Dr Tod Bruchmiller was a saint, he has a great bedside manner. I always have to power through during the many tooth procedures I ve had, well it was nice to rely on his and his lovely staff for moral support. He redid a root canal and it was a smooth procedure and quick. The staff hygienist gave me otc pain meds before leaving! Also instructions for pain relief. Thats never happened and as I mentioned , I ve had many procedures unfortunately. They also were open on Friday and got me through a very painful aching tooth before getting back to work on Mon. I don't go around looking for what's wrong, It's just a waste of time and energy. However, when it jumps up and clobbers you over the head, you have to sit up and take notice. In a nutshell, I was in pain and more than ready to get it taken care of. I found Gulf Coast Endodontists who could take me that day for a consult. I got the consult and they even scheduled me for 3 hours later for a repeat root canal. When I showed up for the root canal, I was met with bitter and serious attitude from 2 different chair side assistants for the 3rd and final time. With strike 3, I said never mind....I'm outta here. There's just No reason for "stinky attitude" in exchange for pleasant customer service. I left and found another Endo immediately. read more

Total waste of my time and money. I experienced dishonesty and incompetence. They are quick to take your money, run up your insurance and waste weeks of your time. If you are on time for appointments you will set in the lobby for ever. Very unprofessional behavior. They never quit trying to up sell you. Be very careful. read more

So three days ago I posted a very unflattering review of this endodontics office because of a very poorly handled situation I had there. In a nutshell they did not have their billing people quite up to speed with some different kinds of procedures or payment options and what should have been a very smooth transaction turned into a nightmare. The procedure had already been done so I was forced to pay a large amount out-of-pocket rather than putting it on a credit that they had assured me they took. So yes I posted a very negative review, I was very unhappy. Today I got a call from Martha from gulf coast endodontics. Martha explain to me that this had happened before with other people and that there had been similar complaints and she was extremely sorry for what I went through. not only did she apologized profusely and assure me that the situation had been rectified, she also offered me a 50% discount on the services that I had paid for. This making right effort on Martha's part has definitely warranted a new and updated review from me. This is what should have been done in the first place and even though it took 3 days for it to happen, it did happen. So I got a 50% refund on the services provided, and not only did I get the partial refund, she further went on to ask how I was doing after the procedure. when I had the procedure done, I was told I would get a call back the next day from the office to see how things were going. That never happened, and I was indeed having problems. I could feel things coming out of my wound site and it hurt horribly but there was no way I was prepared to go back to the same location that I had felt wronged from. Martha ask me how I was doing and I was honest with her and she fixed it she offered for me to go to another location and have them take care of the pain I was in and she even called in a prescription for me for the pain medication that I had originally requested but somehow got turn down for. I ended up going back to my original dentist and sure enough there were pieces of sutures poking out of my wound site from a previous extraction the week before so we took care of that at my current dental office and all is well now. So I am changing my one star review to A four star review. And it's only because Martha took the time to be honest and made it right. Unfortunately the staff didn't do it, it was an office manager who took the initiative which I am very grateful for. But I definitely will hold with that even though things went bad initially, they indeed were made right and I am now happy with the outcome. I can now eat and drink on this side of my mouth which I haven't been able to do for 3 days. So again thank you to Martha for reading my initial review, admitting that this was indeed a problem, fixing the problem, and then making it right with me. I saw that they had already had five star reviews and I hated leaving a one-star review, but what had happened to me was inexcusable. Again big kudos to Martha for making it right. If I have to go back again I will give them another opportunity knowing that there will be recourse if I feel something went wrong with it again. But as of now, I am happy with the accommodations made to me to make it right. Great job Martha, you brought and one star review up to a 4 star. Fantastic customer attention. read more

What you may think you know about having elevated dental work performed, and your fear factor surrounding it, you can leave it behind - you won't need it here. Great people. Great experience for an event that is generally an unpleasant affair. The inside of the office and patient room was inviting and relaxing while the staff and doctor was top notch. There was a tv above the patient chair, but the procedure was quick and painless so I didn't need the welcome distraction. The price for the operation was consistent with what I expected, while the customer service was exquisite. Never had a route canal before and I definitely don't want another, but if I do, I will be going back to Gulf Coast Endodontics. read more

Very disappointed by the incompetence of the receptionist and the pricing she quoted. She told me that my insurance doesn't cover certain procedures and that I have to pay for those separately. I was also told that the insurance prices quoted "do not work at specialists". I called insurance "Delta" who were very concerned and said that the negotiated rates have to be used if the practice wants to remain "in network" and everything discussed was covered - just as I had pointed out on my plan documents to the receptionist. I was also told by my insurance to file a report of fraud. I did not feel comfortable with the dentist or the office staff. I was so frustrated when leaving and in distress due to the whole experience. After finally finding an excellent endodontist I can now see even more clearly how we are manipulated and held ransom by the medical industry when we are vulnerable. Stay clear, unless money is of no consequence. Be very weary of the "professionals" up selling you for what is not actually needed. Whew lucky escape for me. read more

