It's a local CVS- not much different than any other, but I will warn you that the parking lot seems particularly treacherous. Stars off for the near accidents I've experienced! They share the lot with an IHOP and various other businesses so it's almost always busy- be careful! That said, the employees here are nice and the selection is comparable to other CVS stores. I use their rewards program which gives you $5 off your purchase quite often if you use it about once a month. Great for seasonal candy (Halloween and Christmas) and my "It's a 10" leave-in conditioner obsession (with my $5 off coupon, of course). If you sign up for their rewards program, they will also mail you 20% off coupons. read more

I was looking at Christmas items and there was just one of several cute items that were damaged. Usually a store will offer at least a 10% discount for damaged items. The manager required that I pay full price, or she would just return it to the manufacturer. That's just poor customer service. It's not like I was over there breaking things and I spent approx $70 in the store. Just bad customer service. Worse customer service at any CVS location in the freaking world. I went in to buy some eye drops, lays chips, red bull etc and forgot to scan my cvs card at the front of the store. I usually give the cashier my cvs card and they would kindly scan it for me, but this guy at the counter? No. He proceeds to give me a FULL ON LECTURE why I screwed up: 1. We HAVE to scan it ourselves the first thing we step into the store 2. He REFUSED to let me scan it for coupons because I'm "already at the check out counter" 3. Even upon agreement on my end that I will scan it first thing in the future, he scolds me THREE more times that I need to do it before I start shopping 4. I had sent my 20% off coupon directly to my card RIGHT before I came in, and he tells me it's not on my card. Of the many years I've been coming to cvs, this is the FIRST time this has happened-- and I don't think it's just coincidence. I believe the man has issues with the world. I was in such shock I couldn't give a good response or comeback, only that in the past it's always been fine scanning at the counter. And he responded by saying it was a change in CVS and we need to do it ourselves beforehand. Like WOW are you my boss or something? If not I don't think you have any right going on and on lecturing me about something that really, let's face it, doesn't even freaking matter! My GAWSH I wanted to smack his face in. He was so rude about it too- condescending tone and treating me like I'm a little kid... Upon arriving home I was feeling so discontent about the mistreatment I called the store and spoke to the assistant manager because the manager was out. He immediately knew who I was talking about- Ramon is the name- and apologized. I felt slightly better, but definitely am NEVER COMING BACK. Please do yourself a BIG favor and go to the one located only a few miles away on Verdugo (Montrose). This CVS is OK. Not good not bad. I've never really had issues with the pharmacy here, but I've only used them a few times. Their selection is fairly small compared to the Montrose location, but usually convenient enough if we need something. The main reason I have the two stars is for their slow service and photo dept. they've messed up our order two times already, and won't compensate. Also, their lines take forever! They're very nice people when you get to the cashier usually, but they just take too long... My wife and I decided that we will never go to a CVS for photos unless its reallllly necessary, but for sure never for special occasions- we'll go to shutterfly, where it's dependable... I was just at the pharmacy, and what started as me initially getting really irritated about the technician saying they didn't have my prescription or the insurance information, that I dropped off hours ago and went over with them on the phone, and the pharmacist Billy (Who had a line of customers and working extremely quickly and efficiently on customers both inside the store and at the drive-through) stepped over and instantly handled it said he had the prescription and the information, filled it right there as I waited in less than a couple of minutes, personally walked me over to the register and had the technician check me out. While I was there I felt he gave the same level of service to every person that came in. He was truly working so quickly and so helpful and friendly with everyone there. Their set up is really unreasonable they have two separate lines in the drive through the pick up and the testing line and even if nobody's there for a test they won't help you directly you have to go through and put your card in a tube and touch all kinds of crap. Horrible idea! read more

