I have been living here since January and I love it. Pablo made the move in process very easy and Christina and Evelyn are always friendly and welcoming in the leasing office. Especially because my dog makes me go multiple times a day for treats and attention! And then circles around to go back in. The views are beautiful and peaceful. Hi Everyone! We all have different experiences with Coastline Ventura. I once lived there in 2021 to 2023 - I wish I never left. It was Evelyn that helped me before and it's still Evelyn in the property. She's very helpful and on it! Currently, Pablo in leasing office is super helpful, kind, and intuitive. Evelyn was very unfriendly and not considerate of my situation whatsoever. She made me not want to rent at Coastline. There are over 20 one bedrooms and 5 two bedrooms available for a reason apparently. Many of those apartments have been vacant for 6 months. The place has so many vacant apartments and Evelyn refused to show me other apartments that were less expensive and tried to force me into the most expensive apartment they had available. They also refused to show me the parking spots that go with the apartment. I drove 30 minutes to view several available apartments because another leasing agent Christina told me to come at that time - and then was told they are closing for a staff party at noon but I could come back later! Nope. I was only in town for a short time. I wish they would have talked to me on the phone but their voicemail is full. They don't return calls because the office is understaffed and they're always out giving tours. They have a one month free special, but Evelyn refused to honor the promotion and told me the free month is only for "some" apartments, but she could check with management and get back to me. But then she tried to tell me I had to run and get a check and pay her the entire move-in costs upfront when I signed the lease - without ever showing me the actual apartment I wanted! The law in California and the lease states that you don't pay move-in fees until the day you move in and get the key. Very shady. Evelyn gave me a very negative vibe. She talked over me and interrupted me and did not listen to or care about a word I said. If the leasing agent is this rude to a potential resident I don't want to know how inconsiderate they are to actual residents. Also, all three leasing agents - Pablo, Evelyn and Christina - were not on the same page and told me different contradictory things. After reading all the negative reviews about residents trapped on the 3rd and 4th floor having to take the stairs for 3+ months because they don't fix elevators I definitely feel like I dodged a bullet by not renting at Coastline! read more

The location is one of the best parts -- being so close to the beach makes it easy to enjoy morning walks, sunsets, and the overall relaxed Ventura vibe. It's also super walkable to Main Street, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to do nearby. Pablo was friendly and helpful throughout the experience, which made everything even better. Every time I communicated with her, from states away, she was kind and informative and super helpful. Coastline Ventura - Beautiful breathtaking views too! - Apartments Near Me - Ventura, California

We've been living here for almost 2 years now. Sadly, there have been a lot of maintenance issues in the buildings. We had some leaking from our windows, & the walls had water damage. We had someone open up the walls in our room to repair it but was left it like this for 3 weeks now. Not sure when someone will close it up. It has been an eye sore with some of our room furniture out in the living room while we wait. We were told that many tenants are having the same issue, which is why it's been taking a while for them to fix it. I've enjoyed living here most of our lease but it seems like there has been quite a few issues with the buildings and gates to get into the parking lot. Hoping this gets fixed soon! read more

I am not one to lightly post reviews and I'm probably the most likely to post an overly kind one. However, when it comes to the coastline and its management I am absolutely appalled and I feel it warrants sharing my experience before anyone else hands over excessive rent money to those who don't care about their tenants at all. I'm a working mom with a 1 year old. She was 2 months when we moved here to a 4th floor apartment with an elevator. It should come as absolutely no surprise that I would never have rented a 4th floor apartment w a new baby if there were no elevator. About 3.5 months ago the elevator started malfunctioning. We notified the management as did other tenants and it was eventually taken out of service (after weeks of dangerous feeling jolting and stalling). We were not notified of a time line for repair and after maybe 2 weeks of lugging a stroller, a baby, groceries and work gear up and down the stairs we asked for updates from the management office. We were told "it's being worked on" and "there's a part that needs to be ordered we think". One manager suggested that "at least [we're] getting good exercise". Offensive, yes. But I cared less about that and more about the fact that they seemed to not know nor care what was happening in the complex they're responsible for. After about 6 weeks of no elevator, we wrote to the manager and asked for a partial rent credit since our agreement to rent this apartment was at least in part on the basis of accessibility. What we received was not a response from the manager but a letter from greystars lawyer stating essentially that sometimes problems occur and they are not liable for them and they don't owe us anything including but not limited to a rent credit. But not to worry, his client "cares deeply about the residents comfort". It took another 6 weeks (a total of ~2.5 months) for the elevator to finally come back into service. It's been working for 2 days now. In the meantime we cancelled a visit from a family member who is wheelchair bound since there was no access for him here and continued to pay what was already a steep rent but felt like robbery considering what we were experiencing. The owner has been replying to reviews on google w a promise to rectify the situation and a phone number to call. However, the phone number is to the management office secretary. Other tenants have mentioned that they believed the responses and called the number only to feel tricked once again when the secretary reports there's nothing she can do and she doesn't know what they're talking about. I think this behavior is abhorrent and it's clear that the goal is to subvert tenants' needs and rights. I'm relieved that the elevator works but I have zero faith that it will remain working nor do I have faith that they will tend to any other issues that arise despite heavily overcharging for rent. read more

