One is that it's reasonably priced. Multiple bad: 1- the owners continuing to yell at each other the entire time you're doing your laundry making everybody extremely uncomfortable. 2- I counted 13 of the machines out of order. 3- The establishment is falling apart and the ceiling is exposed and busted. The tiles on the ground are taken apart and everything is extremely dirty for a laundromat. 4- The restrooms are extremely dirty with the toilets not flushing and the sinks not working. 5- A continuous encounter with the homeless population making everyone uncomfortable. read more

My laundry at home has been out of order while the room is renovated for the last month so I've been making weekly visits to Cycles. The location is super convenient for me to stop in. The staff is always incredibly helpful and nice. Some of the machines are always out but which ones are change with each visit. This tells me they are quick to get them fixed, but get used a lot! I stopped in late in the evening one night, a little to close to closing but the sweetheart working let me do a quick load of my daughters clothes so she would have clean school clothes that week. He showed me which machine would be fastest and was incredibly accommodating. The space is always clean even though people churn in and out all day long. Extra points for location since there is 7/11 across the street and a brewery in the same plaza. :) read more

Clean, plentiful, and just what I needed. I had never dared wash my down comforter before, but it was time. And I'm so glad I went to Cycles to do it. I saw the owner going around straightening up, then went to tend to loads of laundry others had dropped off (they do dry cleaning & regular laundry drop offs for those that aren't fans of doing their own laundry) The change machine accepts bills $1-20... just don't walk away too soon if you put in a twenty... the quarters come out in two installments (thank you to the honest gent who pointed this out to me... some days, I swear I'm blonde). Wash cycle only took about half an hour & it was about $3.75 to use the massive front loader. To dry on low in the large dryer, well, that took a while. Congrats to the commenter who can dry on high for about a buck. Mine took a couple hours, but I was expecting that. Dryers start with only one quarter, each coin adding about 8 min to the cycle. Convenient off street parking, friendly, and plenty of machines. I think I'll be bringing my Ikea couch cover here soon... read more

This place is my go-to laundromat as the clothing always washes and dries satisfactorily...removing one star because they now owe me $1.49 - twice previously I've burned a quarter learning that a dryer was out of order, no biggie...then today I get three quarters and one penny in exchange for my dollar when using the change machine, bringing the total to 74 cents...and just now the working dryer started deciding to only add time for every 2nd quarter, so three of my quarters counted for nothing...will see if it actually dries longer than the 35 minutes I got credited for on the dryer timer, and will update my review later. Very rude staff (and inadequate seating). I walked in to make sure the coin machine was working. I've been to laundromats where the coin machine is out of order. Without saying hello or how are you he bursted out of the office and just barked at me "you have to be doing laundry to get change". Just rude for absolutely NO reason. It is not hard to be kind and friendly, especially when I hadn't said a single word to him and was clearly just checking the place out to make sure it fit my needs. I told him not to be rude to me and respect me and he tried to kick me out. I don't get it. My first and last time using this laundromat. Cycles is always an adventure. First, enjoy the total lack of air conditioning! Next, every visit you have a 33% chance of being assaulted by a deranged street person (usually on the sidewalk or in the parking lot, very few assaults actually occur inside). Third, the change machines reject half the bills you try to feed them. But best of all, HALF THEIR MACHINES ARE OUT OF ORDER!!! And the ones that aren't have a 50/50 chance of breaking while you're using them!!! Today one of their triple loaders had no water! Clothes went through an entire cycle, kept spinning, wouldn't stop spinning, machine needed to be shut off at the breaker box and clothes were completely dry. I needed to redo my wash in a washer that worked. Then, onto the driers. Had the socks and towels on HIGH for 40 minutes... when they were done they were soaking wet and ice cold. By this point I was already running late for work so they are drying in the back window of my car right now. And before you leave be sure to enjoy their wonderful soda machine! It takes yer dollar and thr first three buttons you hit tell you "Make another selection." Finally I got a Mountain Dew, which was piss warm and sprayed all over. Looks like we need to find another laundromat. read more

