I went to Tujunga Chevron at 945am today to get 2 BBQ propane filled. The guy came out very quickly filled on with 5 gallons (which I knew was totally empty and the other took 3 gallons. So 8 gallons of propane @ $4.89/gallon = $39.12 + $3.72 tax. Total $42.84. I like to refill my propane instead of doing the exchange and I think I saved money. I was very happy with the entire experience and don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. The guy who helped me was very pleasant. read more

I was begging the so called "manager" for 15 minutes to help me fill propane after I called and asked and he said ok . his excuse was it's raining I'm not going outside, and after 15 minutes of begging I asked for the owners number and his name he refused to give it to me. Boy always bad encounters here! The staff is often rude, careless attitude types. This latest recent visit I was getting gas and such. Fortunately, I do cash since hear of lots of hacks at this place. The woman attendant, with little english, got real snippy with me handling the transaction. I then had a problem with the pump taking forever. She wouldn't come out to investigate or anything. I finally got it reset. I then did the option for a receipt. This is one of the most rundown Chevron Stations I have visited. Dirty and smells inside. The pumps a darn near antique. Javier, a staff member the owner should be ashamed for representing his business, has absolutely no customer service skills. They don't even participate in Chevron corporate programs. Seems skechy. They have all the Chevron advertising for deals but they refuse to honor them. When I asked for the contact number of the management to inquire about the false advertising and denying corporate policy I was denied. One of those places that I would worry about using a Credit Card. Edit - So after posting this I went back to read reviews. Lol. This place is a joke. I have been living in Tujunga for many years. I've rented Uhauls from this location. Usually I'd deal with an Hispanic male. Short, elderly, glasses, always kind and sweet. Normally I pay at the pump when I come to this gas station, but the pumps facing foothill Blvd are so old and sun damaged that you can not read the screen when the sun is out. I tried putting my card in the pump to pay, but I simply could not read what the screen was saying. It was telling me to see cashier. That's when I ran into an elderly Caucasian male. I believe his shirt said Ron. I've seen this man at this location before, I've dealt with his nonchalant attitude before, but I just can't remain silent anymore. I don't know if this is race based hate or if he's just a miserable old man, but something is wrong. This man did not greet me, did not make eye contact, he was completely dismissive, despondent, and down right rude. I have no clue why. I can ignore the whistles and cat calls from the day laborers that camp out here, but Ron is a representation of this gas station, of the Chevron organization. His demeanor and behavior are completely unacceptable. I've done nothing to this man. He makes me feel very very uncomfortable when I come into this location. He makes me feel unsafe when I come to this location. Even Moreso than the day laborers here so there's a problem. I live in Tujunga. I don't know what his problem is, but hopefully corporate can fix this. I certainly won't settle for this. He can treat the day laborers like sh*t all he wants, Latina I may be but a day laborer I am not. I am an American born citizen and will be treated as such by people working in customer service. The middle aged woman that works there is the rudest person I've EVER had the misfortune to encounter. I'l never go there there again. Everytime I go there I leave angry . If you say HI she will never answer you . If you ask a question and she answers you and you don't hear her she'll actually say " I'm not repeating myself". I was standing by the counter when she came out from behind the counter and just said "Move it, get out of the way" ! I couldn't believe her behavior. BEWARE. CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!!! My gf parked her scooter here to pick up a uhaul for an hour or so. When she returned the scooter, which had been parked in their parking lot the whole time, it had been burglarized. They ripped open the ignition and tried to Hotwire it but they are failures and failed. They must have seen her coming because when she got to the scooter, the ignition had been hastily jammed back on and there were tools scattered around. She told the people behind the counter who seemed shocked and appalled but, if you ask me, not much happens in the parking lot of a Chevron that the owners don't know about. A few dudes offered to help her load up the scooter and drive her home but she smelled a rat and didn't go for it. I shudder to think. After reading all the other one star reviews and reports of stolen card info, I am more convinced than ever that this was no accident and the owners are either complicit or actively involved in the MANY CRIMES THAT TAKE PLACE AT THIS LOCATION. How long did you pump gas today? It took me about 5 hours today. No, not for the gas - for the fraud I had to deal with after my recent visit here. Shortly after my visit, my card was charged with about $100 of purchases at a nearby Sunland gas station. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere, or at least closely monitoring your cards afterwards. As I'm looking through prior reviews, it seems like this is an ongoing issue that has yet to be addressed. Gives shame to the Chevron brand name. read more