I've had a lot of dental work--enough that I have to think hard to count up the number of root canals I've experienced, and which includes an implant or two to boot. This sort of dental work is generally unpleasant, expensive, and time-consuming. (But better than the alternative.) I've also moved a lot, so have experience with quite a few different dentists and endodontists. I recently had yet another root canal, and feel fortunate that I was referred to Gulf Coast. Dr. Rouhani-Terrany and Dana were terrific. I've never had such care taken during the numbing process, which usually involves one long, painful push of numbing medication into an only topically-numbed area. Instead, the doctor injected a small amount, then waited a few minutes until it numbed the area around it. Then she numbed me the rest of the way (while Dana helped to distract by rubbing my shoulder). This is a pretty small detail, but reveals a level of care and empathy that I have not had the pleasure of experiencing during my years of assorted dental woes. The root canal itself was made less distressing by the TV on the ceiling (somewhat standard for dentists these days) AND headphones that let you drown out some of the noise of the drill. This is the first dentist/ specialist I've been to with headphones. I'll be suggesting to the others that they consider installing them. They took my insurance, and the out-of-pocket seemed reasonable for this sort of procedure. The root canal itself took and hour or two. That's just the nature of these things. But they were able to get it done the same day as the exam to determine if it was necessary, which was great. All in all, they made the entire experience as un-unpleasant as possible. And given that the cliches about root canals are rooted (pun sort of intended) in truth, that is high praise. read more

I'm pretty afraid of the dentist but Dr Marci made me feel instantly better with her calm demeanor and straight-forward description of the process of doing a retreat root canal. Unlike my first root canal on the same tooth, this second procedure was painless, and was over before I knew it. This review is based on my personal experience. BE VERY CAREFUL of charges, look at every line item, they will charge for items that the insurance already covers. Moreover, what they say verbally DOES NOT MATCH what is written on the forms they ask you to sign. We (my husband and I) had experienced dishonesty and incompetence (Terrany refused to pull up the prior x-rays and compare tooth before and after), moreover, she was defensive each time a question was asked regarding where the infection/decay is and if she can show it to us. After the consult, which we paid for we said thanks, but NO THANKS. Thankfully we still have options and this office is a definite no. read more

I was referred by a friend who said they were the best and they really are. I really don't like going to the dentist/endodotist but they made it easy and comfortable for me. They have flat screens on the ceiling, headphones and state of the art microscope they use during the procedure (instead of the endodontist being in your face). My experience has been the best so far compared to any other visits I've had at other places. It was beyond pleasant. read more

I had 2 root canals today. I was extremely anxious and worried that I would feel pain and lose my 2 crowns. Marci Mazzuca worked on my difficult teeth: obstruction, post removal, and drilling through crowns, to complicate my root canals. She was very competent and successfully completed both root canals with no pain. The only pain was the initial shot of novicain. The assistant brought me a blanket, headphones, access to TV.... She took care of me, and made sure I was comfortable. This office made an unpleasant, scary situation into a bearable, victorious one. read more

I was referred by my insurance after my regular dentist was not able to complete a root canal. All the staff was very efficient and knowledgeable. Got me in within a day. Years ago I had a horrible experience with a root canal and my nerves had me on edge. The staff was great. I was given laughing gas which calmed my nerves. I didn't even feel the anesthesia shots. First of all let me say that I do not like going to the dentist. When I was told I needed a root canal I was not happy. Having said that let me just tell you that I will no longer have that dreaded feeling if I need another root canal in the future. Gulf Coast does it up right! I was in and out in an hour. They hooked me up to gas, I got headphones (for the TV on the ceiling), a blanket and the staff was awesome. Their office looked more like a spa than a doctor's office. I was pleasantly surprised how pain-free it was and I am a patient that is highly sensitive and no dentist ever seems to give me enough Novocain but they were spot on today! Very comfortable experience. I had an old root canal that needed repairing. The office was nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was offered a blanket which made me comfy. I was also offered headphones because there was a tv on the ceiling to watch during treatment. I had never seen this before. I will return if I ever need another root canal. I was extremely disappointed. Appeared to me that the particular endodontist we consulted, was more concerned about doing business with her, rather than doing the RIGHT thing and refer an oral surgeon. We left with way more questions than answers. The staff as well was very frustrating to deal with. Three phone calls to them, and they still would not simply email over to the oral surgeon the necessary referral and X-ray. All said and done, I would not refer Cypress Gulf Coast Endodontics at all. read more

I was terrified when I walked in, but the staff and everyone was so amazing! They walked me through step by step while they were working on my tooth and explained what was going on, they gave me headphones that I could control the volume on so the grinding noise was pretty much covered and I was able to watch my favorite show!
