I rarely leave reviews, but after months of…read morefrustration, poor communication, scheduling failures, and ongoing concerns about workmanship, I feel obligated to share my experience in hopes of helping other homeowners avoid the same ordeal. I initially contacted Senate Pest Control after hearing what I believed was a squirrel in my attic. My first impression was excellent. The inspector who came to my home was phenomenal--professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and exactly the type of representative that gives customers confidence they selected the right company. Unfortunately, everything seemed to go downhill after the initial traps were installed. The very next morning, I received a call around 8:00 a.m. asking me to place a credit card on file for attic remediation services that had not yet been performed. Although I provided the information, I was uncomfortable being asked for payment arrangements before the work had even begun. During that same call, I requested that a manager contact me regarding several concerns. As of the date of this review, I am still waiting for that callback. That request was made in March. The scheduling issues that followed were relentless. During the trapping phase, I was routinely given appointment windows of 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. It was considered a good day if a technician arrived by 6:30 p.m. The repeated disregard for appointment windows demonstrated a complete lack of respect for customers' time. Once trapping was completed, patchwork repairs were scheduled. The technician arrived with a 20-foot ladder only to discover that a 30-foot ladder was needed, forcing the appointment to be rescheduled. The repair was then rescheduled for a Saturday morning between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. No one showed up. No phone call. No email. No explanation. When I called first thing Monday morning, I was casually informed that the appointment had been rescheduled and that someone would return the following Saturday. No one had bothered to notify me. Eventually, the patchwork was completed. Because the repairs were performed at a height that I could not personally inspect, I requested photographs of the completed work. Despite multiple requests, I never received them. Even after the patching and sealing work was supposedly completed, the traps remained in my attic for approximately three additional weeks because of scheduling issues, late arrivals, and repeated rescheduling. Attic remediation was eventually scheduled for April 22 with an arrival window of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Instead, workers arrived around 7:00 a.m., forcing me to scramble and make unexpected arrangements for my daughter. While the crew unloaded materials into my driveway, I noticed the insulation they intended to install. It appeared worn and weathered. More concerning, the packaging indicated an R-38 rating despite my contract specifically calling for R-49 insulation. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told the R-38 insulation was only being installed over the attic access hatch. That explanation was unacceptable. My contract clearly specified R-49 insulation, and I expected the materials outlined in our agreement to be used. Had I not happened to notice the insulation myself, I would never have known there was a discrepancy between what was being installed and what was specified in my contract. After significant back-and-forth discussions, the remediation had to be rescheduled. Approximately two weeks later, the remediation was completed. After the crew left, I discovered fiberglass insulation scattered throughout my basement utility room, including around my HVAC equipment. I immediately contacted the company. To my astonishment, I was asked whether I could simply sweep it up myself. The issue was never whether I was physically capable of cleaning the insulation. The issue was determining why insulation from an attic remediation project was appearing in my basement and whether there was an underlying problem creating a potential safety concern. After expressing my concerns, a technician was dispatched to my home carrying nothing more than a dustpan. Upon seeing the amount of insulation present, he stated, "Oh, they didn't tell me it was this much insulation," and left without performing any work. Once again, I had to request managerial intervention. Another crew was eventually scheduled to return and address the issue. As of the writing of this review, I am still awaiting a permanent resolution. I have attached photographs showing the insulation accumulation and what appears to be insulation coming from areas near the ductwork. I am editing this after Womack came out to check their traps. We still don't know how my dog got…read morethe rat poison because the traps seemed intact. However, I caution people to be careful. Even eating poisoned rats or mice can kill a small dog and my dog was a miniature rat terrier. That risk was never mentioned. At first Womack was great. I had an issue with rats and mice because of my crawl spaces. Womack came and did a good job. However, somehow my dog got some bait and ate it. The only rat poison I know of was outside in the outdoor bait traps. My crawl spaces were also baited, but I had them sealed. After talking with Womack its possible the contractors who sealed my crawl spaces removed them and didn't dispose of them all. If you have pets, I would be very cautious, ask questions, and look for an alternative to bait. One way or another my dog died from rat poisoning.

Unfortunately, I now know entirely too much about bed bugs after my company sought out the services of Triple S. Triple S and their trained bed bug canines came out to inspect our offices after we (I'm in HR) were alerted that an employee could have possibly brought them to work. Triple S found two bed bugs in the area where the employee sits. They took immediate action that evening and treated the area. We then had them come back the following evening and do a thorough inspection of our entire office suite. If they didn't use dogs, this type of inspection would take approximately 10 days. The dogs alerted on a single box but no other bed bugs were found. As a precautionary measure, we are still going to thermal treat the area where the box and two bed bugs were found on Saturday. It's a pretty big deal. The area is sectioned off with styrofoam walls and the heaters run by a generator that will be on the street outside, will hike the temperature to 135 degrees and cook anything in it's realm. Triple S does a thorough job of removing products and items that could explode with high temp or melt beforehand (i.e. Lipstick, soy sauce packets, hair spray, glue stick, etc.). As you can imagine, my company has been itching for the last three days. There has been sheer panic in the office. The employees in the surrounding area of the location of the bed bugs were sent home to put all of their belongings that they brought to work in one heated dryer cycle, including shoes. And just in case, we are having Triple S go to their homes this weekend to do an inspection with the canines. Triple S staff, Scott, came in today to provide an information session for those that are still freaking out. One thing that stuck with me is he said "bed bugs do not discriminate on the basis of race, creed or socioeconomic status. They are everywhere." Knowledge is power and within a few minutes, he was able to give our employees some peace about this crazy situation. Before folks arrived to the session, he hid a vial filled with three live bed bugs that fed off a host this morning, eggs, casings and fecal matter in the room. After our discussion and answering many many questions from employees, he brought out Cooper, a trained bed bug dog, to meet us and show us what happens during an inspection. Dogs are such amazing animals! He was able to find the vial of bed bugs within seconds and alert his master. It was fascinating to watch and it put our employees at ease that my company has done everything we can to get rid of the bugs. I would highly recommend Triple S as an inspection company. They are thorough and highly educated in the business of pest control. We will have them come back quarterly for inspections because it is the right thing to do.
