CycleLife - Cycling Classes Near Me - Sacramento, California

Love the place. So many spin locations have sessions that are kind of random and variable. The directions for the bike resistance, for instance are imprecise. Sometimes, I don't mind a loosey-goosey spin class. But most of the time it is annoying because you don't always get the workout you would like. Cyclelife directions are very precise -- this many turns on the dial, everyone pedaling in sync, interval is length of the song. Hence, you know what you are going to get and you get pushed by the session. read more

Cyclelife is truly my third place! I've joined the cult, drunk the water, twirled the towel, and I'm officially obsessed. I first discovered Cyclelife through ClassPass and became a member about six months in. Now, two years later, I'm still in love with everything about this studio. The instructors are THE BEST, each one brings their own style, music taste, and motivational energy to every class. The combo of a dark room, amazing playlists, and a strong sense of community makes Cyclelife stand out as the best spin studio I've ever been to (and I've been to plenty!). read more

CycleLife - Group of friends in front of the CycleLife front desk - Cycling Classes Near Me - Sacramento, California

I've been coming to CycleLife for over a year, and it has completely transformed my fitness journey. Since joining, I've become not only more confident but also fitter. The 45-minute classes are led by energetic and supportive instructors, and they keep things interesting with fun themes and a great mix of class types. Beyond cycling, they offer full-body strength, power sculpt, and core classes, which really round out the workout options. CycleLife offers different membership options, from class packs to unlimited memberships, and they even provide discounts for students. Their first month of unlimited classes is a great deal at $99, though I'll admit the regular memberships are a bit pricey--but honestly, that expense motivates me to show up and make the most of it! Parking can be a little tricky, but the nearby 1-hour street parking usually works out just fine. Overall, CycleLife has become an essential part of my routine, and I couldn't recommend it more! read more

CycleLife - Entrance - Cycling Classes Near Me - Sacramento, California

I've been riding at CycleLife for about two years and nothing compares to this studio. I've tried other indoor cycle spots in the area like CycleBar, but I much prefer supporting local! They also offer other types of strength based workout classes to mix it up. All of the instructors are amazing and so are the riders. The energy here is on another level!! The community is supportive, friendly, and respectful, and I've made so many great friends here. They run specials throughout the year and the monthly membership fits my budget and schedule perfectly. If you're wondering if spin is for you, I'd recommend starting with a few classes. It's not easy, but it's so worth it. I have never stuck to any gym routine before this, and I'm pretty sure I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. Our bodies can do hard things! I highly recommend CycleLife to anyone looking for a fun, challenging, and welcoming place to ride! Come for the workout, stay for the people. It really is that special here read more

Was invited by a friend and have been hooked since! Classes are intense & upbeat. Instructors and everyone are super friendly & encouraging. You can rent cycling shoes for $3 or bring your own. They have free lockers, showers & toiletries. They have a shared small parking lot or you can do street parking in the neighborhood. Memberships can be 4x/month, 8x/month, unlimited, or you can purchase class packs. It can be a little pricey, but definitely worth it if you enjoy it & continue to go! read more

I had a great time! Took a bangerz 7am class after so long of not doing a cycle class and it was a great step back into it. It is a little far from me since I am in Natomas but I loved the energy! read more

Loved my rides here. It's a bit further out from me and parking is horrendous. So I won't become a regular. The front staff are kind and instructors are great. read more

As you can tell from my first review, definitely came back for a second time! Wanted to give a shoutout to the class instructor Kara Jones and her Evolution of Rihanna themed ride! I brought two new friends to their first cycling class and Kara kindly gave them a thorough orientation of the class, the verbal cues she gives us, and how to get situated in the bike. My friend was also very appreciative and grateful for the other rider who was seated next to her -- the regular rider gave us positive encouragement and helpful tips for my friend's first class as well -- this speaks alot about the environment here! I wouldn't be surprised if we regularly came back! read more

