Incredibly rude pharmacy manager who loves to hang up on customers because he is so busy

If you really enjoy being told in person- on a Friday morning- that your prescription will be ready that evening at 4pm, only to have your Rx still not ready on Monday Morning, then this is the pharmacy for you! If you want to be given a drug that not only wasn't what your doctor prescribed you, but also that you're HIGHLY allergic to (noted in your profile), then this is the pharmacy for you! If you want to call in a refill, be told that they have to call your doctor to fill it, but 4 days later when you check with your doctor, you're told that CVS still hasn't made even initial contact... well then this is the pharmacy for you! If you don't want your day ruined and your health at risk, I suggest going to another pharmacy. read more

I finally quit CVS! The Tiburon Service is legendarily terrible. This Monday I went to pick up my prescription and when the cost was higher than usual I asked why. He explained curtly that there were only two of them working and he didn't have time to look into it and I should come back some other time. I asked how long my scrip would stay on the shelf and he said "I have no idea," and again suggested I come back another time. I asked for a manager and he said there weren't any onsite. As I walked away I heard him say to the next customer, "why do I always get the difficult ones?" Fortunately he was wrong (or lied) about a Mgr being onsite. I let her know what happened and she said she would address it. I switched to Rite Aid yesterday. read more

Please install self checkout machines. The lines are extremely long, and the employees are... interesting. I just want to buy my items and leave, not stand around for 10 minutes and then have to engage with some weirdo. As another reviewer commented, the front of the store looks run down and gross. This is my local pharmacy and I hate to leave this review, but I have no clue why the staff here is so rude. Especially the pharmacy: there are always long lines, they don't make any effort to protect your information when it's your turn and they are always super rushed and make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. They once took weeks to fill something and never kept me updated, I had to keep calling or stopping by. Same goes for the front cashier staff, I think I've only had one experience where they were nice to me. Look, I'm not asking for much but this locations staff does not jibe with the Tiburon "everyone is a neighbor, so say hi" philosophy. They are generally discourteous and ill-mannered, that's not normal in the service industry. I just called to ask if my prescriptions were ready and instead of listening, he kept asking me to repeat myself. Had he listened when I provided the information that I SPELLED OUT, he'd have gotten it right the first time. Maybe they're understaffed but kindness costs nothing and understaffing is not an issue customers control. You can do better CVS, but right now, I'm underwhelmed. read more

This is the worst pharmacy you will ever see, poorly run and not nearly enough staff. The CVS app is way worse than Walgreens, it will autofill prescriptions you don't need and daily to fill the ones you so. Local CVS will tell you your scripts are ready and then not. The elderly population of Tiburon ensures you will wait in long lines just about every time. There are never enough knowledgeable people here. Use it when you need to buy stuff bit get your medicines elsewhere if you want to avoid frustration. read more

Ugh...I hate leaving a negative review, but the pharmacy here is painful to use. First getting my niece's antibiotic through them was going to take three days. That's kinda something you need to start immediately in a 3yo, but the lady pharmacist couldn't care less, complained endlessly, and wanted the child to wait, or for the doctor to order a different one. She wanted to dictate what medicine was given to a child with sensitivities and extreme allergies! I think the person with her medical file and medical degree should make the choices. Such as it is, my sister was done, but I returned for more punishment. That's when I came today to pick up a prescription that was transferred two days ago. It, naturally, was missing and the staff said she couldn't do anything about it that I had to wait on the pharmacist to return. That's right; this CVS pharmacy had no pharmacist in the building on a Saturday afternoon. So, I had the original pharmacy call this CVS to transfer the prescription again...the staff said they could not take the message and the out of state pharmacist had to call back and wait for Pharmacist Sheree Reed, as well. Oh and then the fun continues...as I finally get to check out with Reed, I ask if a discount card is applied, she repeats back over and over to me, "one is"...I explain that's not the newest one could she try the card I handed to her. She refuses to touch it and finally says she can't do it, explaining that I now have to wait for the assistant to get back...the girl I originally worked with. She was clearly angry. I said, "well don't blame me!" with a smile and a laugh; a pathetic attempt to lighten the mood. She literally blew out and stomped off; never saying a word. Fun party fact: this is the same pharmacist that was so rude and mean to my sister about my niece's antibiotic. Repeat offender. She's fake nice and then explodes. Her name is: Sheree Reed. Lord have mercy...try to get it done elsewhere, if you can. I have a headache just thinking about dealing with this team again. So sad; other CVS stores have been so handy! :( Total time: 54 mins for a simple pick up. 5 people in line. 2 people turned away (because pharmacist Reed couldn't check them out either). 1 person on hold on the phone for over 20 mins and still on hold when I left. Price at my hometown pharmacy: $6 Here: $26 and $19 with discount cards. Whatever, I'm just thrilled to leave this hot mess! The extra card did nothing; had Reed not been too lazy to learn how to simply check people out it would have saved me a half hour. read more

