been done. Another thing to be concerned about is the device they have installed on the water heaters. They claim its for your heater but they use YOUR electricity to keep the water in the pipes hot at all times so that you use less water (that they're paying for) Your electricity and gas bills get run up to save them from paying for your water use. We now have our 3rd water leak!! it soaked our master bedroom and our new bed! the walls were ripped out again and we had a plumber at our house working until 3am! We've been living out of our living room 7 days now and counting and Management seems to think its no big deal and refuses to compensate us! We discovered BLACK MOLD in the walls that were opened up, and they WONT FIX IT they said its no big deal and sealed the wall back up! beware 1125 #102 has black mold! Thankfully we are moving in a few days! Please look elsewhere its not worth it! The apartments are really old and outdated. I really don't think they're worth the rent they're asking for. read more

I'm going on three years living here and have seen a whole new management team. My water heater does not work properly. I need to run my water for 5-10 mins before it starts to get warm. I had management come out to look at it two times and I was told the pipes were old and it takes a long time to heat the water. A plumber came out and said the water heater needed to be replaced cause it was old and it was told to management. I still have the old water heater. I had several other residents park in my stall and when I made a complaint to management, they said it was up to me to have the car towed. They gave an excuse why they refused to call the tow company. The noise level at the pool area at night is horrendous. People and children yelling at the top of their lungs. The pool has a closing time but every weekend, there are people swimming in it well past the closing time. When ever there is a holiday, the office is closed, people stay in the pool until 3 am. Again, I went to the office and was told they know who the residents are making the noise but refuse to call the police. When I called the police, they refuse to come out and waste their time. The office refuses to take any type of responsibility of anything. This is supposed to be a "Smoke Free" apartment complex but you can see cigarette butts all over inside the complex. Again, the management refuses to take care of the rule and regulation breakers. read more

The complex was a great place to move into, it really felt like a country club setting and the management used to have a lot of get-togethers for tenants so that we felt like a real community. Since management has changed, we have seen a lot of changes to the quality of living. It is really gone downhill, not much for tenant appreciation and now that we have the COVID-19 going on, they are only offering 10% off of rent, even though all of the amenities that we pay for have been taken away. No pool, spa, gym, clubhouse, BBQ area closed. While we agree with this temporary adjustment for everyone's safety, we feel that 10% is a bit of a slap in the face. I have been living here for too long now. If I had the time on my hands and the help to pack up & move I definitely would. If you are considering moving here, I advise that you look elsewhere. The only advantage this complex has over others in the area is the price point which is even too much for the quality of this place in my opinion. EVERYTHING is outdated. First of all, getting in touch with the office is nearly impossible. I never write reviews but seeing that they reply on here is more than they've ever done for their residents. There have been multiple times I've called the office & still to this day have never received a call back from them. One time was when my car was broken into in the middle of the night & the other was when the gardeners leaf blower cracked my windshield. There are also no cameras on the property not even in the car ports. When I first moved into my unit, the carpet was not replaced from the previous resident so the carpet I currently have is over 14 years old. They have just recently in the entire time I've been here started to do inspections. During the inspection that occurred months ago now, it was concluded by the plumber that the pipes were extremely old and needed to be replaced. My entire bathroom always smells like a sewer and when I brought up this issue to the woman in the office, she said it looked fine. There has been no effort to replace or renew anything in the apartment. When I asked for new blinds which took some convincing to begin with, someone came to measure the windows and then nothing was done about it. My kitchen cabinet recently detached from the wall and all the shelves fell apart & cracked the structure. Its nothing that I am able to repair on my own so I told the office last week and still nothing has been done about it and I have not been contacted about when it will be repaired. I am now living with all the contents of my kitchen in boxes in the middle of my living room. During the bad rains that we had last winter, my downstairs neighbors apartment flooded. They woke up one morning to an inch of water covering their entire carpet. It happened on a Saturday and when they called the after hours phone line, they were told to wait till Monday to which they had to tell them it was an issue that could not wait. That same apartment is currently vacant & there have been many workers in and out working on complete new construction of the place. There has been more plumbing issues that required them to be in and out of my unit to turn water on and off which is understandable. One night at around 10:30pm I heard the fire alarm go off downstairs. It lasted quite a while before I called the after hours line to let them know that the alarm was going off and due to so many issues in that unit, I wanted to bring it to their attention in case there was a gas leak or something. When I called and explained the situation, their exact words were "this is an emergency line, this doesn't sound like an emergency" and sounded like someone who just woke up from a nap & I was just an inconvenience. I had to explain that it very well could be an emergency considering all the issues they have had in that unit. Luckily the alarm went off shortly after, but they never came to check. Last winter we had terrible winds & there was a piece of sheet metal that was banging against my units roof. It had been hanging off for over a year and brought to the managements attention several times and nothing was done about it. It took almost 2 years for it to be repaired and that was with constant complaints. Not only was it extremely difficult to sleep but it was also a safety hazard that large sheet metal was about to blow off the roof and could possibly hurt someone and result in a law suit. Last year we had the hottest summer in years and the ac went out in the gym. It took them nearly 4 months to fix the ac and it became the topic of conversation with everyone in the gym about how poorly they handle things in this complex. I have a friend who works in the office at a property in Oxnard and when I tell her how things run around here, she is always appalled. My mother lives at another property in Ventura & her management is on things immediately. Even the smallest of inconveniences. Oh, we also have a very bad issue with brown recluses around here. We have mentioned this several times but again, another thing that is not even acknowledged. There are many more issues that have occurred but for me to include them all, I'd be here all day. Hope this can help someone. I've also created an entire new account with a fake name specifically for this review because I dont even want to deal with these people even though it won't take much for them to figure out who wrote this. Now lets see how fast they actually respond when its a public complaint that may actually affect their business. I've been a resident of the Cypress Point Apartments since losing my home in the Ventura Thomas Fire in 2017 and can recommend living in this community without reservation. The staff is professional, responsive & friendly, promptly responding to every need (including, but not limited to Jennifer, Tyler, Leo (Mgr.) and maintenance crew (Tim). The grounds are beautiful & well-maintained with lovely plants & mature trees, including a playground for kids, swimming pool, fully equipped gym and rec room for parties. Cypress Point also has a security firm to handle calls after office hours. Residents feel safe living here, not to mention the proximity of shopping and restaurants (Vons Ventura Village at Telephone & Victoria) and nearby bus transportation. read more

