I do not understand the negative reviews! When I didn't have laundry in my first apartment, positive spin was the only place I went. All the staff is so kind and they take pride in their work. I used to use the laundry machine, but eventually began dropping my clothes off. I never lost an article of clothing or had it swapped with another customers. Everything was folded nicely and placed neatly in weatherproof bags. My laundry machine is having issues and I'm driving 20 minutes out of my way because positive spin is the only place I trust!! read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I have been a customer since October, everything has been going fine since the last month. Over half the machines, washers and dryers are broken, with no intent to repair or fix any of these machines. Any of the washing machines that do work smell like mold. Any of the dryers that are labeled as "working" do not heat up. You waste 6 min to find this out. Epitome of slum lord type laundromat, hopefully the owners do not own real estate. do yourself a favor and spend the extra time going to the laundromat 2-5 miles away. read more

Upon searching for a tailor in the area, this place popped up. I went in to discuss having a dress hemmed. However, there was no discussion, because no one in the shop spoke a lick of English. If you're dropping off dry cleaning, I guess the language barrier is manageable. But if you're considering using them for anything more involved, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Used Positive Spin's wash-by-the-pound service to launder some Yelp event linens and it was easy peasy. Nice tablecloths cost an arm and a leg to clean at the dry cleaners, but hardly anything at a laundromat like this. Drop your linens off and they'll wash, dry, and fold them for you by the end of the day for $1 per pound (minimum of ten pounds). What would normally cost me $100+ was only $10--such a steal! Positive Spin shares a parking lot with a popular taco joint and parking can be limited. I parked in the neighborhood and luckily didn't have too much to lug, but something to keep in mind if you've got a massive pile of laundry to take care of. They have TVs and games for if you're sticking around to do your own laundry. I picked up our linens a few days after dropping them off and the gal who was working seemed a little confused about the pick up process. Make sure to bring your wallet in with you when you drop off, as they take payment then. read more

This is a review of fluff and fold only. If you don't have lots of laundry to do it is amazing. It's basically the same price as doing it yourself. They do an awesome job and it's usually done within 5 hours. We drop off twice a week and they have never lost or ruined any item. read more

This place is so clean and there are a ton of machines available. The attendant was so helpful and gave me some laundry detergent when I forgot my own. I only had to come here to wash a comforter that wouldn't fit in my machine at home so I won't be here often, but if I didn't have anything at home you can bet this is where I'd be! read more

We're between places so going to the laundromat near us made the most sense. Bleh. I'm not ungrateful for having laundry I every place I love but having to come here makes me extremely grateful. Laundry detergent vending machine doesn't work. ATM doesn't work. No paper towels or soap in the restroom. There were large wasps flying around. I had to ask the gal at the front desk for things like six times and she was out front smoking with other customers. I'd look for another place if I were you. It has been a reliable place to do our laundry. Just FYI, there is no heat, a. c. Or wifi. There is no seating and your not supposed to linger indoors with the covid restrictions. There is a bathroom for customers only, you can drop off your clothes for them to do in the same day for a very reasonable price. I've done this and my clothes have never been cleaner! They do have a machine with detergent, softener and dryer sheets. They do have a change machine inside and someone is always there to help if you have any issues. Only had a problem once at this business, it was worth a 2 dollar washing machine not working. I told the lady but was never reimbursed for the 2 loads I did in that machine. I was trying to get my clothes clean, that's why I did a repeat load before just taking them home wet and dirty. I don't use that machine now if I go. I'm sure it's fixed though. read more

If you want your items clean, I would avoid Positive Spin like the plague. I have been a few times, always hit or miss. This time was the last time. I threw a few things into one of those triple loaders that cost almost $7 (!!!) and I came back and saw the detergent leaked all over the floor and my items were filthy. I asked politely for a refund, or to just be able to re-run the cycle, and was told she'd have to call her boss. I was flatly denied a refund for a non-working machine and I will not be back. Nor will I allow friends to patronize that place. Bad, bad way to do business.... that is, if you actually want to stay in business. read more