Pretty cheap gas. Chevron is my choice of gas and come here to fill up most of the time, but if I had another choice, I'd probably go elsewhere. When I go here now, I always try to just get gas outside and leave. The people that work inside sometimes are kind of creepy. One of the employees there was basically talking crap to these two men that walked in, saying a whole lot of racist stuff to them that I couldn't believe. I actually walked out that day not buying anything. Their mini mart is meh anyways... This gas stations serves as a U Haul dealer, and I did use it once about 2 years ago. No complaints there. There are a group of men usually hanging around here looking for work if you are planning on moving. A good amount of homeless people make their way through here as well. I love Chevron, but the constant presence of people lingering here and the creepy employee would make me want to spend a little more money on gas and feel safe. read more

Cheap enough Chevron. Easiest one for me to use when staying in Tujunga. mini mart pretty much sucks. Watch out for the bums doing their recycling next door and the immigrants trying to ask everyone at the uhaul spot connected to the gas station for help moving. read more

This spot is hella shady! =/ I highly recommend that you don't come here alone at night..But other than that, this location is clean & the air/water machine is hardly ever occupied [which is why I even come here] and if you go inside, the cashier will turn it on for you; DON'T be fooled by the 75¢ sign! We come here for the UHauls when we move stuff ( recently I took my antique dining table out of storage and hired one of the eager day labor guys who is awesome) and also for gas and lotto tickets. The guy who manages the trucks is no nonsense, smart and helpful in his own sweet crusty guy manner. Three gentlemen day laborers we have used were fantastic people- one turned out to be a neighbor, and they all were hard working men. I am close enough to use this spot pretty often when leaving for work in the early hours of the morning and I never feel unsafe with the laborers whereas other stations have some spooky types (tujunga's finest) prowling asking for money.... I on principle do not love Chevron because of their sneaky corporate tax avoidance in CA and their refinery practices up in Richmond but this review applies to the people and the management of this particular station. Plus we are all slaves to the oil kings and in this area I truly miss really good public transport as we had up north and in the D.c. Areas. If we must live in SoCal I am glad this station is clean, helpful and close by. read more

Worst treatment of a customer ever! I was accused of lying about the air/water machine eating my 75 cents once and vowed never to go back. Unfortunately, I had to rent a Uhaul from them this weekend. The man told me the smaller, cheaper trucks were reserved that day and I had to go with a larger, more expensive truck. Well, driving back and forth with my move all day, I didn't see the smaller trucks move at all. Me thinks he was lying to make me pay for the larger truck. Plus he was just plain rude. read more

Been going there for over 10 years that I have lived in Tujunga. Gas used to be expensive but they got smart and now they index their price on what stations sell for in the SF Valley. Have used the Uhaul over the years many times without any issues. They need to police the lot better-perhaps a security guard-the hangers-on people at night and even during the day are creepy and are sometimes agressive. The station does nothing about this and I am sure it drives some business away. As for me, I fill up in the Valley when I can rather than go here, but the convenience of having a nearby Chevron when the tank is low is helpful. read more

They do NOTHING for security for their pumps - I was ripped off (well, my bank was anyhow) using them because they had a 'scammer' device on the pump. If you use this station (and no complaints otherwise!) PLEASE check carefully - best to go inside and pay your bill. Now the Chevron in La Canada (of course) has the security tape strips in two places on each pump and they check each pump to make sure they are intact EACH SHIFT! Google it to see what the stickers on the pumps look like so you can look for them in the future. But this CHEVRON DOES NOTHING! Not good. Oh - this morning at another store I was mentioning this to someone and another man came up and said he and his wife experienced the same thing at this Chevron. read more

rude rude very rude went to return truck and tow dolly, ron the clerk on duty at the time told me i had to unhitch the tow dolly and put it along the fence, and park the truck in another, i attempted to unhitch their trailer dolly and could not, went back and told ron the clerk and was rudely told u-haul is closed now and to come back in morning, the entire ron was rude and did offer any sort of assistance. so i left the truck with the keys locked in the cab, this so called u-haul dealer is not way u-haul is represented i dealt with u-haul stores in the past and never had a problem, this place states 24hr drop off beware !!!!!!!!!!!!!! and if ron is helping you good luck with that !!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
