My father, long time customer of CVS purchased cold medicine that was behind the front counter. This ignorant Cashier said, didn't you buy this yesterday? That is none of her business. She is not a pharmacist. It's not even what she thinks it is. She said this in front of a LONG line of people and everyone looked at him like a drug addict. and just shook her head. She has ALWAYS been rude. My mother and I have been going there for years, decades even. Always rude. It's none of her business what people buy and we shouldn't have to explain ourselves. If she is just nasty to us, then I am sure she is nasty to other people. My Dad is a Vietnam Vet, in his 80s and shouldn't be treated that way. I will take this up with the manager. I go there all the time and i have for years. Sometimes it takes a minute to find an employee, but they are always helpful and polite. The pharmacy almost always answers the phone and does a great job. Join the Care Club (I think that is what it is called) and you get great coupons. The regular prices on non-prescription goods are high, but they always have some kind of Buy One Get One sale going and if you combine that with the coupons i have gotten some stuff for free. I get my prescription every month, 60 qty for GAD (General Anxiety Disorder) and PTSD. A few months ago they filled only half of it (30 qty) and since the drug is a controlled substance and I didn't realize it was half filled until days later, I had to go all month take half a dose. I don't understand how I could spend 22 minutes on the phone with Ameera, explaining to her that I need a prescription, only to get to the CVS and she try to give me a flu shot. I explained the issues I had with the CVS in Fairfax Station, and she seemed to comprehend what I needed. Ameera wasted my time, because I trusted her word that my medication would be ready, but her word was worth less than an iPhone with a shattered screen. I couldn't do anything with it. When I arrived at this CVS, she smiled as I explained that somehow she failed and got it wrong. Bless her whole heart. This has to be the world's busiest CVS. You will spend eternity on hold before the pharmacy picks up. They will literally pick up the phone & put you back on hold multiple times. Then toss you into the voicemail box. I was repeatedly hung up on because the pharmacist refused to do his job. They lie and say that a prescription is not covered when the insurance company has zero record of them even processing the prescription. If you are too busy to provide service then let the person take the prescription some place else. I've had SEVERAL issues with this pharmacy and as a medical office, I hate having to call here. The first thing said is I'm calling regarding one of our patients, will give them the patient's name and date of birth and then they will ask you are you calling from the doctor's office and you have to repeat yourself all over again because they weren't listening. I complained to the store manager, Jeff and that was completely pointless. He still is in the dark what my complaint is about. I will also be contacting CVS head office. The worst CVS/ my son has been on the same medication since he was 4 (he's 13) they didn't have it/ couldn't guarantee when they would get it. This is absolutely the worst CVS I have ever dealt with. I have been calling the pharmacy literally ALL DAY and being placed on eternal hold. At one time I was on hold for 3 hours. My husband decided he would just go in on his way home. While he was standing at the pharmacy window, he texted me and told me to call the pharmacy as there were 5 people working and no other customers. He witnessed them all just ignore the phones. Literally all but one review is one star! Please take that as a clue...I have been coming here since 2015. When I first started coming it was great, I knew everyone and they always helped. The past year and a half here has been an absolute nightmare! They are always "out of stock" of my medication, and literally will take a week or more to get in, ridiculous. I take medication that makes you extremely sick if you just stop. They never care or check another CVS like Walgreens will. They basically say oh well, check back several days later. The staff is so incredibly rude and incompetent now. They have recently treated me absolutely horrible and basically said I was a pill popper. I am prior law enforcementand have never done drugs in my life! I am constantly going back and fourth with them and my doctors. Everytime they tell me they need additional information from my doctor after I call his office and tell him and he calls, they say they need something else. Sometimes I go back and forth all day. It is pure misery dealing with these people. They take days to fill prescriptions you drop off. It takes forever to reach someone by phone, and a lot of times they pick up the phone, don't say anything, and just hang up. They say they have a prescription or have fixed a problem and when you show up, it was never addressed. Also, I use a round pill holder that has 30 days, so I have to count my medicine to put it in the holder. I have been shorted pills a lot. And you