My boyfriend went inside and came out with a Diet Coke (he's diabetic and we both drink diet when drinking soda). He was so happy when he got to the car, saying he really liked the owner here. He said they got to talking about sugar free products that are sometimes hard to come by (aside from soda)... then the owner made his day... He had SUGAR FREE SLURPEE! We had to try it and we were not disappointed. He only had the Vitamin Water Blueberry Hibiscus flavor in sugar free (but it was delicious). This was the first time my boyfriend got to enjoy a zero sugar slurpee. Thank you to the owner for bringing in/trying out different sugar free products and for your excellent customer service!

Would I continue to get gas from this mega gas supplier!?: PURCHASE 87 Unleaded Regular Gas ($42.50): I was hoping to make it to "my" Costco Gas location, but the GPS read that I wasn't going to make it, so I went in! I casually did a U-Turn into the station, pulled into the first open pump on the driver's side, and did my thing. After 12.28 gallons of gas at $3.45/gallon (credit card price was $0.10 more per gallon), I was good to go on my way for the rest of a busy day! Andy Capp's Hot Fries Corn & Potato Snacks ($1.59): An impulse buy, its namesake used to be one of the many comic strips I read as a child, so naturally it caught my attention - damn you marketers! Basically, this tasted like my favorite Funyuns road trip snack but not in ring form, colored in a Trumpian orange Oompa-Loopma tint, spicy as a chili pepper, and left your fingers stained even after you tried to lick them clean. Otherwise, all was good. PARKING (FREE) There were a couple designated spots around the right of the Food Mart. Otherwise, there was no need for parking because you simply wanted to pull in, pull out, and be on your way. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A short price signage at the corner of Beverly Blvd. and Norwalk Blvd. only visible along Beverly Blvd. as you approached the intersection. With the aforementioned small-sized "Food Mart" convenience store, this was a spacious covered gas station with designated pump and thoroughfare lanes. There was plenty of natural lighting during the day while I imagined bright electric lights flooded the night. There were no TVs but background music played inside the Food Mart. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL This Chevron gas station at the corner of Beverly and Norwalk Blvds. Served its purpose. They definitely didn't have the cheapest gas in town but were centralized to my in-town business. Generally-speaking, the entore facility was well-kept and clean. As I got more familiar to the area, I was certain to find better alternatives...or planned better to have more than enough gas to get me to a Costco Gas station. However, I abhorred the fact that they had separate prices for cash vs. credit ($0.10 difference) and charged for air/water; these were the main factors in my rating. I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $44.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 3.5 STARS

The basic store is well equipped. Has all the stuff one would need. It's clean, the staff are professional, and they even have some little surprises like historical Manuels about the area, or cute little gifts for the kids. The place I always go - whether walking in or, more likely, the drive up - is the pharmacy. The young people who work there are friendly, professional, and helpful. I go so often, a couple of the young folks know me by name and ask how my family is, even though they haven't ever met them and only here about them from my inquiries and casual small talk when being rung up. I love that. I always am happy to swing by to pick up the needed meds, and I usually get a friendly smile and greeting in the process. I'm happy to patronize this location and feel it's one of the cleanest, friendliest, and most well equipped in the area by far.

I had a terrible experience with the manager Richard Aguilar. I asked him what was the protocol in banning ppl from the store because I tried to address my concerns in regards to a terrible experience him and his employees gave to my sister. Richard was very unkind, unapologetic, and arrogant. Richard should not be a manager, at all!! He lacks customer service skills and does not have the patience to deal with an irrated and concerned CVS client. I believe he is very unprofessional and should be re-trained because he is lacking in taking full responsibility for the negative actions and remarks of his employees actions. The lady who had a daughter the same age as mine was gone. It became so cold and sterile. And incredibly unprofessional. Last time I picked up was a disaster. I had to call them to pick up my meds- they wouldn't prep them until I called them which is wild, that's never how it used to work. Then, when I went to pick up my meds, when I got home I noticed I was missing a script. I called them and asked what happened and they told me they were out so they didn't fill it. That couldnt have been mentioned ONCE at pickup???? Great, thanks. Now I'm out my meds... thank goodness I had some extra at home. And forget using your FSA/HSA card. They always run it wrong. Last time I had a balance of 3k and they told me I was out of funds. I said "absolutely not, try again, my app says I have 3k" and they ran it again and of course it went through. But it always takes several tries of several employees here (but not at Whittier community....). Anyways, this used to be my go to pharmacy- and now it's just horrid. Never returning....

On my pick up date, I waited over 1.5 hours, they said another persons order receipt/ticket was lost and they were unprepared to fulfill all the other orders because hers was a large order. Not surprising since their ordering system is so unorganized. I should've got my order comped for the inconvenience, but the management was less than helpful. Not necessarily blaming the deli staff because they seem severely short handed every time I go in. It's a shame because my family and I love the chicken, but I have already told my family to stop ordering from there for parties. We can support elsewhere.