The lady that manages it with the mullet is very rude. The place is disgusting. Dirt all over the floors, tons of dusty fake flowers everywhere. Tiki posters in winter???? None of it makes sense and makes it feel gross. The tables where you can fold your clothes was dirty. I asked the the lady working if I could get something to clean it (which good customer service would be to offer to clean it herself) she told me to go get a paper towel from the bathroom. Gum stuck in 2 out of the 3 dryers I tried. Also, there were two very dirty people washing their very dirty clothes and blankets. Which I get makes me sound like a jerk but if that's not who you want to share washers with try somewhere else. I know I will. read more

I spend a lot of time in laundromats. I make clothing out of upcycled materials and prewash everything before reassembling. Needless to say, I have been to tons of laundromats and this is by far my favorite. The owner is super nice as is the sweet lady who is usually working. It is clean, most of the machines work, and it has a nice atmosphere. They have free wifi, nice flat screen TV's, vending machines and some games for kiddos. Due to our dryer dying on us, we had to take all of our laundry here. We were pressed for time, so we opted for their service where they wash and dry it for you, for later pickup. Bottom line, they did an awesome job! We had a ton of laundry because we'd been traveling for Xmas. Best laundry mat I've ever been to. Very clean, strong wifi signal, and the machines either accept quarters or debit cards. They have a change machine on one wall and they also sell single serve packets of detergent in a machine and have a little site with full sized versions of everything. Cheap washers, but kind of expensive dryers. I think it was only $2 per wash in the medium sized machines but $.25 for only 8 minutes in the dryer. read more

Clean laundromat and most of the machines have a credit card reader. I opted for their full service. $1 per pound and I they wash and fold it for you. Staff was super friendly and the service was great. Picked my clothes up, nice shirts were on hangers, the rest was folded and in bags done on time as promised. The only reason I didn't give 5 full stars is because parking can be a nightmare if you stop by in the evening. I had to carry 40lbs of clothes 3 blocks. The owners are always using up the machines for their personal use. Only one cc machine works out of all the washing machines, most of the dryers don't even heat, and their change dispenser is always out of order. This place is poorly run. Such a shame. read more

DO NOT GIVE POSITIVE SPIN YOUR BUSINESS!!! I put my laundry in to dry at 745 and got it out at 840pm. They close at 9 and I am fully aware of this. As I'm plugging in my headphones the older African American woman(there is a hispanic woman who works there as well. Never had an issue with her} who works there(who isn't the owner), interrupted me to tell me I had to focus so I could be out by 9. She was rude, condescending, said she watched my laundry sit for over 45 min in the dryer, and said I needed to hurry up and get out. When I told her she was being rude she proceeded to call the police to get me escorted out and then told the officers "when I call for an escort off the premise, I want them out immediately." I have never been treated with such disrespect from a business and I will be sure that I use social media as well as all business avenues to let the owners as well as the community know to not frequent anywhere that treats their customers like this. I have used this laundromat over the years and the first owners took great pride in keeping the area clean, machines working well and providing friendly service. In recent years it has changed hands a couple of times. I was very disappointed with what I found. Almost all the large capacity washers were broken. The ATM was out of service and the floors and lavatory were filthy. From now on I'll take my big items over to Carosel Cleaners where I have always had great service. read more

So I live in the neighborhood not far from this laundromat and have had no problems until today. I went in like any other week and happened to use a different change machine (Blue machine) and had put in 7 dollars and the machine gave me 6 dollars in quarters and 4 dimes. I told the lady at the desk and she noticed it not only happened to me but the people right after me. She called her manager (Tabitha) and explained that she had given me a refund of 4 quarters in exchange for the dimes. Her manager told her to void out the transaction and have me give them back the quarters? The manager herself has the capability to come down to the laundromat that she claims to manage and see for herself that machine is faulty. However they would rather just proceed to let their customers blindly put money into a machine that is stealing money. The front desk lady is new and she should not be sheltered with the blame for any of this and unfortunately I know that is exactly what Tabitha is probably going to do. I will be writing another complaint if I don't see this lady around as I will assume she faced some sort of reprimand for trying to service her customers. read more