can't say anything because you left with them and they call you a pill popper. I have never been so disrespected by any business in my life. I am so done here ! As soon as my refills run out I will take my business elsewhere. Corporate is also conveniently unable to be contacted. I have tried to reach them several times. I ordered my prescription by calling the pharmacy at 6:00 AM on May 9, 2018. I selected a pickup time of 5:00 PM the same day. I arrived at the pharmacy at 6:00 pm and got in line to approach the counter and there were 5 persons in front of me. When my turn came up the technician informed me that my prescription is not ready and to wait longer an she apologized that they have been very busy. I started waiting and about 20 minutes while this technician/cashier attended persons that came in after me. I finally approached her to remind her that I have been waiting and she told me that I should have been back in line to pick up my prescription regardless. This does not make sense. Don't bother. 3pm Rx was called in from another pharmacy because mine didn't have the medication in the form I needed. This CVS said they had it. I went 3 hours later at 6pm. They said oh we need a few minutes. They had not even started filling it! Then... at 6:20 they told me "oh we tried calling you. We had the medication, but it was expired" . Excuse me? Then they argued "why can't you just take the liquid?" Umm.... I already discussed this with a dr and the Rx is for the pills. Good minute clinic experience and then insane wait for prescription. Not just long but much longer than promised. Will be 10 minutes was the last promise. Very long wait! Nurse asked me for my insurance information and told me that it would be accepted. I was there due to a sore throat so she did a strep swab and then consulted a book to determine the following procedures. After nearly two hours in CVS, I was on my way home. About 5 months later I received a bill for the total amount of the visit. My insurance company denied the claim because Minute Clinic bills as a Primary Care. Which means that I needed to have a referral to visit the nurse inside the closet at a CVS. Why in gods name would I go to my regular Dr to get a referral to go see a nurse at CVS? Might want to reconsider if you choose CVS at Tacketts Mill. The drive threw is not a drive threw, drop off or pick up any longer. Instead its park in the drive threw and get tested for COVID. If you drop off a script, return two and a half hours later only to be told it is not ready yet. Leave, return again to be told more time is needed. I'm not on the payroll but at this point I should be. My phone is in the car because it's rude to be on the phone and conducting transactions. I get back in the car to leave a third time and there is a text that my script is ready. 12:34 pm. I was in the store and was told it was NOT ready. If I could give a negative star, that would be more accurate, spending my ONE day off going back and forth for a simple prescription is more than unnerving. It's time to switch pharmacies. Not to mention the multiple times they don't have the medication. I know CVS is not the quickest, but thought, it's once a month, how bad could it be? Why waste someone's time? More importantly why is it okay? Thank god I do not need CVS and there is a plethora of other pharmacies that would be glad to have my business.The best experience I've ever had was with Wegman's and CVS Fredericksburg. I've been to this minute clinic two weeks ago to get a vaccine and had to wait awhile because she was on break which I was completely fine with(it's only one person so of course they need their break and it also says the time they are in and out) anyways I took my dad today to get his vaccine, but this time I signed in online to hold my place and was seen immediately. Horribly slow on multiple occasions where I had time sensitive medications needed. Poor customer service and no empathy for the fact that when you typically need medications you are sick and not feeling well. The Minute Clinic seems like a great idea in the moment. The nurse is nice and you get in and out quickly... but just wait when you have a billing problem and you're endlessly on hold. I paid for the entire bill up front. Not only did they unfairly charge me because they have a deal with my insurance company and I should have gotten a $21 discount, they failed to have a code for reading a TBT test so I can't file the remainder of the bill with my insurance company until they reissue the receipt with the proper interpretation code. After difficultly getting through to anyone in billing, I finally talk to Tina who admits they have an administration problem and needed to sort out the code issue and get back to me. I tell her I'm going overseas and I need revised copy of my receipt sent in an email as it will be difficult to call her again about this. She promises to take care of it but never gets back to me. Now, nearly 2 months later, I have to them again internationally and they keep me on hold for 25 minutes. Once I get through, I learn that the situation has not been resolved and I'll need to call back. read more
