Sadly, this location does not prioritize the needs of their guests. This is not what I expect from…read morethe YMCA, nor my understanding of the organization. Shannon at the front desk was unprofessional, Bailey refused to cancel my membership, and now I must comment on the lackluster performance of their staff as a whole. I have higher expectations from the YMCA, but now I know they will never meet the needs of my family. I am being told to reach out to the Chief Operations Officer in order to cancel my membership--to cancel a membership! Otherwise I am on the hook for over $500 of services I will never use. I'm used to compromises, guests being accommodated, and moving forward in positive directions. Clearly, my standards are too high and this YMCA will never reach them. Stay away and go somewhere else!

These guys are kind of an afterthought. You can tell Mansfield planned it more as a community…read morecenter. No pool. No locker rooms. The changing room is a small room with 9 lockers; one tall one and eight of the little stacked minis. This changing room is separated from the actual restrooms and is intended for one guest (or maybe a small family) to change at a time. There are no showers! It has a spacious aerobics studio, and a cycling room. The main gym is two decent sized rooms conjoined with eight Nautilus machines for full body, and one military press rack. There's four benches with different contours depending on what press you're doing. But they're not bench press racks. On the periphery is running, tread, and stair machines. The free weights (dumbbells, kettlebells) range from 5 to 40 lbs. They do have lots of plate weights from the other Y's, but like I said there's no squat or bench racks. There's a mysterious inclined shoulder shrug rack close to one of the doors, but I've never used one like it. It might be an aftermarket squat rack, idk. The main attraction here is a quaint koi pond out front. But if you came to the gym to train, visiting a pond is probably not a selling point. And the facilities are fairly meager. Maybe they're expanding in the future (that's happened to a lot of YMCAs I've belonged to), but right now this place is barebones. Come here if you have a class here or cannot make it down to the Cooper Street location.

Update: I previously rated 360 Cycle as 4 stars a couple of months ago, but something has occurred…read morethat has caused me to downgrade my rating. In January 2019, I purchased 4 rides and only utilized 1 of them. I logged into my account earlier today and noticed that the system now showed that I didn't have any ride credits left even though I had only utilized 1 out of 4 purchased rides. I assumed that this was just a mistake; therefore, I reached out to the business in order to have my account corrected. However, I was told that the rides that I had previously purchased expired after 30 days. I was not aware of this practice and nor did I see this written anywhere during the purchasing process. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. I will not return to this establishment again and I will make sure that I let everyone know about my experience on Yelp and Google! My friend & I recently started attending the 360 cycle class on Saturday mornings with Sandy. You get a great 45 minute indoor cycling experience with high energy music and lots of sweat! Prior to the workout, the staff provides you with a seat cushion and a heart rate monitor to track your progress throughout the ride. Post workout, they provide you with an aromatherapy scented cold towel to help you cool down quicker. You might be wondering why I gave this company 4 **** out of 5 if I had such a phenomenal experience, it is because of the cost of the classes. It costs $15 per ride which is why I only go 1x per week. Or you can pay $8+ per month for unlimited access which is more than what I pay for a gym membership. Other than that complaint, I would highly recommend 360 Cycle!

CycleBar waterside is amazing! Here's everything I know from the past month training with them:…read more FOR BEGINNERS: I've been doing spin for about six years. If I could tell beginners one thing it is that you cannot have an ego going in. The instructors will give you a quick run down on how they teach, and always encourage you to modify where you need to. I am a bigger human who is out of shape at the moment, and I've not once felt out of place in this class. I'm pretty sensitive to instructors who talk about calories, "earning food", etc. and not a single instructor at waterside has given me those vibes. INSTRUCTORS: I haven't yet taken all of the instructors, but here's what I know so far! Keenan - I don't want to tell you how good Keenan's Tuesday connect class is because I don't want to have trouble booking in, but this class is high energy, fast paced, and incredibly fun. His class is good for people who want a challenge and lots of choreography. If you get bored easily, Keenan's class does not stop. ANY class can be taken by a beginner, but if you're new to spin I wouldn't start here. Bre - Bre's classes make me feel more connected to myself than any other class. If you love motivation and connection, Bre is your girl. I leave every class feeling happier. Her class is good for all experience levels and I think specifically great for trying to level up. There are so many moments where I've pushed myself to the next level with Bre. She knows how to get you there. Joni - Joni's classes are hard and fun. If you want to work on your technique and choreography I'd say Joni's class is for you. I'd say her classes vary in difficulty level, but it's never the same thing twice. I would say Joni's class is great for beginners because she is super helpful. She is uplifting and always has a smile on her face. Alana - Alana's classes are great if you love to be out of the saddle and not do as much choreo. I've only had the opportunity to take one class with Alana, but it was a great time. I think Alana's class would be best for beginners. I've taken team teach rides with Tyler and Alex, which just means I know much less about their teaching styles but here is what I learned: Tyler - Tyler gives you the opportunity to push yourself to the next level. She is super encouraging Alex - Alex is tough love and not in the way that makes you cringe. He wants you to push to your next level and is super encouraging as he gets you there.

