like others, I wish I had written read these reviews before I visited this office. The receptionist was very nice. That was the end of my good experience there. Other than her, no one seemed to care about my comfort. and if you're a normal height man or a tall woman, you will be constantly told to watch for your head because everything is set up for very small people. When I sat in the chair (which was difficult because it is extremely low to the ground and I'm older), I told the assistant that the headrest was very uncomfortable. She said, "You'll get a pillow when you get treated." Then she almost forgot even that. After charging me more than twice what the Oral Surgeon charged for a conical x-ray, you would think they could afford adjustable chairs and headrests. Then the endodontist hurt me worse than I have ever been hurt in a dental office before. and I have been hurt a lot at the dentist. She was testing my other tooth and she told me it was a good thing it hurt because that meant that the tooth was alive. When examining the infected tooth to determine if it was loose, she was so rough that I still felt the effects the next day. Oh, and by the way, the oral surgeon determined the same thing without hurting me very much. I can only conclude that this endodontist doesn't care if she hurts you. I assume my dentist sent me to this endodontist because she uses holistic treatment. To hell with that. Next time I'm going to my old endodontist that was kind. And I'm reconsidering my present dentist for sending me there. read more

The only reason it's one star is because I couldn't leave a review without it... I DO NOT recommend HER!!! And I repeat****I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER!! I'm not gonna go into details because it's too many; the receptionist sweet as pie. The dental assistant not so much the dentist horrible from the time I went to the back to the time I left was a horrible experience again too many details to add. I was referred by a friend of hers so I'm not gonna bash her too much just know that I don't recommend you to go to her!! I paid $500 out of pocket for the worst experience trust and believe it has nothing to do with the money!! I would have rather given somebody $700 with OK treatment than $500 of horrible treatment. You are correct, I was advised two days prior to my appointment of the estimated out-of-pocket expense; Which was $500-$600. So I was actually prepared for worst case scenario. Boy, did I get worst case scenario... and it was not pertaining to funds! However m, you would like me to mention a LONG LIST OF ISSUES .. HERE'S JUST THE FIRST 10!! 1. No temperature taken (As stated on the door before you walk in) 2. Consult/treatment plan given (wrong patient) 3. You and the assistant obviously were having communication issues; in the middle of my procedure you left out ..only for a few seconds ( BUT STILL)you came back with the SAME GLOVES ON and continued with the procedure. 4. You applied the topical lidocaine and immediately began shooting me up.. DAMN can I get topically numb first? 5.Every time you reached for a tool from the assistant, you hit me in the nose with the dental explorer. 6. During the procedure, you were drilling to remove the infected pulp... NOT ONCE DID MY MOUTH GET SUCTIONED.. not to mention I tried to give you guys a hint.. I mean who wants to swallow bacteria and tooth shavings? 7. Your response after the treatment was complete.." all done my lady" Initially I was told that the tooth was so infected it may be a two appointment process, so before you walked out of the room I asked "hey are we done? do I have to come back"? and your reply was "no, I did it all today" HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT...? 8. I had gutta-percha residue in my mouth. Wasn't given the option to rinse. 9.No after care consultation!! do's and don'ts .. what to expect.. What to avoid.. How are you feeling ? Do you need a pain reliever ? Should I continue the antibiotics (since the tooth was SOOO INFECTED.. How long will this temporary filling last... ? I HAD TONS OF QUESTIONS!!! Unfortunately I had the same experience as some older reviews I read, I wish I looked at this before hand. This Dr has no regard for radiation exposure to the patient. I brought in all my previous scans, CT just done 2 months prior and I was told they needed to redo. I'm not sure why, a CT scan is pretty darn clear, and I know of another patient with same drs that used the exact same scans that she used. I was also told that Dentists have to use their own image it's the law.... hum, now i know its a lie. But they got $484 dollars out of me for the scan and xrays, just to tell me that same thing my dentist told me. read more