Great photo experience! Got disgusted trying to print a holiday card at another drugstore and the equipment was old and beat up. So I came to CVS Tujunga and they have two much newer and cleaner stations which functioned very well. Got the job done quickly and it was printing right away! Fuck this pharmacy. My kid just got out of surgery & they didn't want to fill a prescription because he's a minor. The order form said call the dr. They didn't want to do that. I used the automated phone feature to have the pharmacy contact the doctor regarding and prescription refill.. the system is hit or miss.. 1 medication gets to the doctor office just fine.. but another one I request.. the doc office never gets the request. My mom's coupons could not be used due the size of the shampoo was not available. Still the worst run CVS in my opinion. Rude, irritated staff. Unfriendly when there is a line. Employees just yelling if you have a card,use the machine. Picking up photos that were guaranteed a hour prior still not ready. Employee said it will be awhile longer, there are other orders in the que and nobody has time to change the paper. Worst service ever. I've been coming to this pharmacy for years and have never had to deal with kind of disorganization. My doctor sent an e-prescription to the facility 2 weeks ago. I called to follow up and they told me that they didn't carry it at their store and delivery doesn't work over the weekend but it'll be ordered and ready for me by Monday. That was fine. Come Monday, nothing. They said that they had to place another order for it and will call me when they receive it. Another week went by, so I called to follow up today. A girl answered and said they didn't carry that prescription but had a generic version of it. I said it was fine, so the girl said it will be ready for me by 3pm today. I get here and everybody is looking at me like I'm crazy because now apparently they don't even have the prescription I've been asking on my profile! And of course when they call my doctor's office, it's freaking closed! This is completely ridiculous. I'm am very upset and disappointed at the lack of communication among the staff and poor handling of a patient's paperwork. I've had nothing but good experiences at this CVS location. First of all, any employee that insists on welcoming you loud and clear as soon as you step into the store is worthy of mention. Every single time that I've come into this location, the person on the far right of the register makes a clear effort to make me feel welcome and remind me that I can reach out with any questions. This CVS is always clean and I've always been able to find exactly what I'm looking for. Whether it's baby toothpaste, wipes, diapers or motrin, my shopping list has been taken care of without any wasted time. The pricing is standard on all items and they generally bring a good selection of seasonal items, especially for Valentine's Day and Halloween. The only thing that makes me raise an eyebrow is the ridiculous length of their receipts. Is it really necessary to have 30 inch receipts? I used to love this location - but this went wrong: The pharmacist refused to offer us service yesterday, while my girlfriend was in severe pain because she said she was closing in ten minutes. On my clock as a customer, CVS Pharmacy is still open for another 10 minutes regardless of how lazy the Pharmacist is. Am I right? We were told to drive all the way to the Verdugo location because she was closing up...(About 15 minutes via surface streets WHILE my girlfriend was in severe pain.) CVS Pharmacy. Please increase your staffing in the pharmacy dept. I doubt any person should have to wait 4hrs or longer to get their prescription filled. We dropped off the order and was told it would take about an hour which is kinda normal now. Came back, was told it would take another hour. I told them i would come back later. Well, came back 4hrs later and still not ready. Apparently i wasn't the only one waiting. About 5 other people had the same issue. I believe the blame should go to management for creating such chaos with low staffing. 1 pharmacy tech with 2 assistants seems like bare minimum. I am local and I go to the CVS I would say maybe on a weekly basis. I have nothing negative to say. The place is always clean employess always ask me if they can help me find something. I believe that the staff very helpful when they can. When there are long lines they do always ask for additional help, sometimes unexpe no one else is really available for additional help but they do try their best. read more

It all depends on who is working behind the register. I'm a couponer. Some of the employees tend to seem intimidated or confused by coupons. The tall Armenian lady with the short haircut once told me the revlon coupon that the cvs machine printed out for me does not apply to revlon nail clippers. Said it was for makeup only. She said this without scanning the coupon. I knew I'd used this coupon for clippers before, I knew she was wrong, but I didn't feel like causing a scene. This CVS looks great from the outside. Clean looking, modern, and newer looking than the one I normally go to in Montrose. Again, as I said about shopping at the Albertsons in Tujunga, coming here truly made me appreciate living in Glendale, something I never thought would ever happen. I truly felt like I was surrounded by a bunch of tweakers at this place. Every person that walked in I had to guess what drug they were on. I remembered that I stupidly left my window cracked a little bit and had to leave the incredibly long line to pull it up. There was a long line of about 13 people. I was the last one in line and then maybe a minute later, the line grew and grew. One person at checkout. This one person did nothing to request backup, actually, I was pretty sure he was the only person working in the entire store, other than the two that were working in the pharmacy. The line was held up by a woman of about 65 with bleach blond hair. She had to inquire about every single price that rang up to make sure it was what was posted on the floor. Finally after 10 minutes of this crap, she moves to the side and the next person goes up to be rang up. The lady decides to look at the display of bagels that are on sale for 99 cents. After this guy is done ringing up last customer, she cuts in line, and says can you just take my dollar please so I can buy these bagels. I was astonished that the employee took her dollar and rang her up. Normally a proper employee would have told her to get back in line. She totally thought she was being cute too because she continued to look behind her at everyone in line behind her, including myself, giving her really nasty looks. Then she complained that she didn't get her penny back. The employee said the bagels were actually a dollar. She then argued for about 5 minutes about how it said 99 cents on the bag. Luckily, me being the rude person that I am when I feel someone is taking advantage and is incredibly out of line, I had to loudly say "NEXT!" That was followed by "I'm not done yet!" heh heh...."Lady, you cut in line, you're done." Needless to say, It was my turn maybe 3 minutes later as the gal in front of me brushed tweaker lady aside, it took the guy about 2 minutes to ring me up, easy purchase, I don't care about the prices because I actually look at them before I decide to purchase something. I was left wondering.....why can't everyone just buy what they have in their basket instead of questioning every....single....price. Then I had wonderful thoughts about the CVS I normally visit in Montrose and on Los Feliz and San Fernando in Glendale/Atwater. I love those locations and I don't care if the Montrose location is flooded with senior citizens. At least they don't hold the damn line up for 10 minutes arguing about bagels and at least the people there know that when there is more than one cash register and the line is long enough, more cash registers need to be used. Rude, miserable staff. I pull up to the drive thru and the I'm told to wait. A girl who is obviously new and Is in training picks up the phone I can barely understand her, since her English was limited. I was asked to pull over so they can verify my insurance with what they had in the system. Why do I have to pull over for that? After the confusen on my face, this very rude man picks up the phone huffing and puffing tells me I can't be in line while they check. Why the hell not? Its bad enough they work at snail pace. I was told to leave and they'll call me and that they were busy and I was not the only customer there. So freaking rude!!! This location should hire more staff. I will not return to the pharmacy!!! U was mistaken for someone else, and right before Xmas, was told I had to leave the store, and I could not buy the almost $200 in items I had in my cart. First and foremost this is going to be a scathing review. I went to the pharmacy after getting a text message to renew my prescription. The first time I went to pick it up I was told they didn't receive authorization from my doctor. I called my doctor and was told he was awaiting them submitting the order. I followed up with them, and they didn't know they needed to fax my prescription. I went back there and they still didn't have it ready. Worse yet the female pharmacist did her best part to reenact her best impression of Kim Kardashian, by making me wait 20 minutes to be helped by her male associate, and then immediately helping the customer behind me that just walked in (diva). I walked back in again after being told my prescription would be ready at 5:30. I waited again for 20 minutes to be helped, then was told my prescription wasn't ready. WTF! I told the woman to cancel my order, walked out, and screamed "This pharmacy f'ing sucks". I received a text message 20 minutes afterwards telling me to pick up my order. Unbelievable. read more

