Saw me miss the page for my medicine, let me sit there for 10 more min waiting, finally came up on my own and her only response was that I wasn't listening. Horribly rude in the way she handled it. The person behind me also had to go up to the counter on his own. She also knew who I was bc as soon as I walked up (after she had plainly seen me waiting after I missed the announcement) she said I missed the announcement and that I should enroll in text alerts. So what was it Pam? Did I miss it? (Yes) and then did you decide out of meanness to let me sit there in pain or is it "just not your job"? Whatever it was, that attitude is exactly why you'll be who you are your whole life. Management, if that's who's "leading" your group back there..you have a major problem. Editing bc I also should say the rest of the staff at the pharmacy and the supervisor I spoke with were all great. Also, none of them looked shocked by her behavior (what does that tell you?). worst pharmacy in the valley. Somehow this pharmacy inherited presciptions from the best pharmacy in the valley desoto pharmacy which recently went out of business. I've been without medication for 5 days now and finally transfered to yet another pharmacy in disgust. Desoto offered free delivery and cvs supposedly matched this with unbelievable caveats. First you have to sign up at cvs online. Of course, many older and disabled clients don't have access to a computer but i did this step. Next they required an app on your smart phone. of course people on medical and medicare probably don't have a smart phone. long story short as a computer professional i could not jump though all their hoops and after speaking to the pharmacy manager Pamela was shocked to discover they make no provision for disabled or people without transportation. She informed me everything is online these days discriminating against the poor impoverished and disabled . As the son of a doctor myself i know all that is required is for her to tell their delivery person to deliver or mail medications to the client as the first duty of any reputable pharmacy is to get medication to clients I registered a complaint to the dept of consumer affairs and suggest anyone else having problems with this pharmacy do the same to get that manager fired as she has no business running a pharmacy read more

Do not go to store # 9638 Manager Rene is useless and unhelpful. My elderly mother was told after waiting in the drive-through line she needed to go inside and get her prescriptions or come back after 4pm. Unreasonable! The manager could only tell me this was a corporate decision which is untrue because I go to a different CVS and the pharmacy is open to everyone and is terrific. In this day and age, CVS should care about all their customers and not ask people with underlining health conditions to wait for their prescription or make them come inside when there is a drive-thru. This is your standard CVS in terms of stock, but I give it an extra star because of their pharmacy staff. Twice, the pharmacists have pointed out an inconsistency in prescriptions that I was picking up. In both cases they took time to explain the need for additional conversations with the doctor about the meds. I really appreciate their helpful and caring customer service. read more

I go there mostly for vitamins. They are usually running a sale on vitamins and CVS is the only store I have found that carries some of my vitamins in larger bottles. The last time I was there, one of my vitamins was not on the shelf. I asked an employee and she found three bottles for me. This last visit they were running a buy 1, the second is 50% off sale and they only had three bottles. They gave me a discount on the third bottle, even though they didn't have to. The store's general items are a little expensive, but their drug store oriented items are often cheaper than places like Vons. If an employee doesn't understand my question, they always find somebody to help me. The pharmacist always seems happy to answer questions. This CVS store seems to have shorter lines at the pharmacy than some others. read more

I just moved into this area and have always been able to rely on CVS for a gallon of milk, iced tea, toilet paper, etc. I preferred it over 24 hour convenience stores. NOT at this location. The shelves are commonly half (or more) empty of products. If they do have what you're looking for, they will most likely have very little and no brand choices. Several times I was told the item (Arizona Iced Tea) would be restocked, "it's coming tomorrow" twice I came back to be told the same thing, I haven't seen the item in the last two times since either. I thought the store was closing and asked several times what was going on, only to be told they were restocking. For 4 or more months? The cashiers just didn't want to acknowledge the empty shelves on any of my several visits over about 6 month period. Perhaps they are restocking, but I've lost faith that the store really cares about much. I will wait and see and perhaps get some good discounts at their closing sale. read more

This place opened not too long ago. It replaced a pool hall (Plush Cue)...I guess it's for the best, that place attracted a certain element at times. There were instances of people being jumped or shot there. Still though that place was a big part of my childhood, my friends and I used to go there and play arcade games all day long. Oh well things change...I feel like I'm getting so old...I can drive down the street one day and say things like "when I was your age this CVS was a pool hall!". Anyways, they have a fair amount of parking and the inside is relatively organized. Only thing I don't like is that every time Ive gone here I've had to wait a long time to check out. I couldn't thank these guys enough last night, so the least I can do is leave a nice review... I had a super busy month and was late on refilling a med that has a time frame for renewal. Nancy was super helpful and didn't make me feel bad for leaving it till last minute. They were able to fill my medication and went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get it on time. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience at this pharmacy; if anything, they have some of the best crew members. had to get some baby motrin cause J had a little fever the night before. i needed to have it available while visiting my folks in case it kicked back in. the fever/flu section was not very well stocked this day, midafternoon on a Wednesday. had a hard time trying to find my motrin. nice gentleman did inquire on wether i need assistance. the cashier was also nice. overall good service. plus they had air conditioning which helped being mid-90s out side. read more