Our new lease included nearly a $120 rental increase. Not entirely sure why they spoke the residents so high every year. Looks like we will have to leave. Other than the insane rental increases the place is a pretty nice place to live. It is next to Pepper Tree Apartment complex so there is some residual dirtbags and the occasional shooting or stabbing. The nearby shopping center looks to be get rejuvenated which is good to see because it was turning into a pretty crumby and dangerous place. read more

My husband and I lived here for three years (1BR, 1Bath) and we enjoyed this apartment very much. The management are super friendly and professional and they make sure to keep the premises clean and family friendly. We enjoyed the special events and freebies they have during holidays. The gym on site is great and has good hours, the pool and jacuzzi is nicely maintained, the playground is enjoyed by kids(but doesn't get noisy ), and the clubhouse has a nice upstairs lounge area to hang out. The unit we were in had a big closet and bathroom as well. The plentiful trees throughout the complex provided plenty of natural shade and a great atmosphere. We have bought a home now so we will move out, but the management will be missed and my husband and i will always remember our first apartment together. =) read more

Living at Cypress Point Apartments has been a great experience,even two years later i am still as happy as i was when we moved in. The office staff is always available and friendly,any issues i have being household maintenance or a neighbor problem are always addressed in a quick manner. The surroundings on the property are peaceful and well kept,the pool area is immaculate and the pool is heated,and always clean as well as the hot tubs,they have free wi-fi in the clubhouse as well as a pool table and a tv that i always feel welcome to. If you are looking for a great place to live with or without kids,this would be a great choice. read more

This was a great place to live for a few years. We were located in the middle of the complex which probably helped. It was quiet and peaceful, and a five min. walk to the supermarket, restaurants, dry cleaners etc. The thing I appreciated most about Cypress Point was the staff--in the 2 yrs. we lived there I don't think I ever dealt with any staff member who was not friendly, professional and helpful. I would probably remove half a star for the apartment fixtures, ie. sinks, cabinets, windows, which are older and not best quality, but whenever I called in a problem it was fixed usually same day. The tenants are a eclectic mix of singles, couples, families, students, retirees, etc., but people were quiet and respectful and we enjoyed our time there. read more

People always ignore the NO SMOKING rules and management doesn't do anything about it. Pool is always over crowded. Old and outdated apartments. Lots of sirens due to the retirement homes.