I was really impressed by this cvs compared to the one near home. The one near us always has these incredibly long long lines and you have to wait for about five minutes to get to the cashier. At this Cvs, when there were 3 people in line, the cashier called for another cashier to help out. The layout of this cvs was great too. It was also very clean and they had cool stuff. This pharmacy is embarressment to our community. I am a senior citizen fully insured with the best insurance money can buy. Most every time I go to pick up a prescription I am over charged. When I point it out and ask for correction I am immediately made wrong until I push to get the pharmacist involved and after research they discover I am right, however they continue to be rude, argumentative and to punishing me making me wait 45 minutes while they do a price correction. The counter people are rude, uninformed, arrogant and nasty. I just walked out after one clerk said he will charge me more in the future because he can...hard to believe. Very ignorant and arrogant response. I explained to him I just want the insurance benefits extended to me I have paid for but he has had no understanding of that, he never apologized and continued to criticize me. It took me 45 minutes to pick up a prescription that had been ready for two days, I was punished for challenging them. Pharmacist in charge was incompetent and passive. They deserve no stars and should be fired. I own a company with hundreds of employees and if an employee in a similar way they would be released immediately. read more

The worst service ever. After waiting for half an hour, they gave me wrong medicine, an old proscription.

The pharmacy is either understaffed or they refuse to work effectively. Maybe bad management of pharmacy staff. Three times I have entered my refills through their electronic/phone refill system, and it would over a week to process my prescription. These were for commonly used medications. I would change pharmacies in a minute if it wasn't so close to where I live. I hope store management reads my review and considers acting on it. I doubt that they will. read more

The CVS Tiburon Pharmacy is the worst ever. We are constantly notified that our Rx is available for pick up and then when we go to collect it they tell us it's not there or they can't find it! It's a special order Rx that has to be kept on ice and they can't find it!! The male head of the pharmacy sits in his box and yells to people rather than going to greet and loudly talking about staff and other customers! Once they found the Rx, my husband asked for the ice the Rx came with the same pharmacist told one of his team to go find something to keep him happy and rudely followed up with my husband "will thst make you happy!?" Following numerous times with this same type of servicewhen we pick-up his special CVS RX my husband asked how he could make a complaint about the service and the same head pharmacist gave him an email address and then told him "good luck" and laughed. Just appalling and unprofessional. It's like being punished for needing medication! read more

This rating does NOT apply to all CVS pharmacies as I've had good experiences at many others. I'm giving this particular CVS 2 stars in hopes that it makes the cutting board and other people get to read it. It gets the first star ONLY because their phone system actually works. The second one is because if i only give it one, Yelp will probably discard my review. I called to see if they had a medication in stock, which every other CVS I have called was out of for the next 3 days. A woman answered the phone, with an impatient tone of voice and asked me what i needed. I responded with what it was, to which she said "I can't give you that information over the phone". I told her every other CVS I talked to today had no problem giving me that information. She then said, "have you come here before? Are you myyyyy patient?" I told her I hadn't been to that particular CVS, but that I had been a CVS customer for many years. She said "that isn't my problem. You're not myyyyy patient" Really??? No I'm not your patient, and last i checked you're not a doctor to have "patients". I hope whoever this gentle lady is, has to have major surgery, runs out of a crucial medication and can't find it after calling over 40 pharmacies herself. I hope that she is in excruciating pain, to the point she can't get out of bed, and extremely sick because of it. And after that happens I hope someone is kind enough to her to give her information over the phone, so that she can get a medication she desperately needs. Maybe then, she will have a little more compassion for people other than her own self. Empathy, and all around niceness seems to be a rare commodity in the medical field, and especially pharmacists and their technicians. Can't believe I ever switched from Safeway Here's the details, Our Doc sent in a prescription at 1:30pm (cvs confirmed) and at a 6:00pm when I went to pick up they said that they were out of the medicine. I patiently asked them transfer the prescription to another cvs and they would not. Why didn't they call us? They said my doc had to enter a new script. to a new CVS. Seriously, C'mon , at 6 pm ? They are totally unprofessional, and do not care about your business. Had they told us earlier we could have asked our Doc. Can you believe that the pharmacist actually said we had 10 scripts to fill and could not help me. Unbelievable! Do what ever you can to avoid CVS pharmacy. Just opened. A major convenience!! Yea!!! Well stocked with pharmacy and sundry items plus food and drink. Bright and clean looking. Prices seem relatively reasonable. Very happy to have this in town. Great alternative to the louzy market that we have now. Only disappointment was a girl pharmicast who wasn't very nice. (we walked by the pharmacy, quickly checking out the store . . . and my sweet friend, Kate, just said hi to the girl - only to be polite in passing. Pharmacy girl snapped, "can't help you now, am with another customer.") Needless to say, they won't be getting our Rx account. But bottom line - a great addition to town. Worst pharmacy in Marin County. They simply do not pick up the phone. Over the course of two days I was on hold for 45 minutes listening to music while a recording periodically said "be with you momentarily, we busy helping other customers." Eventually I got in the car and drove down only to find pharmacy staff chatting each other up and not a single person in line. Then they told me a prescription called in two days earlier had not yet been filled. So I had to wait another 10 minutes. Will NEVER go back there. read more