CVS Pharmacy - A cold day in the Valley... Burrrr! - Drugstores Near Me - Winnetka, California

This is my neighborhood pharmacy for over 5 years. I need regular prescriptions and need pharmacy at least twice a month. Staff is so rude, so slow. I decided to drive the distance to my old cvs at Porter Ranch rather than go through the long wait and rude and unprofessional service I have received here. Following a surgery I had no choice but to get my meds closer to home. If I could choose a thumbs down to rate this pharmacy, I would. Today I waited for about 15 minutes in drive through to pick up one prescription. Apparently my secondary insurance is not in the system. I had three surgeries since Dec, I have picked up many times. I don't know why my secondary ins is not in system. I had to leave to avoid holding up the line any longer than necessary. I parked and located my secondary insurance card. I drive back to drive through. Now there are 3 cars ahead of me. After waiting ten to 15 min, I was told by another employee that in order to pick up prescription Using secondary ins I will need to come inside to the pharmacy because they will need to update insurance inside, this can't be done at drive through. I was frustrated but I parked and went inside. I waited about 23 minutes for help. There were about 5 people in line ahead of me. I didn't think I can wait this long. My sugar will drop as I hadn't had lunch yet. I decided to leave. Then I realized I need my meds and I should just deal with this. When I finally get to the front of line, It was the same women that first helped me at the drive through. I advised her that I have my secondary insurance card. She advised me that I need to go to the drop off counter for help. She told me to go wait in this line, pointing to another line of 3 people. She can't put my insurance in the system here. I said I've waited in line twice outside and now this long line. She advised her computer can upload ins info. I went to the next window and waited about 10 min. I provided my secondary insurance rep advised she can not use two insurances. I advised her she can. I have always had two. In fact I've been getting my meds here for months using both primary insurance and secondary insurance. I don't know why it's not in the system. She argued with me that the prescription was billed to primary and secondary will deny it. I advised that secondary will pick up my $60 copay. She told me it will reject. I insisted that she try it. I demanded that she just try it. She did and of course it worked. My secondary pick up the copay. Now she told me I have to go back and wait in the first line I stood in to pick up my meds which are paid in full and in her hand bagged and ready to go. Are you serious??? This is my 5th time waiting in line. I asked her to just give me the meds since my secondary picked up my copay. She Insisted that I return to the next line to pick up prescription. So here I go back to a line of 5 people a head of me!! Oh boy, my sugar dropped I had to grab something off the shelf to pick my sugar up. Besides having to put up with rude employees in the pharmacy, here I spent an hour to pick up one prescription!!! I always have issues of rudeness and difficulties finding my orders, even after I receive text that my order is ready. I will not do this again. I give this pharmacy's a big "F". read more

It's seems like people only write reviews when they are upset. The last few days I've had an allergic reaction to something I ate, I am covered in hives! It's been awful BUT Sheri helped me find the right type of Benadryl and was so helpful. Unfortunately the hives continued and I had to go to the ER to get a stronger perception. That's when I brought the perception the ER gave me to the pharmacy and Jennifer understood the discomfort I was in and reassured me they would fill my perception as soon as possible. I personally love the service here and the store is clean and organized. I don't understand all the bad reviews. read more

