For things like restaurants and retail businesses, my Spanish is strong enough, but this is a situation where I needed to be able to communicate with someone in my native language. Most businesses in Miami have someone who is bilingual because Miami is filled with people who speak either English or Spanish, but this one did not- at least on the day I called. I don't really like leaving negative reviews, but maybe by them seeing this, they will consider hiring somebody who can communicate in both languages because I feel like they're cutting off the possibility of doing business with a significant portion of the community.

I arrived at approximately 4:55 PM on Sunday to pick up medication for my 58-year-old husband, who is seriously ill. The pharmacy is posted as closing at 5:00 PM. The pharmacy area appeared partially closed, and I had to seek assistance to determine whether it was still open. Once I reached the counter, a female employee immediately told me, "We are closed." I pointed out that it was not yet 5:00 PM. I checked my phone--and it had just turned 5:00. What is particularly upsetting is that the pharmacist had seen me there before closing. I respectfully asked if, since I had arrived before the posted closing time, he could please release my husband's medication. He refused. I understand that employees have procedures and that pharmacies have closing requirements. What I do not understand is refusing to assist a patient who arrived before the posted closing time and was already physically present at the pharmacy. If I had arrived after closing and asked them to make an exception, I would understand being told no. That was not what happened. This was medication for a seriously ill patient--not a convenience purchase. I am extremely disappointed by the pharmacist's handling of this situation and will be escalating this matter through Walgreens' corporate customer service and, if appropriate, the relevant pharmacy regulatory authorities to determine whether the pharmacy's conduct and closing procedures were appropriate. Patients and their medications deserve better than this. A pharmacy's responsibility is ultimately to the people relying on it for their health and well-being. Shame on Walgreens for allowing a patient to be treated this way.

Seems simple enough to request a refill, but they don't confirm receipt of an online request, or let you know the script is ready. On a more personal note, the meds I order require a specific dosing tool because the medication is meted out in clicks. Village Pharmacy has compounded the medication into syringes at least half a dozen times, which makes me wonder what else they are missing. I prefer to support local businesses, but as soon as the dosage matches that available on Chewy, I'll be switching to their pharmacy.

She came across as making assumptions about people based on their appearance rather than treating everyone professionally and with respect. Regardless of how professional or courteous someone is, no one should feel judged or stereotyped while simply trying to do their job. The pharmacist on duty, Michael C., along with his team members Renitza and Amanda, were incredibly helpful. Michael calmly and professionally asked about the severity of the burn and then instructed Renitza to retrieve a blue bottle of CVS Pain Relieving Gel on the shelf. He also clearly explained how often to apply the gel and advised me to use an antiseptic ointment if the condition worsened. Fortunately, my fiancée only developed a red mark on her abdomen, with no serious complications or infection.

From my parent's house, this particular Walgreens is 3.4 miles away. And although we have a 24hr drugstore even closer to us, this specific Walgreens happened to have a specific medication I desperately needed on hand. In a series of about 7 phone calls between a specialty pharmacy I was formerly using and my prescription insurance, it finally came to a point where I needed to use a local pharmacy (e.g. Walgreens) to dispense this medication. You see, although I am originally from Miami, I live out of state and was only in the area for a week for vacation. We even had plans to travel internationally from Miami, so it was vital that I got my medication before we left the country. In the many disappointing calls I've made to my former specialty pharmacy, I called the local Walgreens to see if they had the medication. They referred me to this specific 24hr Walgreens and lo and behold, they had the medication!--albiet, in a different injector mechanism but still the same medication nonetheless. You have no idea how relieved it was for me to find out they had the medication on hand and how precessional/caring they were to work with me in getting to transfer my prescription from the specialty pharmacy to this Walgreens pharmacy (because all this rush to get this accomplished was done the day before our international travel). All I had to do was call my doctor just to change the dispensing medication to the auto inject that was already available at this pharmacy. Within 2 hours, they got to process the prescription and insurance and I was given the update through text and email that my medication was ready for pickup. You best believe I rushed right over ASAP, provided them with the co-pay assistance card from the manufacturer of this medication and was able to leave without paying out of pocket! I know I've only used this particular Walgreens pharmacy once, but through the phone calls during the process and even with my face-to-face interaction with the pharmacy techs there, I'd say my experience was truly extraordinary. Even when I was waiting in line, it went at a decent pace. And as the line grew after I was already tended to, more pharmacy techs were able to assist other patients in line. I love that they have a drive-through pickup at this location because it would make running errands a bit easier for stay-at-home mommas like me. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my services at this Walgreens. I highly highly recommend you consider this pharmacy for your prescription and health needs. You can trust that you'd be in good care.

And each time I try to locate an item that I saw online it is never on the shelf that it states online. Like any Walmart there are only a few registers open but I usually do the self checkout. Make sure you keep your receipt as they're required to check everyone's on the way out.
