Inquired about cost and was given, what I considered based on some of other adds from competitors, a fair price ($89). Will showed up for the appointment on time (a bit early in fact) and was friendly, cordial and professional. Completed the check of the unit and said it was running just fine and did not need anything additional. He asked me how it was performing and I told him that it didn't quite cool the entire house as well as I would like. He asked about the sq. ft of the home and based off of that told me that the unit was a little small for the amount of square footage. He provided me with a written quote of what a larger unit would cost as well as the cost of a different kind of thermostat that he felt might be useful. I didn't feel pressure by him to purchase anything at the moment and was glad he was able to provide the quote on the spot so I consider our options (I don't think we'll do anything at the moment). He also walked me through some other options, including running the fan on manual as opposed to auto mode, to keep the house cooler. Overall a great experience and I will definitely use and recommend them moving forward.

Unless you want a poorly-installed system that keeps breaking down and leaves you without cool air on the hottest days of summer, don't use CRS Mechanical. My Daikin is 5 years old and I have had them out every year since it was installed. The Daikin was replacing an old Sanyo AC that ran for 20 years without needing repair. CRS has come out multiple times, charging me hundreds of dollars for each visit, but my unit STILL is not functioning properly. CRS has not followed up on commitments to complete the promised work (e.g., coming back to confirm leaks, etc.) CRS was a BAD choice! (I live in Joliet, but I'm posting on my son's Yelp account.)

I had a horrible experience, with a different HVAC contractor, about 12 years ago and it's nice to now have a contractor that I can trust. In May of 2023 I called out because my AC unit was not working. He came out here and tested and assured me that the coil in line was fine. I needed to replace my outside unit I paid him to do that 2 months later it was out of freon, and then he charged me again to replace the freon. By the end of summer he had to come back out again because it wasn't working and told me that the coil in line was bad. Then he told me he was laid up and could not do the work. I called back in the spring and the secretary assured me that they would take care of the problem. He came back out may of this year took one look at my crawl space and basically told me to go pound sand I have to find somebody else to do the job. So in conclusion he sold me a unit that I did not need and then would not complete the job from my experiences. I would not recommend these folks for anybody out of a scale from 1 to 10 I would rate them a negative 10 Also, my original unit was only 6 years old and of course he took that.