It's amazing how quickly a business can go downhill. I've been going to Positive Spin for 5+ years and as far as laundry mats go, I've had nothing but great experiences. They were recently bought out though and the new management has managed ruin a good thing. The machines are constantly out of order as is the ATM machine. The ATM being down wouldn't be a huge deal if they hadn't removed the card capability from all their machines. In addition the cleanliness is lacking. The machines are filthy and always have a soap buildup in the detergent reservoirs- something that was a non-issue prior to the buyout. Hopefully it's just growing pains of the new owners, but if not I'm going to have to find a new spot to do laundry which is unfortunate. read more

I just moved to the neighborhood and wasn't sure if I'd be able to find a laundromat that met my needs: close, clean, and reasonably priced. Well, all my fears were put to rest when I found Positive Spin. First of all, it's always a good sign when there's a humorous name--it means they're at least trying to be a cut above! I went on a Friday afternoon and there were plenty of open machines. There were some old-timey neighborhood residents as well as some young professionals there at that time. The normal top-loaders were $1.50 each and the nice, new dryers (recommended by a fellow customer) were $0.50 to start and $0.25 for each add'l 8 mins. The dryer seemed to work well. Overall, the place was clean and the wifi worked. There was nothing exceptional about the place, so it gets 4 stars, but I will definitely frequent it. read more

I'm in from out of town, and got on Yelp to find a decent laundromat. The reviews for this place were positive so I went out of my way about 5 miles to get here. Worth it! Everyone knows Mark who's working here, and the place is clean, has wi-fi, and the machines seem to be in good condition. I really wanted to like this place. Great reviews, nice vibe...but the equipment keeps breaking down. In 6 months, I've pulled soggy clothes out of a dryer that, after an hour, failed to dry, and dry clothes multiple times out of washers that wouldn't wash. "Out of order" signs proliferate. The credit card option is wonderful but the system is glitchy and either doesn't work or needs a reset. Sigh. read more

I have been going to this laundromat for many years. It is always clean the staff is friendly and because I am disabled I use the drop off service. They always have my clothes ready when they say it will be ready it's always folded or hung the price is reasonable. Unlike some other laundromats the owner is there often and takes great interest in his business and his employees he always treats them fair, they have been there for many many years. If I have to stay to wash clothes I never have to worry about the washers or driers having leftover residue in them to ruin my laundry its always kept clean and they provide free WiFi there's nearby shops to eat or drink I just think that this is the best laundromat in town read more

Laundry is totally not a chore. This place is cheap, super comfy, they have free wifi, clean restrooms, really nice employees and a soda machine with cherry coke :)! If you live around the highlands area and find yourself fortunate enough to be without a washer/dryer, you should def go. read more

We've used the Park Hill location on two occasions. Both times, it was very nice. This last visit, a very odd person removed our laundry before it was finished in the dryer. The attendant immediately took care of the problem (actually before we could even do say anything.) She was super nice and very helpful. Had the flu for three weeks, so the laundry piled up. I started doing laundry and my dryer goes out! No longer able handle the growing mountain of clothes while waiting for my dryer to get fixed, I loaded up the car and headed to Positive Spin Laundry after work. I'm not sure what's reasonable to pay, but the expense seemed more than reasonable to me to simply not have a laundry marathon when my dryer gets hooked back up. We used the triple-load washers that were $3.50 each. We used two different dryers - the jumbo-sized Speed Queen (75 cents for 12 minutes,) and a smaller Electrolux (50 cents for 16 minutes.) The Electrolux dried the clothes much more efficiently. There were plenty of machines, and a good variety of capacities available. The owner was there - a very genuine person, as he thanked me for coming in a couple of times. They have free wi-fi, a couple of televisions, and my favorite attraction - a Ms. Pac Man video game that still only costs a quarter to play. I will definitely visit Positive Spin Again if I need to get a bunch of laundry done all at once. read more