Worst laundromat I've ever been to. 80% of the machines are always out of order. The ones that work don't register the coins going in half the time so you end up paying double. Today I put 3.75 in a machine (4.50 actually because it didn't register some of the quarters) and when I turned around to get my detergent it had reset and asked for another 3.75. The man working said he had never heard of that happening before and wouldn't give me the money back frustrating experience every time. Don't recommend. read more

For what it's worth - it really is loads of fun here. Well, as much fun as one could possible have at a laundromat. Still awaiting the arrival of our new washer and dryer it came down to desperate needs that called for desperate measures. The dirty clothes mound that amassed over the past few days in the spot that will soon be where our washer and dryer had grown to a point I don't want to admit. Plus, I needed clean underwear, sheets, towels, socks...well, everything. Cue, the closest laundromat. I think the first feature is the free wifi offered. Just like any coffee shop, I was able to get a considerable amount of work done on their very speedy internet connection. Secondly, there are a plethora of washers, front load and old-school style alike. Granted, I went during the early afternoon, which is probably not a peak time of the day for a laundromat, but everyone had space and their own washer and dryer. There's even a convenient store attached that sells all your laundry needs in addition to refreshments, as well. But the best part? They have arcade games. And not just any arcade game. They have pac man. I find myself not longing for our own washer and dryer, but instead - longing to pop into Cycles, play some Pac Man, watch some Judge Judy, and get some work done. read more

I go to Cycles because they are close to where I live and I've been going to them for years, especially since Smiley's shut down. The problem with Cycles is twofold. The cleanliness of their machines/business, and their ownership. I was fine going there until lately the owner has been trying to guilt trip me for arriving close to 9 o'clock which is the time the last load can be put in. It's stated on the front door, and they officially close at 10:30. Tonight the owner thought it was a good idea to give me a hard time about showing up when I did, and proceeded to argue with me in front of another customer telling me I need to find another place and he'll refuse me next time. I suggested he change the times from the sign on the door if he wants to leave earlier and he told me no. The guy is a jackass. I'm totally fine with obeying rules of a business, but no one is going to make me feel guilty when I follow those rules and that still isn't good enough. Change your sign! Problem solved. Also, the only reason the owner has been closing the laundromat himself lately is because he treated his closing employees like crap, cash under the table, and below minimum wage. The facility is large, but that and the convenient location alone aren't enough to make me return here. The washers are old, and don't have timers. The driers charge a quarter for just 9 minutes. My usual laundromat charges a quarter for 15 minutes... These driers don't dry any faster. The restroom was out of toilet paper, and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. But, worst of all, I had to listen to the owners' three kids screaming incessantly for hours as I waited eagerly to leave the place. Cycles Laundry is great!! The staff is super friendly and always willing to give a helping hand. They are always cleaning so it looks nice and if you don't like what is on tv, you can change it. They have free wifi and a little convent store inside so you done have to leave. There are restaurants nearby as well is you need a bite to eat. I once left a load of laundry there and didn't realize it for a week, we do a lot of laundry at a time. I stopped by a week after I did hat and they had bagged my clothing and it was waiting for me. When we first moved to Denver, Englewood actually the laundromat we had to use was staffed at first by a friendly guy but he was replaced by an evil crone that made every trip to wash clothes more of a chore than it already was! Then...... after moving to the Baker neighborhood we found Cycles Laundry, where the owner was friendly, the machines worked perfectly, and the had both FREE Wifi and Detergent! Cycles is decent. Upsides: never have to wait for washers or dryers, free WiFi, clean bathrooms, baere brewery 2 doors down, Dunkin Donuts & 7-11 right there as well. Downsides: older machines, detergent compartments not cleaned enough, shorter dry cycles than most (9 v 15 min), uncomfortable seating. Buuuuuut you can get donuts & beer while you wait for your clothes, that makes up for the downsides. read more

Headed over to cycles because I needed to wash down sleeping bags in a large commercial washer/drier. Many machines were available to use upon my arrival. I used the 2 large machines up front which were costly but efficient and washed the bags in 22 minutes. Machines were clean and in good condition. While drying my bags and performing the tedious task of breaking apart clumps of down, the lovely woman working noticed my struggles and brought over 4 brand new tennis balls for me to put in the drier with my sleeping bag! She also gave some kind suggestions for drying the bags. I felt as though she went out of her way to provide assistance and she even continued to check on me/ my bags while I was there! 5 stars for great customer service. read more

