Custom Design Studios - Waiting to be picked up by Kirk. Wouldn't start again.

Kirk sells the dream like he sells excuses. I want to say Kirk built me a bike but really he built…read moreme a liability. Not only a liability that rarely runs and often leaves me stranded and from day one had a wobble no real builder would have allowed out the door. Both statements Kirk cant dispute because he's aware of the wobble and he's also picked me up twice on the side of the road. I spent 60k cash with Kirk on a FXR build. A build in which he chose to reuse old parts when he charged me for new and even worse had an open check book to get what was right. The bike Kirk built has essentially been torn down and built back up revealing mediocre work that most would call a hack job. Motor, trans and rear wheel way out of alignment. Brand new s&s motor leaks. Once opened up it reveals a caulking job of gasket sealer. Original motor mounts and rubber goods reused. Wheel bearing and neck bearings incorrectly installed or didn't have the knowledge of the correct size to install. The high end Italian calipers he had to have both leak, the wheels were chromed then dremelled out so the bearing would fit. Obviously this isn't the correct way to get an exact fit. This bikes never been over 70 mph safely due to the wobble and incorrect parts. The list goes on and on. I've reached out to Kirk through calls and text both not getting any ownership or support. Sadly this is one of many Kirk Taylor builds that's problematic. I understand growing pains with new builds but I don't get or accept hack work, cutting corners and reused parts from a 1990 Harley Davidson. I would have been good with accountability and ownership. This shop doesn't not possess that. Shitty to run Kirk like this but the reality is the product speaks volumes and all he had to do is communicate with me what he needed or a simple apology that he build me lawn art

I emailed Factory Pro and Marc got back to me right away. He told me to get a PCV and if I wanted it really dialed in, a fuel controller module to pair with it. I bought both and delivered my bike w/ parts to FP. About 4 days later Marc called and said, "it's ready, and it's running really well!" I rolled up there the next day and took it for a test ride, and he wasn't lying! Holy S**T! It felt like an entirely new motorcycle. The throttle delivery was smooth at all RPMs and I could tell right away that it was breathing better and had more power. It was low on fuel after the dyno runs they did, so I took it to get gas. When I merged onto the freeway I gave it the beans and took off with the front wheel waving in the wind! No clutch, and in 3rd gear, it easily wheelied under 3/4 acceleration. Needless to say, I was stoked! I got back, thanked the crew for their excellent work and loaded the bike for home. Factory Pro was quick, extremely professional, reasonably priced, and they know how to properly tune motorcycles. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed, and Jeffrey suggested checking something first before diving into a full (and more expensive) diagnostic -- genuinely looking out for my wallet. Sure enough, a few quick charging tests revealed the issue was just a setting that had been changed on the car. Once that was fixed, everything worked perfectly. I was extremely impressed by how they handled the whole thing -- putting the customer's interests first rather than upselling unnecessary service. That kind of honesty is hard to find. Thank you, and I'll definitely be back!

Very disappointed with my experience with Chevrolet Novato…read more About two weeks after purchasing my vehicle, I noticed that the air conditioning was not working properly. I contacted Chevrolet Novato, and they told me that they would take responsibility for the issue and asked me to bring the vehicle in. When I brought it in, they simply recharged the A/C and added dye to help detect the leak. They clearly told me that when I noticed that the A/C stopped cooling or started blowing very little cold air, I should bring the vehicle back so they could inspect it and locate the leak. At no point did they tell me that I had to bring the vehicle back within a specific period of time. They never told me I had 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, or any other time limit. I simply followed the instructions they gave me. When I later noticed that the A/C was no longer cooling properly, I contacted them to bring the vehicle back, exactly as they had instructed me. To my surprise, they told me that they were no longer responsible because too much time had passed. I find this very unfair because I did exactly what they told me to do. If there was a time limit for them to take responsibility, I believe they should have clearly explained that to me when I brought the vehicle in and they recharged the A/C and added the dye. I am not asking them to take responsibility indefinitely. What I am saying is that I followed the instructions given to me by the dealership, and now they are using a time limit that was never communicated to me as a reason not to address the problem. I expected much better communication, transparency, and customer service from a Chevrolet dealership.
