Pharmacy review only - these ppl should not be trusted with something as serious as ones medication. They are essentially responsible for ur life since they are dealing with life altering drugs. They gave misinformation on a drug in which we called for hypertension and instead administered another drug for RA. How could they make such a careless mistake? The person over the phone confirmed the drug name and we continued to process the refill after many verifications. When we received it, we noticed they gave us the wrong drug! This proves the pharmacist didn't know what she was doing and instead of verifying any doubts she may have had she confidently confirmed that this was the correct drug. This review is for the pharmacy. They are the biggest bunch of incompetent idiots I've ever encountered. Seriously, and that's saying a lot since I work in the public sector. They tell you that a prescription is ready but it's not even in stock, you arrive to get your prescription the day after they call you that it's ready only to be told that they returned it because you took too long to get it. They refuse to fill a prescription because they don't like how the doctor wrote it. And the best one of all: they dispense an injectable medication but refuse to give you syringes because the doctor didn't specifically say to give syringes but they didn't bother to call the doctor to ask. So how the h*ll is one supposed to use the injectable medication?!? It's a damn good thing I'm not really sick, or I'd be really screwed with this type of service! read more

I've been using the pharmacy for years. Sadly to say it's manned to the bone now. I phoned in a refill 27 hours ago. I got a text message to pick up and waited 3 more hours. Drove there and waited 20 minutes in line just to hear order not ready. They called later saying they didn't have enough pills for the order and wait 3 days! Gonna switch to Walgreens. read more

happened yet again. we pull up through the drive thru, the lady yells hold on, we wait 15 minutes. we see her in the window eating a sandwich, then wipes the counter down, then picks up her cell phone, sits and chats for 8 minutes or so. Then comes to the window and asks how can she help us. "need to pick up my prescription," she replies, oh "I'm not logged in, I can't help you" and yells at her coworker to help us. So we waited so she can simply mess with us. this happened 7/4, and I was just released from the hospital, so I need these meds immediately and locations are limited, because of the holiday. read more

This review goes out to their photo department. I came in yesterday to have my son and I take our passport photos and customer service was immaculate thanks to Houri. She took my son's photo with great patience and it turned out great. My photo came next...and Unfortunately, I wore a beige top and it was going to blend with the white background so I had to change. Thankfully houri allowed me to just wear one of the cvs blouse they had for the photo so I didn't have to go all the way home. She was also kind enough for me to change in their employee bathroom. This review is for the Pharmacy. I come here often to pick up prescriptions for a love one. They often go above and beyond to sort out any issues related to the prescriptions. The best customer service comes from Meg. She is so accommodating and always goes the extra mile if for some reason you are being denied a medication. She does everything in her power to try to get it approved. I've taken one star off because although the rest of the staff is almost as good as Meg one gentleman is less enthusiastic about his job and it's evident when compared to his coworkers. read more

The women behind the counter was very rude and had her phone hidden behind the counter (not well) and had me wait for her to finish texting to get my receipt. I tried to see what name was on her name tag but it was scratched off. How convenient!!! I came here on Saturday, after working the night shift. First the red box didn't have any paper, they said they didn't have any??! Maybe too lazy to refill it. After I was done, I was going to do a diaper deal. Staff and manager don't know how to read the print on coupons. "mostly P&G (Proctor & Gamble) will say something like "Limit One Coupon Per Purchase. Limit Of 4 Like Coupons Per Household Per day" If you alone and go to the store and want to use your P&G coupons, you are only allowed to use FOUR of each kind ("like" coupons). You yourself are NOT allowed to use any more than FOUR of each one in a single day." One beeped and the manager gave me some bs about how I can only use 1. Wasted an hour. Worst cvs in the valley. I haven't had a bad experience with the pharmacy, like other reviewers, but I am also not that happy with this CVS. The employees are friendly but there aren't enough of them! There is ALWAYS a long, unnecessary line because only 1 person is working the register. And yes, they always seem to be doing the best they can but the wait takes away from the "convenience" of coming here. I do love the changes that are being made with banning cigarette sales, however, and hope it's a step towards other positive changes for all CVS locations. read more

