I have called more than 4 times and they have never picked up or returned my call. Today the nurse called with me on the line and once I had began to speak, Angela was very rude and unprofessional. When I had asked why she had not returned a call, she would not answer that question and began to talked over me. Who is in charge of this place and how can you reach them ? It is an unkept up business and run down. It looks like it is going out of business and the employees act like they don't truly care. My loved one has been without his medicine for almost 2 weeks. I am done with them and will transfer all prescriptions out! If you are considering going here, think twice!

Also, I have been upset with that one because a lot of the staff weren't wearing masks as they should. Meanwhile, this 12th Street CVS is larger, cleaner, with all; staff wearing masks, and the pharmacy staff were wonderfully efficient and friendly. Sadly, this CVS has to deal with a lot of theft from the crazy homeless guys who wander in, so there is significant stress on the staff. I admire their courage in dealing this problem of criminality.

I was there at about 8:40 and I was doing some shopping while waiting for the pharmacy to open at 9am. I had trouble locating an item and asked the cashier up front for help. She was new and wasn't familiar. I asked if there was anyone else available to help. I was then led to a young man who was on his cellphone leaned over the portable AC unit. He was dressed in a dirty white t-shirt and jeans. He was so unprofessional I would never have assumed he worked there. Instead of getting off his phone and helping me find the item he told me to go back to the aisle I had already looked. Eventually, I as able to locate the item on my own but it was locked. I pushed the service button 3 times over a 5 minute time period and didn't get any help. When I went back towards the front, the cashier was occupied. I went back to the same young man and asked him if he had a key and was told by him that only the cashier has it. I waited another 5 minutes and eventually the young man came with the key. I was finally able to get the item I was needing. I purchased the item and then went to wait for the pharmacy to open. The pharmacy opened almost 10 minutes late. The pharmacy staff arrived late and didn't even offer an apology for the inconvenience. The service in this particular store has gone from bad to worse. I plan to change to a different parmacy company all together. I feel the CVS staff at multiple branches could really use some additional training on customer etiquette.

The validation has changed and it's a strange tablet situation where you hold the parking slip up to the camera and align the squares. It's tricky and usually people aren't there to explain it to you, so I've had to help a neighbor out myself. It is annoying to have your receipt checked. I know there have been issues with theft and I'm grateful that the entire store isn't locked down, but sheesh! This is not unique to this store though. It happens across this city. The pharmacy has been a positive experience, outside of the app not working. I stopped receiving app updates for renewing my medication. That was frustrating. The texts always come through though! If they aren't updated, I can call and ask and usually get through to them. I'll never understand the checkout line system. How do I put my cart on the opposite side of the grocery belt and still load the bags, etc.? I just do self check out!

    The Brookland CVS continues to be understaffed and understocked. They also continue to make errors…read morein a prescription for a maintenance medication. Earlier this year, CVS sent a text message stating that the Rx had been filled. When I went to the pharmacy to pick it up, they told me it was not ready and that they had to order my medication, which would take a week. At this point, I was out of medication. My only recourse was to go miles out of my way to pick up the Rx at a different branch across town. This week, I attempted to refill the same Rx, but the automated systems (both phone and computer) are set to refill the script in September. Someone at CVS keyed in my 30 day supply of medication as a 90-day supply. Again, the Brookland CVS refuses to take any responsibility, even though I picked up the Rx from them. They told me today that I need to go to the CVS across town to correct the error. I called that pharmacy, and left a message for the pharmacist AND called my doctor to ask her to send a new script to the Brookland CVS. This is for a script with multiple refills. This is unacceptable, and although I've complained multiple times, the only recourse I have at the moment is to report the issue here.
