    Cecily's outstanding work

Cecily did an amazing job from beginning to end, an all around great artist to work with.

This is the piece Jason did in honor of my Father.

Amazing shop. I just had a time piece done in my deceased Father and I am so glad I went there. Jason was very professional and really understood my wants. I will be going back!!

Wow! This place is amazing. Jason was able to fit me in at very short notice for a small tattoo. He shows empathy, kindness and was top notch professional. Helped me with colour choices and placement. Didn't rush me to make a decision. The studio is really cool with lots of fabulous and interesting artefacts on display, even a taxidermy 'jackelope' and unicorn skull. My tattoo is wonderful. 10/10 highly recommend!

I contacted Jason with a vague idea. He asked all the right questions and drew up a great design for me and the tattoo turned out amazing. Reasonably priced, too!

Came to the city searching for an artist who would be available to accept a walk-in for myself and a friend. We were lucky enough to stumble across Miss Cicely, who was very open to help us! I appreciate how she told me her concerns about my original idea. I respect her professional approach, and she is very flexible and patient. I appreciate how she made sure that I would be happy with the size and placement of the tattoo. In a male-doninated industry, I am so happy to be supporting a female artist. She made my first tattoo experience comfortable and fun. Cicely is awesome! Thank you for your kindness!

I love my tattoo!!! By some magical means I don't even understand, Jason knew what I wanted even more than I did. I provided an image that I liked, but wanted slightly altered, and some fairly vague words about the "gestalt" I had in mind, and Jason absolutely nailed it. the tattoo itself took about half the time and cost about 1/4 what I expected, to boot. I have already recommended Cyclopse to several friends, who also love my tattoo, and I'll continue to do so!

    The beautiful after picture!

Amazing work and a super talented and kind tattoo artist and shop owner. He brought new life to my old tattoo and I can't say enough positive things about my experience!

I couldn't be more ecstatic. This is an overdue review! Jason changed my life! I had 4 kids and crazy stretch marks. I knew that I wanted to do a tattoo to cover them up for over 23 years. I still plan on coloring the flowers but until then I am so humbled and in love with my tattoo! You can barley see my stretch marks. Not only did he put together a beautiful piece but he has a wonderful light touch and is very knowledgeable and has so much patience. Thank Jason you are an amazing person that created a profound impact on me!

I had a great remote consultation followed by a wonderful in-person experience. This was my first tattoo, but I don't think it will be my last. I drove over 3.5 hours for my appointment yesterday, and Jason's artistry is worth it. His years of experience and natural talent, combined with his friendly and professional demeanor, helped to set me at ease and feel confident in my decision to move ahead. I am thrilled with my new tattoo, and so are the friends and family I've shared it with. (Photo shows it still with the bandage on.)

My best friend and I each got a tattoo by Owen. He was so friendly and came up with the cutest designs for each of us! He was so gentle with us both and made sure to check in on us. The colors came out fantastic and I couldn't be happier with his work. Definitely come here!

I almost don't want to write this review, since Jason already books out pretty far in advance, but I can't help myself. When I find something or someone truly amazing I feel the need to share it with all of you. I am the type of person who gets a tattoo idea in my mind and then I quietly stew over it for a couple of years, all the while searching the internets for the artist that I believe can translate the image in my head into an image on my body. If you are going to be insanely picky over anything, a tattoo and a tattoo artist is really the place to do it. What other product are you going to carry around with you for the rest of your life? I wanted a peacock on my leg. I wanted it to be realistic, and rich with deep colors. And almost all of the artists that I had found used a more cartoon or classic tattoo style for their art. Then I found Jason. After looking at the pictures on his website I knew that he was the guy for me. We met up for a consult and I was comfortable with the idea that he was going to do an amazing job. And the next time we met to get my tattoo started he proved me completely correct. Over 2 sessions, and 5 and a half hours my peacock came to life. Jason is fast, efficient, and fun to hang out with while he's stabbing you repeatedly with needles. The shop itself is tiny since there are only the two artists that work there, but it is packed with the most random chachkis that anyone could hope to stare at for hours on end. My personal favorite is the duck with the bling. The shop isn't in the most pleasant part of town, but once you're inside it doesn't matter. Just be careful not to park in the loading zones outside. Stupid SF parking control! lol Everyone I know is impressed with my tattoo, and I have since recommended him to many other people, 3 of which I know are now loyal customers of his, as am I. I have since gone back to him for 2 other tattoos, and I have 2 more that I am thinking of getting, one of which I think I'm actually going to make an appointment with him for once I am done with this review. So there's my review... now please don't completely inundate him and make it impossible for me to get my last 2 pieces done by him! =)

9.5 inch rib tattoo by Jason
    Jess C.