I love love love this studio! This is my first boutique gym membership and it's worth every penny (pro tip they do discounts for teachers and first responders!). I get my ass kicked in every class and always have a fun time. My favorite instructors are Kayla, Sandy and Kristie- but honestly all of them are wonderful! The classes are great for any level of fitness and really encourage you to go at your fitness level. If you need to sit down, skip some arm movements or even just take a break- you can! I love that every class has a different vibe and I always leave drenched in sweat. Highly encourage checking this place out and becoming a part of the cycle life community. read more

I just enjoyed my first spin class ever with Judi at CycleLife! I couldn't recommend this facility or Judi enough, I loved my first spin class. Judi had a fun and exciting energy about her, that even though it was one of the hardest fitness classes I've ever taken - when it was all said and done it was spectacular! The facility was extremely clean and neat, the women working the front were kind and helpful, and I loved the atmosphere. If I lived in the Sacramento area it would definitely be something I stopped in to take a class once or twice a week! read more

Before you raise your pitchforks at me because of my rating, hear me out first!! Lol. As I've visited several spin studios, I've become really nitpicky about them especially when it comes to first impressions. In terms of this particular spin studio, there were things that were hits and other things that were misses during my first visit. I'll start with the good. I've learned that I need to look at instructor bios on the studio's website first before choosing a spin instructor. I decided on Judi; I'm a hip hop type of gal so I thought she would be the perfect pick. Giiiiirrrrrl, she don't play, lol. Don't expect any sympathy from her as she expects that you give it your all. Can't be alarmed with her F-bombs if you take her class either. But man, her energy.....there's a reason why her class was a full-house. I left the bike room after class thinking "what the heck just happened in the past 45 minutes" and from my experience, that's a good sign of a great spin instructor/class ahahah. In terms of her music, it was pretty much all hip hop, and in terms of the sound quality in general in the studio.....girl, this shizz is bass boosted to oblivion hahaha right when I entered the studio I could hear blaring music from the bike room. Perfect segue to talk about the not-so-great things. As the music here is much louder than what I'm used to at a spin studio, at times during class I couldn't clearly hear the instructor; good thing I sat in the back row because I pretty much just followed what everyone else was doing lol. Another thing is the rental shoes; $1 to rent and they're very old and not perfectly compatible with the bikes.....I could tell because one of my shoes clipped out unexpectedly TWICE during class. Very unsafe!! I recommend bringing your own spin shoes. Lastly, the front desk staff. There was an older lady in front of me in line who also was taking her very first class here; the front desk staff was very patient with her and comprehensive in terms of telling her all of the info she needed to know. When it came to my turn, my interactions with the staff felt very rushed even though I also stated to them that it was my first time here. Do they have mind powers and already knew that I've already taken a bunch of spin classes?? Who knows, lol. Like I said, some hits and misses. I think this studio is still fairly new and this one seems promising as I'm hopeful that they'll work out some of their current kinks. I'm still down to visit here again and try out the other instructors! Parking: small lot out front but plentiful free 1-hour neighborhood parking. Childcare available! read more

Such a great atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and supportive. The website is easy to use, easy to sign up for classes. The place is clean, convenient, and provides an excellent workout! You get out of it what you put into it. Thanks CycleLife! Anthony A. read more

Love taking classes here! Judi is my favorite! She has the best energy and pushes you to kill it! I love that they play hip hop here. All the instructors are really good and welcoming. They started a bikes and kettlebells class that's really good too. My legs and booty are always burning the day after! read more

Honestly the best spin studio near and far! I travel quite a bit for work around the country and I can honestly say this is by far the best spin studio! Many studios lack the motivation and inspiration, and honestly are uncoordinated! But I can genuinely say that every instructor here knows how to read the room and their audience! If the group is doing great, we are pushed harder, and if the group is struggling just a bit, instructors will scale back. Nonetheless, I never walk out not sweating! read more

Amazing spin studio! Super welcoming, great for all levels - I started with zero experience and now go multiple times a week. The instructors have so much energy and are extremely motivating. A woman-owned company that has an awesome community. I've met so many new people and recommend you give it a try... at the very least you'll get 45 minutes of fun music and a good sweat! read more

Took a class while in town for Christmas; great energetic class with a lot of variety. Kramer was a great instructor. Definitely recommend.