I used to get all my medications from this pharmacy. But recently they don't seem to have access to most of them. I've had to go to other pharmacies to get my meds and gradually they've whittled down their access to nothing. I don't understand what's going on with this place. They blame it on the supplier but other places seem to be well stocked. Unfortunately I'm going to move everything to the other pharmacy. read more

I don't get why this CVS gets such bad reviews. I go here all the time because its close to my house and I've never had a single problem that other reviewers have had. I hate the pharmacy at this CVS. On the other hand I will buy essentials here. The older staff members are funny and courteous when I'm being rung up. They make sure I have my appropriate coupons and that I save money with my purchase. They have longer lines here but that is because they're actually there to make a connection with you. This CVS is clean enough. Long waits in lines with one checker for 10+ people. My biggest complaint...and I am overly ired on nearly every visit is their pricing. They are surely breaking laws the way they have a stack of a product with a big SALE sign on it and when you check out you are told ...."Oh this one isn't on sale". Without question, the WORST PHARMACY in the region! Everytime we went there, they were unprofessional, unknowledgeable and inconsiderate to everyone. Every time we visited, all those customers waiting with us, and there always were many, were also treated very badly. To say they are rude, unhelpful and dismissive would be an understatement! The straw that broke the camels back came when we called just to see if they had an over-the-counter sinus medicine in stock (we went on several occasions and they seemed to never have things in stock) and the pharmacist refused to tell me over the phone whether or not they had the simple brand-name medicine in stock or not, accusing me of the possibility of being a drug-maker! I have no idea why CVS management doesn't do something, but I (and at last count, a dozen other friends who live nearby) will never go to this CVS pharmacy or its store for that matter, ever again. I shopped at the CVS Tujunga location to avoid harassment from the senior hags at the CVS Montrose location. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the cashier and young man of the photo department. The young man of the photo department lead me to the restroom to unlock the restroom door. As the restroom door opened we both noticed feces smeared on the walls and floor. The young man of the photo department apologized while he closed the door behind me. I returned to the entrance of the store for a cart but only baskets were available. My shopping list included two cases of Nestle bottled water and four six packs of Scott paper towels. I asked the young man of the photo department where the carts were located and he informed me of one unavailable cart. The unavailable cart was being substituted as a contraption for a half clothed toddler teething on the metal of the cart while the dirty father ordered his perscription from the pharmacy. The only two Scott paper towel six packs available were discolored. Before I left, I mentioned to the cashier that the restrooms needed attention and he responded "I didn't do it!". The staff members who are non-pharmacy employees are always very pleasant when I go into this CVS location and I have never had issues with the actual store. The pharmacy on the other hand is a completely different story. Time after time, they manage to make shopping there a total pain in the butt. Today, after waiting in line for 15 minutes w/ my kids, the prescription which was promised by noon time (and it was 3:00) was still not ready to be picked up. If this was the first time, I would overlook it but it is ALL THE TIME. My doctor had written me a script for a migraine medication, and it took them 3 weeks to report back to me that they couldn't fill this script. That was three weeks w/ me calling them many times a week to see what the issue was and waiting on hold for 30 minutes +. CVS, please find some competent pharmacists!! read more

Great location but they have allowed a transient to sleep behind the trash can for many months. The mattress is stained with fluids and there is trash all around the mattress. Management has not responded at all in cleaning up this mess. read more

I have had consistently bad experiences at this CVS Pharmacy. There is always a minimum of a half hour wait for medications, even when the pharmacy seems empty. But today took it to a new level! I had an urgent care call in a prescription for an antibiotic ointment. The urgent care was 20 minutes away, so I drove in and went to the drive-through, but it wasn't ready--they said another 30 minutes, so I decided to drive home and come back after dinner. A few minutes later, someone called my husband and left him a message, saying that they needed to verify the prescription because the instructions were omitted. He wasn't able to call them back (and the prescription wasn't for him anyway), and he texted me to ask me to follow up. I called, and they said the prescription could not be ready until the following day because the instructions were left off. ?!? I informed them that it was an urgent care and it was still open and if they needed to verify the prescription, which they hadn't done. I also called the urgent care and asked them to follow up. The new plan was that my husband would pick up the medication on his way home, a good two hours after it was called in and an hour after I told them to call and verify the prescription. I asked my husband to call and verify it was ready on his way, and when he did, they said it wouldn't be ready for another 30 minutes. Outrageously bad service! read more