Keenan is the BEST! He's energy and motivation is contagious…read more There are several instructors and all have their own way of teaching/techniques. Most classes are super easy and beginner level in terms of cycling so it's a great place to start if you never taken indoor cycling before. Keenan's class is a bit more for challenging and for experienced riders and his choreo is great. Always a good workout. So there's something for everyone here.

Danielle who is the instructor is amazing. She is positive and always provides modifications for those new to cycling. If you need to break there is no judgement from her or heck anyone in the class. Here are a few things to keep in mind for those newbies. They offer some prepackaged juices but no bottle water. There is a water fountain in the hallway that dispenses a teaspoon a water at a time. So please bring a bottle of water with you to class. You will also need a towel as this gym does not offer a towel service. There is a bathroom across from the cycling room. There are only two stalls so you might want to come to class dressed. Also, there are no showers or changing areas so make sure you come early if you need to change your clothes. The lockers are located in the hallway so bring a lock. If the larger lockers are not available then you will have to stuff your belongings in a mini. There is a clothes rack to hang your coat b/c it will not fit in the mini. One great thing about this gym is that you DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE OR RENT CYCLING SHOES! Their bikes allow for you to wear both shoes. If you are a little late especially to the beginner class they allow for a 5-10ish minute grace period. They keep an eye out to check you in as you walk in to the class. If you are a spinner/cycler you might want to call ahead to figure out if your shoes will work.

The husband teaches cycle classes aka "cycle therapy" and the wife teaches all other fitness classes, cardio, weightlifting and abs, aka "getaniyalated." I joined cycle therapy when it was a stand alone business and kept coming back because I loved the music and energy of the class, lots of hip hop and house music! Makes class super fun! But when they became The Well I fell in love with his wife's high intensity classes as well. Also great music and energy. They were super intense for me in the beginning, and still are, but now I can at least make it through one of her complete workouts with walking out of class, #progress! Lol Tip if you're new to working out or haven't worked out in awhile: sign up for a beginners spin class with one of the other instructors before taking Aaron's class. If you're in shape go for it! But if you're just starting out work your way up. Love this place and how supportive all the members are of one another. I bring all of my friends here and they always have the best time!

It often takes a long time for machine repairs, but they have so many machines that you can always find something else to work with, without compromising your workout regimen. This gym has RACQUETBALL courts, lap pool, basketball gym, group-ex room, & group cycling room! These type of variety is not offered at any smaller gyms. They do not open 24 hours since pandemic, but opening at 5am is early enough in my opinion. Check out the group exercise schedule, you'll see the variety of classes. They have many cardio machines - treadmills, elliptical, stationary bikes, & 2 rowing machines - plenty to choose from. There are TVs in front of the cardio machines, so u can watch your favorite show, sport event, or news while you work out. This is an aging gym, but it has so many amenities & offers good variety of group classes (all included in your membership fee). The lack of shiny machines, counters, & walls do not bother me, as it does NOT affect the quality of your workout. If you're serious about working out, the new year special of $215/year is totally worth it! Sadly, they do not market their specials much (most of the time you would have to walk into the facility to find what specials they have) & the complicated membership structures for family friends/family are counterproductive for recruitment of new members.