I like the warm welcome by staff, the big room, lights, beats and the exhilarating feeling of a great cycle workout by an awesome instructor. My first time was with Aya who is one of THE BEST on the planet! Do it! You'll get addicted!! read more

I'm not even a resident of Sacramento, or NorCal for that matter, but I LOVED this studio. My friend frequents this place and suggested I go since I was in town and looking for a workout to kick my butt. I'm so glad I came here! I will say it's super trendy right when you walk in, which is surprising because it's not in the nicest complex. There is free parking and it is easy to find. There is a check in desk and someone to greet you when you get there. You can head to the back to put your stuff in a locker while you work out. There's also an ADORABLE photo booth section where you can take a pic with a cute background or a pic with a polaroid that they provide. It's so cute! The studio room was large and had plenty of bikes. There was cool lighting and you can see the instructor no matter where you sit. The work out itself was fantastic! I was dripping by the end of the workout. There was SO MUCH ENERGY throughout the class and the instructor made sure to keep it up for the duration of the class. It's funny. I felt like I was working out with the real housewives of Sacramento. I took a 9am class on a Monday and it was jam packed with moms and their daughters. Nonetheless, the room was FILLED with the exception of one bike, pretty impressive. I would definitely come back should I be in the area again any time in the future. There is a $10 first time rate and then you probably have to purchase a package or membership after that. TL;DR: - Recommend? YEAH! Great spin studio! - Parking? Free but limited. There might be street parking but I got there early and parked in the lot - Service? Great! read more

Becca and her staff are so welcoming. Walking into CylceLife is like an episode from Cheers. Everyone knows your name! You can tell immediately that everyone wants to be there. The instructors support each other and attend each others classes which speaks high volumes for the type of community they have created. Each class, whether large or small, is full of fun energy. Each class is a booty and calorie burning challenging ride, but the instructors are so good about encouraging you to keep pushing yourself and before you know it, the class is over and you feel accomplished. read more

I LOVED Rebecca's class! I recently moved back to Sacramento from the Bay and yes, I took my fair share of Soul Cycle classes. I don't typically like to compare studios, but I'm definitely a fan of "rhythm rides" and this studio did not disappoint. I tried the "Hip Hop After Hours" class and there were a few times I wanted to jump off my bike and dance... that's a good sign! Rebecca was energetic, but not to where she was annoying. :) She kept the whole class engaged by briefly walking around from time-to-time to spray eucalyptus mist and switch the lights. She also throws in a couple dance moves as she's walking, which I thought made the class even more fun! Next week, I'm planning to sign up for a full, new student week and try different instructors. As of now, this was definitely the best cycle class I've taken in Sac! read more

I have several friends who have tried CL and loved it. I figure I'd give it a 'spin' too. Haha. I took care of their first spin for free. My friend and I booked together. It was suggested to get there 15 minutes to get checked in and in your bike as there is not late entry after the class begins. When we arrived we were greeted by Kramer who happened to be the instructor for our class. She set me up with shoes and made sure I had ear plugs. There was a nice area with lockers to place your personal belongings. The lockers were clean and a nice amenity. Kramer met us in the class to make sure the bike was adjusted properly or our height. Lights went out. Some black lights were on and music very loud - no wonder why we needed ear plugs! Kramer was motivating and easy to follow. The class was so much fun!! My friend and I loved it and signed up for another class the weekend after. We had Natasha who was just as amazing. The instructors were welcoming so sweet and made sure we were set up and had fun. If you've wondered about spin, give them a shot. The first class is free! read more

Love it for my first ride after a long time! I'll be back! Haven't been back since my first ride because I hurt my back in the process