I see this pharmacy has some bad reviews - not sure why, but here's my 2 cents: This pharmacy is part of a newer small mall that occupies the SE corner of Tujunga Cyn. Bl. and Foothill Blvd. In the same small mall you can visit the Dollar Tree, Pink Mango (for yogurt, smoothies, real juices and boba), IHOP, a video store, a massage place and a McDonalds - and a few others that I can't recall, at the moment. The location is great - moments off the 210 freeway - take the Lowell exit and go straight up Tujunga Cyn. Bl. towards Foothill and there you are! It's fairly new and a good sized pharmacy - with a DRIVE THRU, people! A DRIVE THRU. This is a life saver when your kid is sick and you need to pick up medication. The interior is nice and up to date. The aisles are clearly marked and easy to navigate. The photo section is surprisingly large, considering so many folks use digital cams and print at home - and it's usually busy! I have been here many times and I have noticed that you are greeted, now, when you enter the store. Not only are you greeted, someone always says something to the effect of, "Please let us know if you need any help finding anything." Nice! The pharmacy is in the back to your right, from the entry door. the pharmacists have always been helpful and I've never waited long for help. They have good sales items, a good rewards plan, great selection on almost anything, friendly, helpful employees and good parking. Really, what's not to love? read more

Makeup section is always missing my Revlon concealer. To think of it, they most always are all out of whatever I need as far as makeup. Maybe I just use what most everyone uses? Idk. Happens all too often, at least every time I run out. When I DO find what I'm looking for, it's ALWAYS the last one and I hug it like I'm holding $100k in the middle of a dark alley full of drug addicts. They should supply the demand, especially since this is the ONLY CVS in my area. If they're out, it means I have to drag myself to Rite Aid which is typically more expensive, or I go to Target, which is all the way in Burbank. At least Target always has whatever I need. Sometimes (quite often actually), the coupon machine doesn't work. A tad annoying as you can save a lot of money using the Extra Bucks rewards. Staff isn't the fastest, but they ARE the kindest. Very friendly and helpful. I just wish they had a designated line area. There are stands in the way selling random stuff, so you have to block aisles to be in line. It IS a small store, but they could definitely move the misc. crap they have on those stands. I've never had a necessarily bad experience here, just walk out with nothing 6/10 times. I have never had any issues until I went to the pharmacy! I was told I'd receive a text within an hour but instead I had to call on my own 4 1/2 hours later to check in my prescription, I was then told yes it's ready ( bc she did it when I called) I get to the drive-thru, they see me, ignore me, I press the call button, she tells me my total, she gives me my prescription and card and never says one word other then my total! No thank you, have a good day, do you have any questions, here's your receipt! Nothing!! Never going back.