This place is hit and miss with me. You have pharmacy techs like Meg who are warm and friendly, then you have cvs checkers who seem to need a bit more training. They always greet you as soon as you walk in with Welcome to CVS, however that welcome seems warn out fast if you encounter a rude checker on your way out. Some of them have been there for several years, the rest seem like they're on heavy rotation. New today, gone next week. Seems that way with that Managers as well. I've seen at least 5 different managers in the past 3 years or so. I've never had a problem with any of the managers. I did however have an issue with a new employee there named Morgan a few weeks ago. She brushed passed me in the isle on her way to get something, and brushed against me again as she walked back after grabbing it. She's a big girl. At least 6' tall. Intimidating, especially if you're the type to bump into someone without a simple excuse me. Meh...Evenso, it's still a pretty decent cvs location. When the print out machine is working, and depending on how generous the rewards system is being, I always get a few good coupons after scanning my card and make sure to utilize those that I can. The pharmacy techs aren't always the same, much like the checkers, but I've never had a problem. One guy who's name escapes me right now, was an absolute sweet heart! I remember he was transferred to Reseda, then came back, and was gone again. Even without him there, I have no complaints. Sure there may be a wait from time to time, but what can you do?! This is a CVS store close to my new home and as such is very convenient for my many prescriptions. However I have overlooked the fact that many non-pharmacy items are higher prices than other CVS store I visit on occasion. This morning I went here with a $9.00 coupon on my phone. The cashier could not access it as my email stated that I had already printed the coupon but to head on in to the store before 8/15/3916 to use it. The cashier called the manager over who said you are not getting a discount with the coupon from the email as it was printed previously, which it was not, so I was out of luck and had to call CVS corporate to straighten it out. But he did tell me to have a nice day. I have overlooked the higher prices solely because the coupons off set this discrepancy over less expensive CVS locations and the convince of getting my $300.00 plus monthly prescriptions so close to home. This manager blew me off! He should have and has the authority to simply discount the purchase. Instead he lost that purchase entirely and I am currently searching for a new though less convenient, location to house my prescriptions and to make my general pharmacy purchases. It may end up being another CVS but not this one. This manager could have cemented a customer relationship. Instead he ended one. I'm glad he doesn't work for me! read more

One star is being generous. I have repeatedly given this pharmacy chance after chance but now I am completely done with them. Given, they have the slowest lines I have ever experienced but their entire process is inefficient. This pharmacy is just poorly run. Sometimes I never receive text alerts, sometimes I do. Sometimes they don't even have my medication, though they say they did. I also have waited in the drive through with 2 sick kids for 40 minutes and there were only 2 cars in the line. With sick kids and no other recourse I was forced to wait. However, no longer will I tolerate this structure of mismanagement. A new pharmacy awaits my family and I am comforted in knowing that it literally cannot be any worse than this one. read more

30 minutes on hold to speak to a pharmacist. Not even a single, "Sorry for the wait, we will be with you as soon as we can." Nothing. After witnessing two or three scenes by other angry customers over the last few months, I tried to give this pharmacy the benefit of the doubt. But then they tried to give my son the wrong dosage even after my wife confirmed personally with the doctor over the phone AT THE PHARMACY. She had to pass her cell phone across the counter to the pharmacist so the doctor could rip her a new one. It appears the staff is stretched incredibly thin and the people who are left are extremely unprofessional. I recommend Rite Aid just a little further down the street on Foothill. read more

This is a small CVS, so it can be limited, if you are looking for a wide range of products. For the most part, though, it is convenient and for my needs at least, I find almost everything I need. The staff is super nice, from the cashiers to the managers. I love the ExtraCare Bucks program, although lately, there haven't been such great deals like in the past. I miss those! I used to get lots of makeup, shampoos, over the counter meds that we needed at home. Lately, you can only count on free toothpaste about once a month... if you have the right coupons, that is.
