I have had excellent luck getting my eye glasses at Costco. They seem to just get it right. The cost compared to the typical smaller opticians is exceptional. That is the reason why I renewed my membership, Picking up my new glasses today, just 5 days after ordering them I like shopping at Costco. Great prices overall. Purchased a BJ's membership, but visited once and that was it. Prices are not as good and it's a depressing store in Leominster. What was not so impressive at Costco in W. Springfield was the chaos at the customer service counter. They use a poor system for routing customers waiting to speak with customer help, routing them across the throng of shoppers entering the store with shopping carts. Bad, bad, bad workflow. Apparently, the store is being redesigned, but who knows when that will happen. Hoping they get approval to site a new Costco at a little used mall in Leominster. Much closer to me.

I went here Tuesday morning for my second dose of the Moderna vaccine. The lady at the front counter was very friendly and helped with our paperwork. She even let me get my shot first because my housemate got hers first last time (it's only fair). Usually I am a mess when it comes to needles, but the lady who gave me my shot was so nice and I felt very relaxed. The plastic chair and privacy barrier were on point. I am awarding bonus points for her band aid aim. When my roommate and I got our first shot, the guy completely missed the injection location. However, I think band aids are just a formality for shots, nothing wrong with a little drip. After getting our shots we were sent to the luxurious observation area. We saw something on the internet that says if you do large arm circles your arm would be less sore, so of course we had to do massive arm circles. We got some strange looks from customers but some of the pharmacy staff gladly joined in. A bit later the nice vaccine lady asked how we were doing and I said, "Good do you have any of the vaccine stickers?" and unfortunately she said no but I said, "any sticker will do". They then proceeded to pull out a HUGE basket of stickers and I got to take TWO!!!! Incase you are wondering I took the sparkly cactus and the scary looking dog. The nice tall man in the back who did arm circles with us did ask if we were partaking in the events of 420 however we genuinely were not, we are just high on life. I am from the Boston area, however we might just have to come back for a visit.

What is so special about this particular XtraMart over all other gas stations that she is a fan? It is, after all, just gas. The answer, dear friends is this: They have soft serve ice cream. Even better, it's serve-yourself soft serve ice cream. As in, you walk up to the machine, grab a cone, waffle cone or cup, choose your flavors from vanilla, chocolate or twist, and fill that container as much as you want. I love soft serve ice cream. Especially when driving from Boston to Philadelphia, stuck in traffic, needing gas and being generally crabby, there is nothing like decent soft serve ice cream to brighten the day. We were bush tired, already, having taken an extraordinarily long time getting out of Massachusetts. As I got out of the car at the pump, I saw a sign. "We have Soft Serve!". I actually let out a happy squeal of delight to see this sign. I go skipping into the station building while Lion filled the tank. At first, I didn't see the soft serve. Could it have been a lie? An old ad that hadn't been taken down? Circulating amongst cases of drinks and aisles of snacks, I felt despair. Why, cruel world, why would you do this? Then, over by the serve-your-own-hot dogs was the machine. Serve yourself. Priced by the container. YES! I chose a waffle cone and filled it right up. Mmm. It was pretty good soft serve too, not super-grainy like you get sometimes at the all-you-can-eat-buffets. Nice, smooth, not overly sweet. Aahh. I convince Lion to get a cone too, and he agreed, it was pretty good soft serve, especially for a gas station in a rural area right off an interstate. The attendant was pretty deadpan, he did not find my dance of joy over the marvel of soft serve at an otherwise unremarkable gas station entertaining. I believe he's seen that dance too often, jaded by the displays of utter happiness over and over and over again done by weary travelers. Or, he could have just been hung over. If I were to make this drive again, this Xtra Mart is most definitely on my must-stop list. If you have to ask why, well, you need to read the whole review and not just skip to the bottom.

Download the app for additional savings of 10 cents per gallon...and another 2 cents per gallon in a little account for you to get free stuff. I'm a Pride guy. Very satisfied doing business with this company.

The prices are great; in fact, I'd go as far to say that the local chains (Big Y, Stop 'n Shop) can't touch their prices. Their produce selection is amazing, and sometimes they carry local produce, which is always a bonus. Our budget is always met when we shop at Price Rite. If you're not into the heavy crowds that show up, especially on weekends, go late in the evenings on a weekday night for your weekly shopping. We're NEVER disappointed when we go at 8pm on a Wednesday night!

He accused me of stealing the items as I walked in and was not only rude but very unkind. Due to the weight of my return, the long walk to the register and my breathing condition I was not breathing well when I first encountered him. Although he could see I wasn't breathing well he continued to ask me questions insisting I answer him instantly. He treated me as if I was a child doing something wrong. I am a 48 year old woman . The policy is 7 days for perishables and 30 days for other items. It has been 4 hours. After I was banned from doing returns he followed me out of the store harassing me the entire way. He is a terrible manager and a unkind, unintelligent, cold, rude person. Everytime I shop there when he's working he's always just standing up front doing nothing. I won't be shopping there again. $17 return vs over $500 a month in sales. Not bright!!!
