Horribly run pharmacy! Always delays, even on auto-refills. I get annoying promotional calls on my cell phone about products they sell even though I have requested to be removed from the calling list. Staff is poorly trained, often rude, very slow, and don't care about the customer. Worst experience was when they voided and rerang a sale and my debit card was charged twice. In order to correct the transaction and get my money back, my bank had to delete my debit card and issue me a new one! CVS would not acknowledge their mistake! Avoid this place unless you have to....CarePro Pharmacy and Walgreens are MUCH MUCH better! read more

Never Buy Gift Cards - Shame on CVS Pharmacy and Amazon On 7/7/2017 I bought an Amazon gift card from CVS Pharmacy, a national chain of drugstores, for a wedding recipient. Two hours later due to personal reasons, I'm unable to attend the wedding and present the card. I went back to CVS Pharmacy with receipt in hand for a refund. A store manager and cashier told me that prepaid gift cards are not refundable and their systems are unable to gift card refunds. They suggest I call Amazon. During the call, the Amazon customer service representative says they will not be able to refund the gift card because I purchased it through a third-party vendor (CVS). They can neither see the activated gift card on the system nor received the dollars I loaded for the card. The Amazon rep recommended I go back to CVS. Exasperated, I went back to CVS. I told the manager that this convoluted policy of no refunds on gift cards hurt the customer and trust in the store. Again, the CVS staff reiterated their position that prepaid gift cards can't be refunded however, they agree to be on a call with Amazon to find a resolution. Still at the store, I called Amazon with a CVS manager. I told Amazon that if both CVS and Amazon can't refund the gift card I bought just 2 hours ago doesn't make sense to a customer. After a long conversation both CVS and Amazon continue to reiterate that they can't refund the gift card with each side saying the other can refund using a specific method. An Amazon supervisor eventually got on the phone and said they can't do anything and hung up. ***Abandoned By Both Retailers*** Being abandoned by both stores upsets me. If retailers don't stand buy gift cards sold at their stores or at the redeeming store, I would never buy another gift card. Customer service needs to make refund exceptions after considering the customer's situation and make fair decisions and not simply rely on store policy written by someone in the back office. Although Amazon is a popular online shopping site and I'm also a customer. I don't intend to purchase anything in the short term. Without a reimbursement I can't choose to use my dollars at another retailer or get a good meal instead. Save yourself the trouble and gift someone cash or check. I hope gift cards become extinct because they don't do anything for the customer or even a gift card recipient other than limit their shopping choices and allow the retailer to collect cash. read more

I have been going to this CVS for years, mainly because I use to live right up the street. The pharmacy has got to be the worst run pharmacy I've ever seen. They have auto refill, 2 or 3 days before you run out of medication, it is suppose to be automatically refilled and they have an automated system that calls to let you know. I received such a call yesterday, went to pick up my prescription today and AGAIN it wasn't filled and they said no one called..really I still have it on my caller ID. Any way now I need to wait 15 minutes for it to be filled when they call my name I then need to wait in a line 12 deep for the ONE cashier that is open. I'm moving my prescriptions to Walgreen's which I can see from my apartment, and they have a drive up pick up window. I can see how they could possibly be any worse then CVS. One more CVS comment, they have installed SELF checkout at the front of the store...SELF CHECKOUT...then why do they have a CVS employee there to ring up your stuff???? If you have a question you have to wait until the employee is done ringing in the customer at the SELF checkout to get help. read more

I've been using this CVS exclusively for well over a year now. The store is pretty huge, and not at all cramped. The layout is easy to follow. The pharmacy workers are SUPER nice, and will gladly answer any questions you have, while maintaining privacy. This location is open 24 hours, including the pharmacy. 3 stars rather than 2 because they're open 24 hours and parking is plentiful. My basic expectations of a CVS are: good selection and stock of pharmacy stuff, cosmetics/toiletries, greeting cards, and food basics, plus reasonably helpful staff. My bar is actually pretty low for the staff. This location meets these requirements. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I have no problem with self-check. I think it's a good option if you're purchasing anything embarrassing or awkward, which is bound to happen from time to time in a pharmacy. That said, some of the self-checks are pretty frequently broken or turned off. My limited experience with the pharmacy has not been great. I filled one prescription there, and it wasn't ready on time. They asked me if I wanted to do the auto-refill option, and I said OK and gave them all of my information. The following month, my Rx wasn't refilled. This was a happy coincidence because as it turned out, I didn't need to take it anymore and had forgotten to cancel, but you can see where that would be problematic otherwise. Another time, I had emergency room discharge notes with instructions on taking an over-the-counter medication. The notes had contradictory wording, and I took it up the consultation desk to see what they thought. The woman who helped me barely looked at it and sort of took a guess as to the meaning. I called the doctor who wrote the notes, and they were like "Oh geez, yeah, why does it say that? That makes no sense -- it's a typo." So they told me to do that opposite of what the pharmacist said. The issue wasn't so much that she picked wrong, but that she really shouldn't have picked at all and should have told me to call my doctor rather than guessing. read more
