TLDR: Eugene is amazing!!! Highly recommend and will be coming back :) I can't say enough good things about working with Eugene. From the moment I shared my idea with him, he was open, easy to talk to, and incredibly accommodating. I came in with a Sailor Moon x Lemurian spiritual concept that was very personal to me, and not only did he honor everything I envisioned -- he added his own artistic brilliance to elevate it even further. His attention to detail is insane. Every line, shape, and symbol was placed with care, and you can feel the intention in his work. He recently added a cherry blossom and hummingbird to continue the story on my arm, and it came out even more beautiful than I imagined. What I appreciate most is how much Eugene really listens. He took my ideas seriously and made me feel like a true collaborator, not just a client. He's thoughtful, creative, and has the kind of calm, grounded energy that makes the whole experience feel special. I'm already planning to come back to add color and more pieces. Such a great shop! My friend got a custom tattoo by Sofia (@sofia.tats) and it came out great. The overall experience was so smooth and really quite a beautiful shop. (Even have a snack station) Nice and clean and a plus is they have multiple clean bathrooms. Each station is a different artist and has various decor and trinkets so you can see the personality of each artist. She was feeling a little sick so we all wore masks- so it is a Covid safe shop. She was really sweet and friendly /understanding. The tattoo was pretty fast at maybe a little over an hour. Great experience! Would recommend. read more

I got my tattoo from Millie this week - she was amazing, needless to say! I first booked my consult back in January and the actual tattoo appt was scheduled for October - which felt like a really long wait, but in hindsight with the pandemic, wasn't bad at all. I LOVE Millie's style and it was a lot of fun watching her sketch out what I wanted. She is an in incredible artist, and it was really easy to work with her. We also got along really well and were able to chat through the whole appt (I was there for ~6 hours with the design and tattoo). My friend also got tattooed by Millie after I did, and we were both extremely happy with the results. Millie is patient and provides honest feedback about what you want and offers great suggestions on how things will look. The shop was laid out really nicely and clean, with each artist having their own dedicated space. I had my temperature taken and they also had each person sanitize their hands upon entry, and gave everyone a garbage bag to store their personal belongings so that it wouldn't contaminate the area. Such a great studio!! I got a gorgeous unrepeatable flash done by Nayelli and it was the most professional tattoo experience I've had. They were so kind and friendly and I barely felt the needles at all--even though it was on my inner upper arm! All of their artists in general seem incredibly talented based on all the flash sheets and happy clients I saw. I was really looking forward to getting my first tattoo with Brittney, she is my tattoo artist. The day we after 2 hours working on this tattoo, we still have some coloring need to do. Unfortunately, She got another appointment behind me, she said she would contact me and finish my tattoo next day and I'm ok with that. I waited all day for no reply...When I contacted her again, she said she was full book and no time for me, and also I need to wait 6 weeks. I'm leaving this city next week I've already told her in advance. Obviously, She won't finish my tattoo in this case. I feel like she trick me because we have agreed to coloring it on the next day, but she break the promise. I don't know if it's because I'm not a local so I was treated differently. As much as I liked the tattoo, I still was disappointed. I'll probably go somewhere later and spend another amount of money on this tattoo and get it done. read more

There cannot be a shop that is more friendly, open, or has the caliber of artists that Undrgrnd has. I am lucky enough to have tattoos from both Millie and Fox, and I am IN LOVE with their work. It is so comforting to be able to walk into the shop with an idea and know that they will take the time to understand what I am are looking for and work with me to figure everything out from design to placement. In other shops, I have felt rushed, which is definitely not how you want to feel when you are getting a tattoo. But with the artists at Undrgrnd, you can be certain that they will listen to and work with you as you need. What makes Undrgrnd truly unique, though, is the talent of the artists there. When I walk into Undrgrnd, I know that I am working with some of the most talented, creative, and professional people in the business. This makes the experience so much fun, because I can come in with an idea and let their skills, creativity, and intuition take that idea and turn it into something more beautiful than I ever imagined. I could go on and on, but the last thing I want to mention is the warmth and community of Undrgrnd. All of the artists make you feel so welcome to be there, which creates an atmosphere where everyone almost feels like family. If you are going to come to Undrgrnd, DO NOT work with Gabriel. I reached out to him early January 2020, paid my deposit, and had a tattoo appointment scheduled for March 2020. However, due to the pandemic and government-issued closures, and we were forced to cancel (understandably). The issues started when Gabriel stopped replying back to me when I would reach out to reschedule my appointment for later in the year. Flashforward to January 2021, I've sent over five emails, DM'd him on his Instagram (which he is actively posting on), and even called Undergrnd, tying to get a response. Radio silence. At this point, I'm considering my deposit a sunk cost. I've worked with other tattoo artists and have never experienced this type of unprofessional behavior before. Please do yourself a favor and avoid working with Gabriel if you do not want to get screwed over in the long run. read more

Had a wonderful experience getting my first ever tattoo done here. Fox (@fox.claw on Instagram) was who I worked with. I had seen a tattoo on his Instagram that I liked, and messaged him if he would be open to doing something kind of similar to that one. He was and we ended up setting an appointment for a few weeks after. I sent some reference pics in the meantime. The day of, all went smoothly, the drawing looked great, and he gladly made adjustments to the size and placement since I wanted to make sure it was perfect! The pain wasn't too bad and the tattooing itself was pretty quick. The price was the same as he estimated when we messaged beforehand, which was very reasonable. Healing went smoothly and without issue, very happy with it and look forward to getting more in the future. :) read more

I was blessed enough to get my first tattoo with Millie (MKLX) this week! This was my first piece and I did my careful research on which artist I wanted to help me materialize my idea. Millie has a longer waiting list, but there's a reason as to why that is! I cannot describe in words how detailed her craft is, so please go check out her portfolio! She's also incredibly humble & sweet and welcomed me as a client to input my ideas & thoughts. I guess you can tell she's one of the most respected artists in the craft when other tattoo artists come lining up for her work! I've always thought the stereotypical tattoo parlor as such an intimidating scene, but this place has such a warm & welcoming vibe. Just over a year ago, I was lucky enough to find Millie's black and grey realism on instagram and set up my initial consultation for a chest piece and full sleeve. I brought in eight seemingly random representation pieces to the initial consultation and we put a plan together for the next year. During the first appointment we created the layout - Millie used her graphic design experience to merge the pieces into one incredible design. Over this last year we have sat together for over 50 hours and the piece has evolved as a living work of art.