PHARMACY TOTALLY SUCKS!! Always something or another that is a problem. Doesn't matter if you go inside or use the drive-through. VERY SLOW SERVICE at this Pharmacy. One old lady there (I think she is probably from India) messes up orders and doesn't seem to know anything. She is not pleasant or unpleasant, just continuously been either ignorant or non caring and seems to usually screw up orders dropped off or she forgets to put the orders in for filling. She got WAY too annoying to deal with anymore so we finally did the smart thing and switched pharmacies. The staff is always too busy and the lines inside long and with people waiting. Outside in the drive-though is usually a joke and a total waste of gas. The actual pharmacist man (head guy in charge) was friendly but this location always seemed to have problems contacting doctors or they totally seemed to make up excuses for every time they had a problem. Stupid calls ALL THE TIME CONSTANTLY calling us in the morning ALMOST EVERY SINGLE MORNING hours at 8AM letting us know prescription were ready to be picked up when they were not ready when we got there! ERGH!!! I cant count how many times they called us to say prescriptions were ready to be picked up, only to get there (waste my gas & time in line if we used the drive-through) only to then find out the prescriptions really wasn't ready at all. Automated robot call back system BS! Plus, if you want to piss off your doctors and their staff, then this place and rude employees they have will do that. Plus, IN MY OPINION....THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THIS HORRIBLE PHARMACY SHOULD BE KNOWN FOR AT THIS LOCATION IS WHEN YOU HAVE TIME SENSITIVE MEDICINES, THIS PLACE DOESN'T CARE AND YOUR HEALTH CAN/COULD BE POSSIBLY PUT AT RISK AND YOU END UP OUT OF IMPORTANT LIFE THREATENING MEDICINES THAT YOU MIGHT/COULD NEED BUT WILL BE OUT OF FOR DAYS BECAUSE THIS PHARMACY SEEMS TO CONSISTENTLY SCREW UP! LACK OF GOOD COMMUNICATIONS between them contacting doctors and following up!? Always a problem and always LAME excuses and they like to blame your doctors for the their own lack of communication skills and following up. I even had 2 different doctors offices ask me to find another pharmacy if possible. Then the very last time we dealt with this this horrible pharmacy was when my wife was TRYING to get her prescription filled, but their made up BS EXCUSE was the person working couldn't legally give my wife those prescriptions because this new lady (they had in the drive through & inside) was "in training" and didn't have the "authority" to give out to my wife the prescriptions that were waiting and ready to be picked up. Yeah, they told her to come back 3 TIMES because of this same BS issue? What? NOBODY WORKING THERE THAT CAN HAND OUT CERTAIN MEDS when they are supposedly training someone else that can't? WTH? TOTALL BULLSHIT! What a load of total BS!! Yeah, a person in training is the reason my wife can't get her IMPORTANT MEDS? When they are ready and already filled? Yeah, "You'll have to come back later when someone is here that can hand them out legally." is EXACTLY what they said 3 TIMES having to drive back to pick up the meds they said were ready. Was TOTALLY 100% done with this place after that BS. This place got way too annoying and troublesome to keep dealing with and now we have a much better pharmacy and won't ever got to any CVS every again or give them our business. Plus, this location is in a really bad crime ridden neighborhood with gangs, panhandlers outside and trouble makers. The store inside has not much to chose from product wise but a lot of junk foods (candy, chips) and alcohol. Go figure that. All the other products sold there are a rip-off imo and products you can get cheaper at any grocery stores or even a Walgreens is cheaper. And the managers at this location don't give a crap about anything that goes on there nor the store's problems. Long wait lines inside almost every single visit no matter what time of day. This place is a nightmare to go to. Every time I go in this location, (mind you I live down the street so I have the unfortunate need to go here quite often) - I carry my backpack, since paying for reusable bags doesn't make sense - and driving half a block down doesn't make any more sense. When I walk in, it never fails - either I'm closely followed, watched awkwardly, or approached rudely by one of the managers (specifically an AfricanAmerican woman) and demanded to place my backpack in the front. So now, I've taken the approach where I walk in, right to the front and just drop my bag on the counter because it's truly a degrading, and enraging experience being treated with such lack of customer appreciation. Now, this place is NEVER stocked on ANYTHING. GOOD LUCK! Not to mention, God forbid there's more than 3 people in line... you'll have one person ringing the customer up, and another store associate or even manager just standing behind them doing some real petty task like tearing stickers apart. This place is THE PERFECT example of how customer service SHOULDN'T be. One thing I can say that does come in handy, since I'm curiously followed all through out the store is whenever I need help finding something, they're right there behind me to help me find the item that they DON'T, HAVEN'T, and seem to NEVER get back in stock. If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars I would... unless you are in life or death need of this place, DON'T EVEN BOTHER. On 4/2/19 at 10:28 AM - I received a robo call that a prescription was ready. When I called to ask what prescription it was as I had not called in anything. Pamela answered the phone and in her script voice "There is one call ahead of you" BS - on hold 15:38 seconds, called back. "PAMELA" answered again with the same script, one call ahead of you. I told her no, do not put me on hold, I'm not doing that again. She then proceeded to tell me to get a cell phone and use text messaging as it is a 'digital' world "NOWADAYS" and if I didn't then I can expect to be put on hold. She was mean, unprofessional, rude, and insulting. Everyone there has been great, Nancy especially and Eddy as well. But this female "Pamela" didn't want to discuss what the medication was which I did not request a refill for. They followed me around and asked if they could help me, when the front lady had already asked me this. Duhh how many times you have to ask me? So i asked for a store manager to tell them I felt harassed. She then proceeded to lie that she asked everyone if they needed help. Which is bullspit!!! I just transferred all my prescriptions to CVS at Roscoe and De Soto. The second time I went in to pick up an order the girl behind the counter (Yesenia) addressed me by name. I was hooked. I get a phone call and a text when my prescriptions are ready and they also have automatic refills. No more forgetting to refill. Yesterday my doctor placed an order at 3pm I got a text it was ready at 6pm. I am on a treatment similar to kemo therapy but the side effects are not as bad. I am taking allot of different drugs right now and they have everything in stock. Changing to this pharmacy was the best decision I have made in a long time.