While the intensity of the instructor varies the workouts themselves are well planned and well executed by all the instructors I've had thus far. Personally I think I need to go a little harder to leave more breathless than I am, which is why I love Tasha the most! However I do wish we would do sprints (heavy or medium gear) for the last song, that we don't have our zen time or weight time 1 song before the last song, and finally that morning classes were all at 515 except on Saturdays and Sundays. Other than that I absolutely recommend everyone who loves moving to a beat to come and get thier daily workout/motivation outlook on life! read more

To say I'm obsessed with Cyclelife is an understatement. From the instructors to the rides to the cleanliness of the facilities itself, I could not be happier with this studio! The instructors really put in an effort to meet their riders and build a community engrained with inclusivity and encouragement. I don't have kids but think it's awesome they offer kiddie care so the parents can get in a sweat sesh. read more

Came here soooo out of shape and heavier than I have ever been and frankly, I'm not young. They were SO motivating, & it was so fun! I was immediately addicted. Natasha was my first instructor and she made me feel like it was fine no matter how I did. But I rocked it! And she remembered my name when I came back the next week. I'm sold. And for reals, if I can do it after a sedentary year if Covid quarantine, so can you! read more

This review is waaaaayyy overdue. I started cycling at cyclelife 3 years ago and i cant explain how much i love these women! This community has helped me so much not only with my physical health (down 80lbs) but as well as my mental! The owner Becca is one bad ass woman! She has built a non judgement studio unlike some other studios here in Sacramento. Warning If you new to spin you will most likely get hooked!! read more

There are not enough words to express how much I love CycleLife! Becca and her team are so warm, welcoming, and motivating. They truly make working out fun and enjoyable...And, their music playlists are always on point!!!! I have been to a few other spin studios, but CycleLife just knows how to make you feel at home. I am currently in nursing school and my days can be long and stressful, which is why I always look forward to coming to CycleLife. After I get a ride in with these amazing people, I feel both physically and emotionally better. It truly is revitalizing. I will forever promote this place to all my family and friends because I believe in the workout, the environment, and the people. So if you want a great workout with the most amazing people I highly recommend CycleLife. Your first class is free, so you have nothing to lose. :) read more

I have been coming to CycleLife for almost a year. It occurred to me that I should post my review because I recently visited a CycleBar in Southern California while on vacation and really missed my Rocklin CL studio/people/classes. I did get an okay workout with CB but it was missing so much. There was no soul in that place. The instructors "say" inspirational type things but I was not feeling it. They also had a drill sergeant type manner and I felt like "you don't know me!" I yearned to be back Home at my studio where there are REAL connections. Also, the direct instruction was lacking. Vague instruction, no mirror image to follow, no guidance on whether to be on left or right, no welcoming new riders, no review of language/terms or body and hand positions, no preparation on what kind of ride was about to happen...so much missing. It sounds like I am reviewing CB rather than CycleLife but please just know that where CB lacks, CycleLife kills it. I feel well taken care of at CycleLife and it is so clear to me now more than ever why I keep coming back!! read more

Amazing spot! Super welcoming! Cycling is no joke but stick with it & you'll love it here.

I love this studio! I was nervous about joining after not being a part of a gym for several years and all the instructors are just so nice and encouraging. This is my favorite studio in the entire Sacramento area! Never been a fan of cycling until I started coming here. The music gets you pumped, the instructors are very friendly, engaged and know how to lead an amazing class. I could not love this studio more! I was nervous about trying cycling again after having a negative experience at another place in Sacramento! I love that the studio is small and welcoming! I also love the diversity in the studio with riders of all sizes, shapes, ages and ethnicities so everyone feels comfortable! As soon as I sat down on my bike that first class and looked around, I felt at ease! I now take classes 3-4 times a week and love it! The music is awesome and the classes have the energy of a night club which is super motivating! Becca (the owner) is THE BEST and all the instructors are kick a$$! If you have been contemplating trying cycling... come to CycleLife! Ps. they have childcare too and for all my friends with babies, has been very convenient! read more