Large, full of open washers and dryers, near my house, and free wifi and detergent (I bring my own, but still - it's nice!). It's not the newest or shiniest facility, but the prices are decent and with all the open washers and dryers, you spend as little time as possible waiting for your stuff to wash or dry, which is the most important thing. The only reason I took a star off is because there's just one lonely table and no outlets so you can comfortably take advantage of said free wifi and make sure your device doesn't runs out of power. Awesome awesome awesome place to do your laundry. Nothing special just an ordinary coin laundry mat. But the owner was so kind. Usually the owners of laundry mats I have encountered are rude and very unpleasant this man was very helpful! He also has a store in the side of the laundry mat where he sells big bottles of soap and other things you might need if your traveling like I was. I've been going here for years, but only taken advantage of the laundry drop off service for the last few months. The first 2 times I had no problems. The last 3 I had issues, one of my blankets was obviously left in the dryer to long and was returned to me with brown burn marks another time one of my bras went missing and a third time the dyed a white shirt pink. So before I dropped off my laundry today I mentioned to the owners wife that I had some problems in the past if she could just be sure to be a little more careful with my laundry this time. She immediately says oh no we couldn't have burned the blanket that's not possible. I'm looking to argue about the other things that happened, nor am I looking for compensation just a simple yes we will take more care this time is all I was looking for. Instead she rambles on and on about how she doesn't accept responsibility and that she could ruin my entire laundry bag and she isn't responsible for anything, again I'm not looking to be compensated. She then gives me my laundry back and says I don't want this. You don't want my business? I didn't do anything but make a suggestion and your lack of common decency made you loose a customer. I was camping out for a variey of reasons and all my stuff got rained on. So i rushed to the nearest laundromat and arrived a little before 9:00. I checked the closing time and it said 10:30 but last wash load at 9:00. I decided i had time to run to Walgreens a few blocks away to get some dryer sheets to make my camping bedding smell better. I got everything in plenty of time but realized as soon as i got back to the laundry that i had left my stuff at Walgeens by a mistake so i went back to get it right away- still 9:30 plenty of time to get back and dry my stuff RIGHT??? Actually no when i returned it was a little before 10:00 and the place was closedup and not a person in sight. So now i had nothing to sleep on or put over me ZERO. ( i was able to find a homeless horder, those people with overflowing shopping carts and buy a sleeping bag no i dont want to think or talk about what o may have slept with....) I left a very Stern note on the laundermats for whoever with my contact info and my opinion on closing up early. NOTHING no call nothing. I finally went back in after virtually no sleep around noon. No apology only a LAME EXPLANATION ' we close as soon as the last customer leaves after 9:00. I suggested writting that info next to their 10:30 suppossedly open till time. I got a blank stare and a 10th repeat of how they decide when to close at night. I never did get to do my laundry there and never will. LATE NIGHT /NIGHT OWL LAUNDERERS BEWARE. OH WAIT I forgot the best part I was told i was lucky they didn't throw away my stuff. Am i the luckiest launderer or what? Horrible facility, horrible location, horrible service. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I had this laundromat do my normal laundry (sheets, towels, less than nice clothes) when I moved to the Baker neighborhood. They ruined two sets of sheets by somehow ripping them down the middle. And they of course denied any responsibility. They are cheap, and provide a level of service commensurate with cost. The facility is generally dirty, smells of mold, there are always questionable people hanging around outside and it didn't feel safe. read more

I just moved out of a house where i had access to a really nice lg washer and dryer. Stayed with friends for two weeks (cheap apartment washers) and then moved to baker. Went to cycles for the first time today, and my clothes haven't felt this clean in a LONG time. Even when i had the newer in-house washer/dryer. Must be the machines because I'm using the same detergent as always. WiFi is fast, I was able to get a lot of work done, plus they have arcade games inside, and who doesn't love that? The washers i used were very fast and thorough without being too rough on my stuff, but it took quite a while to get my clothes dry. My pants were still not 100% after 3 cycles, but oh well. A little more expensive than the next nearest laundromat, but the machines are better and its much cleaner inside. read more