Jason is a true professional. He said all the right things during a tattooing process that can be stressful, yet rewarding. His work is remarkable and attention to detail seems to come second nature to him. I got my first rib tattoo from Jason. He gave me a price estimate for about 2 hours of work. He was extremely efficient. The actual tattoo ultimately took less than 1.5 hours. For an artist of Jason's caliber, his fees are very reasonable. I had a great time!

I originally came in for a flash sale, but they overbooked and asked to move me to the following day. I let them know I would be out of town that morning, so they offered me the last appointment of the day and took my deposit. The next day, after reassessing my schedule, I realized I wouldn't be able to make it and informed them as soon as possible. I was told the deposit was non-refundable. I then asked if I could reschedule for another day, but they said no because it was part of the flash sale--even though the rescheduling was due to their overbooking. I also asked if the deposit could be applied toward a regular (non-flash sale) appointment, and that was declined as well. I ultimately kept the appointment, but the situation didn't sit well with me. While the artist did great work, I was disappointed in how the studio handled the booking and deposit policy.

Okay so 15 years ago I had surgery on my chest (keyword: transman, ftm, transguy, transgender male, you get the idea) and my nipples did not stay in tact. They actually feel off in front of me in the shower with the scabs. What a nightmare. Reconstructing new nipples was not possible or ideal with my surgeon so I've been living with flat nipples and discolored areolas for the last 15 years. I really thought I had NO hope until I found Sasha. Angels sing please, wait for it and rejoice. I've been wanting to do 3D nipple tattooing and areola re-pigmenting for awhile but was 1. not in the best state of health and 2. very very very nervous. Well today, we finally made this happen. I got an appointment schedule over a month in advance. I put down a $100 deposit via Pay Pal. I waited and panicked and then the big day came. I got a ride down to SF. Sasha's shop is on the 17th floor of a building in Union Square. There's a parking garage a block away. It cost $35 and gets you up to 12 hours in the lot. You are not going to find street parking so if you're driving you will want to fork out $35 and be happy your car is safe with only a block to walk! Sasha gave me complete instructions and directions ahead of time. She is VERY professional and organized with her scheduling and timing. The office she works out of is awesome! The entire office and outdoor patio (with wild beautiful birds and parrots might I add) has a total zen approach. The front desk folks were also REALLY NICE and totally trans/queer friendly. Sasha's room was very clean with a sitting area for guests. She was extremely polite, patient, compassionate and thorough to walk me through the ENTIRE process and 1. give me voice throughout it all and 2. check in frequently to see how I was doing. Nipple and areola shopping is quite fun! I got to pick the size, shape and color variation to design on my chest. Boom! I feel so Hollywood now ;) She is extremely sterile and showed me ALL the needles she was using before and as she was using them. Everything from the office, her station, the tattoo bed, frequent changing of gloves, packaged needles, organized ink palettes, fresh paper towels, rubbing alcohol, ETC were CLEAN. I really appreciated how intuitive she was like when I held my breath during bits of pain and she could feel me tense up and gently remind me to breathe. I was excited and anxious and nervous and emotional all at once but she eased me through EVERYTHING. May I also include she has a gentle hand so the needles don't feel like they are digging deeper than deep like some tattoo artists who put all their weight on their artistry hands. Pain level ... well this boy whimpered some but she did use some topical anesthetic after the skin had been broken into to help ease pain. It DID help some. My results, pre bandaging, were beautiful. The bandaging she used is really neat. It's waterproof and clear like a clear tape. I honestly can't stop staring at my new nips even if things are still bloody and bandaged up! I was given very detailed after care instructions which I will be meticulous about following. I can't wait to see the overall results. I'll be scheduling a touch up/follow up in a 1 1/2 months or so. I look forward to seeing her again! Cost breakdown for ME and what I got done: $700 total... that's $100 deposit then $450 the day of the tattoo and then I will pay $150 during our touch up + tip today and I'll tip again on the touch up. Don't forget to tip. Some artists will say you don't have to, don't listen! Tips for those new nips my friends! TIPS! 100% happy with my experience, actually happy is an understatement. I am enthralled like a unicorn catching rainbows and sprinkling glitter from the sky. Yes, indeed. I will recommend her in a HEARTBEAT to any other trans folks who need this procedure, cancer and mastectomy patients or just anyone in need of this kind of help. I was SO ASHAMED of my chest, a chest I fought so hard to learn to love post surgery but still deeply upset about what happened and the trauma from loosing my nipples to my feet in the shower (yikes, just imagine). Now I can live again. This is part 1 of my chest tattooing process (I'll be doing scar coverage with another artist since Sasha is not taking new decorative tattoo clients at this time) and then I will be free. You deserve to be free too. I hope you will consider Sasha and let her help you change your life, confidence and get your groove back!!!