This place is paradise! The views are amazing and it's shockingly quiet! We never hear our neighbors. The location is ultra convenient and walkable to nearly anything you might need. Evelyn and the front office team are exceptionally kind and helpful. Jose doesn't let the dust settle on any maintenance needs- he fixes everything super fast! This property has taken down my review on Google which makes me wonder how many others have been deleted on other sites to justify the high rating. Yes the property is lovely, but the owners are extremely shady and not concerned with safety. My windows did not lock the entire time I lived there on the ground floor. Police were there all the time. Live here at your own risk. Currently waiting to get back the rest of my security deposit, which they took part of without any justification (totally illegal). We settled 2 months ago after I filed suit and they have yet to pay. Unbelievable. read more

Be careful with Coastline Ventura. Misguiding people is not to be a good seller. Unfortunately they use bad faith as a strategy. They are capable of renting flats WITHOUT ceiling fan lights - such a basic component item -, and if you complain about it, the same "lovely" people who toured you will blithely say: "Did you not see that before on the tour?". Or maybe they will say: "Yeah, it was an aftertought of the Coastline Ventura. Unfortunately, we do not have any spares here; you should buy them yourselves". So, you can rent your flat and, surprise: you don't have light. Evidently they try to put their fault on you. Extremely disappointed. read more

I've been here for a year, and I really enjoy the location with its proximity (walking distance) to the beach, downtown and the fair grounds. The freeway and train on either side of the complex are not ideal, but you get used to it after a while. The buildings and apartments are all new and nice. Communications with the office have been a bit challenging, but once I'm able to catch them, they're always very friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a nice place and I'd recommend it. read more

This hurts to even write, because when we originally moved in here, it was amazing. The people were great, and management was incredible and that's what really sold us on the place. When we first moved in to the fourth floor, on the second day of moving - the elevator stopped working. Normal right, sometime that happens. Not sure if it's normal for a brand new building, but hey let's climb the stairs. That lasted about a week. Fast forward to renewal of the lease a year later, management had changed, and everyone in the office just didn't seem to care much about what was going on on the property. Saw police there all the time, I know someone died in one of the far end apartments and yesss it was awful to even be in the area.. Just not what I expected paying a little over 4k a month including bills which may not be much for a lot, it is for others. So after all this mess and changes, we decided we didn't want to renew, and during that time, our elevator happen to go out AGAIN - but this time for THREE MONTHS!!! With no care in the world from management, I believe even after telling them for a week, not even a single email was sent to us to let us know what is going on, nor that it was out. Finally after a while they let us know one single email. And then for three months of asking no word on when it would be fixed. So we took the stairs every single day for months. Mind you it's a BRAND NEW BUILDING, giving that, as tenants paying for a floor with accessibility, to then not having it, wasn't the best and the care from the management team, or even the owners of the place showed absolutely no care for us. And all they could say was "at least you're getting exercise" seems like others heard the same thing. Very rude and disrespectful if you ask me, I would have loved to see them do that same thing everyday. To all this, it was an awful last three months we decided not to stick around and leave, and grateful for that. So as this experience was terrible with the property, I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else! You're better off spending your money elsewhere! Just a thought! read more

Coastline is a beautiful place to call home. I love being able to walk to the beach and see the water from my apartment. I have been impressed with how clean the grounds are, and how friendly everyone is on the various teams for maintenance and leasing and management. In particular Evelyn and Michelle helped me so much in making a relocation from the Bay Area very easy. If you are thinking about checking it out, I recommend coming by.