Not impressed. Misrepresented the law. Arrive 3 minutes before my appointment and no employee in sight. Stand at the front desk and wait. Young female finally comes up and ignores me. I start speaking by telling her who I am and what time my appointment is. I tell her I have an x-ray. She replies we can't use your x-ray because we have to take our own as required by law. She misrepresented the law. I told her that I was an attorney and that her statement was not true. She turned a little red and asked me to have a seat. She then snuck off to the back as she made a phone call and didn't reappear. There is no law that says they can't use an x-ray that is less than two days old from the dentist that referred us to them. This is simply a scheme to make more money. If they would lie about that what else will they lie about? I prefer to have a dentist and a practice that I can trust. I'm going elsewhere read more

I was refer to this specialist name Vi C. Ho at this location Bc the Chinese dentist at Emmy dental screwed up on my root canal. Only to speak to an dental assistant telling me that my consultation with the specialist tomorrow will cost me $184 and she'll have to calculate how much my service is when I'm there. Look lady, your place is a rip off.... I'm not stepping my foot in your place...there are so many honest dentist specialist besides you. You guys up-charge for every lil thing. Super annoyed my destiny referred here.I was just informed the $1200 I already paid was just for the consultation and root canal that it didn't cover the cost of the crownmy last dentist cost $1500k for everything and now it's ganna cost another $1200 just for the crown.I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have money to throw away.I have dentaphobia and I didn't feel like they took that seriously they kept telling me "don't worry you won't feel anything" but it's not about the pain it's about people being in my mouth and messing with my teeth and the best they could do was gas they told me they couldn't prescribe anything for anxiety when other places where I've had crown work done could.won't be going back and again annoyed at my dentist for recommending read more

Terrible experience. I hope that this review will help the next person. I have never had such a bad experience. I need a root canal. My dentist referred me to see Dr. Vi Ho. I saw my dentist on a Monday, where I had a XR and a CT scan done. I went to Dr. Ho on Wednesday morning. I went to see Dr. Ho because I needed a consultation to discuss possible treatment. I walked into the facility and was asked to fill out paperwork. After that, I was given a $667.00 bill from which $388.00 was taken from my insurance, and I had to use my credit card to pay the remaining balance. I begged the front office to call my dentist, that referred me to their office to send the CT scan, and the front office people convinced me that I had to take one at their office. I was never notified about the cost of this consultation; I needed to take a seat; I was confused, because the other dentists that I had been to had not charged me for first-time consultation appointments, but I had to pay $667.00 for this office consultation. I needed clarification; they did not offer me an option to reschedule and they acknowledged that they called the wrong number the day before when they "attempted" to contact me. I had already taken time off my job and was at their office. The staff told me they tried to call me the day before to discuss my benefits and my out-of-pocket responsibilities. At the same time, they told me they called the wrong number and missed it by one digit. Right now, I am second-guessing if that really happened or not. I don't think that they tried at all to call me. After the CT scan, I was asked to lay in the chair and wait for the endodontist. Dr. Ho walked into the room and said I needed a root canal (she never even acknowledged or made any reference to the dentist who referred me there). She had terrible bedside manners, did not sit on a chair, she stood up the whole time as I was lying down. I felt like I was being talked down upon about my issue. Zero compassion whatsoever. She never looked professional nor showed that she understood how I felt about my situation. The visit lasted only 10 minutes. She just repeated what my dentist said that I needed a root canal. I proceed to the front office for a treatment plan, but I will not be going back there. The whole experience was awful. It cost me $667.00 to be told what I already knew. Be informed via my bad experience and the other reviewers. If you found this place by searching on Google, keep scrolling to the next endodontist on the list. If your dentist is referring you here, ask for another option. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Words cannot describe how amazing Dr. Ho and her staff are. Had an emergency one inconvenient night when no one else could help she did. She got me taken care of quick and easy and stayed in touch to make sure I was ok. Several weeks later same thing and she took care of me again. Highly recommend to anyone.
