Look, I'm not gonna get into details, but my family needs a lot of prescriptions. About six years ago, I moved to Pico Rivera and was super close to this location - honestly, couldn't be happier to give them my business. The basic store is well equipped. Has all the stuff one would need. It's clean, the staff are professional, and they even have some little surprises like historical Manuels about the area, or cute little gifts for the kids. The place I always go - whether walking in or, more likely, the drive up - is the pharmacy. The young people who work there are friendly, professional, and helpful. I go so often, a couple of the young folks know me by name and ask how my family is, even though they haven't ever met them and only here about them from my inquiries and casual small talk when being rung up. I love that. I always am happy to swing by to pick up the needed meds, and I usually get a friendly smile and greeting in the process. I'm happy to patronize this location and feel it's one of the cleanest, friendliest, and most well equipped in the area by far. read more

Never go here, In the past few years they have REALLY lost their shine. Workers need training , pharmacy should be well equipped in all aspects especially in the medications that are needed but no. Needed a prescription filled. They only had half an amount told me they would call me when it was in 2 weeks later no call. Called them they said oh yeah we now have it, my reply was why didn't you contact me, I have been out of that medication for days now!!!! They said I didn't authorize the text message. What text message. Oh yeah the one I never received!!!!! My reply was and you couldn't call me? You have in the past. I then requested a discount on the price for my inconvenience and they refused saying my insurance won't pay. Maybe not but what about them few dollars they could of put in for my inconvenience. And another thing the girl that I was ist explaining all of the above never came back to the phone and I has to reexplain to another girl. They really have poor customer service and incompetence. Go if you like bad service and high prices. Like I said they were never like this years before but they no longer take pride in serving the public.Shame on them, I give them a big F for failure. Apparently closing at 12 AM means closing 20 minutes early because "we feel like it." If you're open until 12 you close at 12 I showed up at 11:40 and the "managers" or whoever was closing up were leaving the building and decided to just get into their cars and leave. So unprofessional, Im so disappointed I NEEDED to stop by a pharmacy on my way home was work I was so happy that this place was open until 12 AM, because I too work late and close. When I called to check the status of my prescription, I provided only my first and last name. Without verifying my identity or requesting any other identifiers, the pharmacy staff disclosed my medication details. This is a direct violation of HIPAA and demonstrates a complete disregard for patient privacy and professional standards. This type of behavior places patient information at risk and reflects extremely poor patient care and training oversight. I had to return something I had literally purchased 30 minutes before with the receipt in my hand and the cashier asked for my ID also like what the heck is going with Walgreens customer service. Although the girl that rang me up was nice the one that was there for my return had the worst attitude, acted like she owned the store. Usually they are very helpful and employees greet you at the entrance. Today was very disappointing, I went to buy some anti acids which the store keeps them under key, just press the bottom and some one will come. Well that was not the case today, I kept on waiting and nothing there was only one single employee in the floor who couldn't even help me out because she did not have the keys. Many rings later, and the employee calling in speaker asking for help here it comes the so call manager with an attitude. Not even an apology for taking so long. This Walgreens location needs to retrain its manager by the name of "Frankie", if that's his real name. He lacked professionalism and simple customer service skills. I had called the store the night before to confirm its Passport Photo hours and the person from Photo that answered my question stated that they would take passport pictures up to 8:30 pm. I went the next day before 8:30 pm. Frankie, the manager stated that they stop taking photos by 7 pm. I explained that I had called the night before and was given the 8:30 pm cutoff and if he could honor it since it was not even 7:30 pm yet. Frankie stated that he would not honor it since I didn't speak with him and even if it was the manager that was covering yesterday that I spoke with, he would not honor that manager's information regarding the Passport Photo's hours. WTH! What kind of customer service is this. Frankie didn't even say that he was sorry for the misinformation. I know it wasn't his fault but my request was reasonable. It's customer service 101, try to rectify a mistake. Frankie's solution was to come back the next day. Why would I go back there, I don't patronize a business that gives poor customer service. I frequent Walgreens for many things like their cosmetics and meds, I prefer it to the 3 letter pharmacy (we shall not name drop) but I'm disappointed in your seasonal items or lack there of. What happened? Do you guys sell out of your Halloween stuff that quickly? There is no way that all your dia de Los muertos stuff and nightmare before Christmas stuff sold out in two days. Every year I walk in and purchase some Halloween stuff. And this year after trying to keep my eyes open to see when you would put out your Halloween stock I walk In to be completely disappointed. This is one of the worst Walgreens I've been too! Frank or Frankie has horrible customer service skills! I came in with an upset stomach so I came to get some medicine and supplies while I was there I had to use the bathroom really bad I asked politely if I could please use the bathroom and the older lady at the front counter said yes because she could see it was an emergency so she paged someone to go to the back, Frankie was back there fixing shelves or something and denied me using the bathroom very rudely saying that he had just cleaned it, I told him that it was an emergency and that I would respectfully not leave a mess, he went on saying that no because bathrooms close at 9pm keep in mind that people go in here feeling sick or needing stuff for upset stomach's and they don't have the bathrooms open for emergencies, are you kidding me! If I could leave zero stars I would but they are highly committed as it says to having your photos ready in one hour and when you process your order it sends you a email saying that your order will be ready in an hour and they are working on it. I placed an order for a photo book and the email told me it would be ready around 9 PM I called at 10:15 PM to see if my photos were ready and they kept me on the phone for 10 minutes and when I asked about the process of my photos the rude customer service guy on the phone said that he was sorry but that someone was working on my photo book and they stopped so my photos will not be ready to around 12 AM. Wall greens if you are going to promise photos in one hour please do not have customers waiting three hours or more I am highly disappointed and I will not be coming to this Walgreens anymore might as well just go wait in the lines at Walmart to process your photos read more

Walked in today around 6:30am to buy a product the local Walmart did not have in stock. Upon entering a female cashier greeted me warmly. I asked her if she knew where I would be able to quickly find the item I needed, she not only knew what isle but the exact shelf placement of the item. Very impressive service. They're good in a pinch, as most Walgreen's are. They have a drive-thru pharmacy which I never used, but probably should have since they get helped more quickly. I'd give them 4 stars for having most of that stuff you need last minute, but I gave them 3. Why 3? Well because I had to switch pharmacies. This was my go to pharmacy when I lived in the area until I got a bad case of 4 month long pneumonia. They were great for the multiple rounds of antibiotics I went on and other medication. But when it came down to needing some cough syrup which does not contain codeine since the stuff doesn't work for me they wouldn't fill the prescription. They didn't have it in stock, and the refused to order it. You see, this prescription is a cough syrup that contains a bit of Vicodin, and they wouldn't order it because "children get addicted to it." That's great and all, kudos to you for looking out for kids... but I'm 25 years old! I was forced to take my prescription to the nearest Target, and they've been my pharmacy ever since just because it became convenient to pick up my prescriptions while I shop. And no, I'm not still taking that "addictive" cough syrup. read more

"In a perfect world"...Walgreens would not exist. Their Pharmacy prolonged the simple process of receiving the medication that was needed immediately post surgery. 1. Their system was down. 2. They turned away 2 prescriptions because a 3rd one had missing specifications. (I totally understand the 3rd but not keeping the other two was unnecessary) 3. They don't call to notify the other 2 were needed when picking up the 3rd order. 4. They tell me at 1:20 that they'll be gone till after 2:30 (not only do I have to come back, I have to wait to come back) 5. Today, and other days, I can get my drugstore needs quickly, drive on over to Panera Bread for some lunch/dinner, get my pet necessities over and done with at the Petsmart, and drive on home.