This pharmacy has the worst on-hold music. It is easily 2-3 times louder than their voices and fuzzy. Have complained many times, but they say 'nothing can be done'. Also, on hold forever. They need more, friendlier staff. read more

Very disappointed in our local drugstore. I went to CVS in Tiburon at least three times to get the first of two shingle shots and they were always out of stock. I finally obtained it at another pharmacy. Several months later I went back to CVS in Tiburon to get my second shot. They had it in stock but were only giving it to people needing their second shingle shot. Because they didn't give me the first shot, they wouldn't give me the second shot. Outrageous. I try to support our town businesses because our population is small but cvs in tiburon apparently doesn't support us locals. I now drive out of town for my pharmaceutical needs. read more

I received a digital coupon for an item. Since I work nearby, I stopped in the CVS to specifically buy that item that I had the coupon for. At the cashiers, I put my items to be purchased on the belt and handed my CVS card to the cahsier. When I looked at the screen, my coupon had not been noted, so I told the cashier. He said, "it's too late, I already did it". No it wasn't. I had not even got my credit card near the scanner. At the other CVS stores, when I mention I have a coupon, they are able to check to see if I do indeed have a coupon and then put it through. This guy, PETER is just lazy. read more

They stop carrying an item you have gotten for years (in my case, my cat's favorite food) and just say tough luck... no effort to try and special order it for a long time customer...This is my local drugstore and i would have hoped they would care about the needs of their customers, but they either dont care or the corporate level doesnt care. read more

I actually enjoy visiting the pharmacy at the Tiburon CVS store. The staff has the best attitude and goes the extra mile for their customers. Shannon was delightful as was the rest of the department. I always seem to leave with a smile. Good work CVS! read more

6 months ago- I would have given this store 5 stars. Hands down it was THE best cvs in Marin county. And believe me, CVS as a whole is an absolute disaster. Every store interaction with the pharmacies require waits that make me wonder how this company hasn't been put into chapter 11 easily by a competitor who simply gets right what cvs seems always (with the exception of Tiburon store) to get wrong: don't make people wait unreasonable lengths of time, and support your staff with the tools necessary to show up to customers as pleasant people. Cvs Tiburon met and exceeded those standards until they lost their manager Marcus about six months ago from that point forward this store has been ABANDONED BY UPPER MANAGEMENT. The failure of management to hire a new pharmacy manager for months on end, leading to the pharmacy running out of medications and being unable to order new supplies without a manager is absolutely unacceptable. I don't know how they answer to their shareholders when they let a store that was once a crown jewel simply wither and die without any leadership accountability. The pharmacy employees like neil and Lindella are outstanding but when you place people in situations where they don't have what they need to do their job, they become stressed and unhappy and the clients can tell. It is not the fault of the employees, but the rather a failure of leadership within the company. They should have had a new hire and support staff in there within hours, because they have the size and resources to do so. But did they do that? Did they support their beleaguered and normally wonderful pharmacy staff? No. CVS MANAGEMENT FAILED THEIR EMPLOYEES AND FAILED THEIR CUSTOMERS. Due to a surgery and ongoing medical treatment I spent $4,000 at cvs pharmacies last year. If CVS MANAGEMENT DOESN'T step up and support their employees to bring back a pleasant client experience: my four thousand dollars will be going to Walgreens. As an example of my recent frustrations I've included a screen shot of one of the MANY times I've recently been placed on ridiculously long holds only to hang up in frustration. Someone did something right hiring Marcus, John, Neil and Lindella. Maybe that person ought to be elevated to a leadership role to hire a new executive team, because this one is a failure. read more

The employees obviously don't want to be there, but are too bitter and lazy to get anything better...so, they take out their frustration on customers with a passive aggressive, snarky attitude. The Tiburon CVS thinks they have a captive audience. Wait until you try to get a prescription filled. I am a cancer patient going thru chemo. The pain meds and anti nausea meds are the most important. They carry no stock. I have been waiting 5 days for my anti nausea only to find out they can only give me a few, I guess thinking they might get some in. This now happens every time I try to get a refill. None available at CVS unless I drive to SF. Their could care less attitude is unbelievable. They need to be put out of business. I will get all new prescriptions from the doctor and give Rite Aid in Mill Valley a try. read more

The customer service in this drug store is phenomenal. I brought my dog in earlier today and the assist. manager quickly commented on how cute my dog was. He quickly then mentioned that if I didn't bring a leash they could sell me one. Very polite and creative! Made sure we were happy and taken care of and also extrememly caring for other customers and their requirements. Wow! read more

Unwelcoming atmosphere. They carry many things woodlands does not so I shop there frequently. However many of the staff have a very unpleasant attitude, and one man in particular who is balding and seems to be in his late 40s is especially rude. He would always follow me and my friends around because he thought we would steal something. There is also cobwebs on every isle number, making it pretty obvious that cleaning is not of high priority. I don't know if she works there anymore, but one time I was sitting outside with my friend and we saw one of the cashiers come outside and dig through the dirt for cigarettes. Very disgusting and she was obviously not concerned about us seeing her. They have a nice selection of items but customer service is bad. Don't even get me started on the pharmacy. read more
