This CVS Pharmacy is a bit run down and reminds me of when I used to close at the remote little Rite Aid I worked for. We dropped in for a couple items (they have a ton of parking) and were also able to use the nicer restroom in the back before our trip home. your phone bot makes it impossible to get to a human being without answering a bunch of questions that don't apply (it's function, i suppose). you need to have an option to just speak to someone (or leave a message). i was pulling my hair out trying to get through the voice mail swamp and then the call dropped and i got to do it all again. this is not customer service. read more

I am standing here watching the pharmacy employees attempting to locate a lost prescription. All of them, frantically searching the tiny little racks and scurrying like hamsters (I am imagining the Benny Hill theme song as I watch) as the line gets longer and looooonger. Not one looking while the other handles customers...apparently this is how they get their exercise. Yay! Finally one proudly holds the missing bottle aloft! We're saved! Two long people later, I'm now told they have no record of my refills, which I had ordered online for convenience. Now they got my birthdate wrong after I've said it at least 3 times...maybe there is something for me, after all! (Cliffhanger music) Now there's only one employee and he's searching the racks...wait! Yes! Here it is! Ring it up...almost done...so close..."Do you have insurance?" "Yes, you have my insurance because I've been forced to come to this pharmacy for years." "Well do you have your card with you? I don't see it." Watch floor employee come up and gossip with pharmacy staff about employee who quit (shock!) while pretending to check my insurance. "We can give you a pill of each while we wait to verify the insurance you've had on file here for literally years. Would you like a pill of each?" Yeah, sure, let me take all my medication, why not, YOLO right?! Sorry for the lengthy review, but this is basically real time as I type this out and each thing is so much dumber than the last that I feel compelled to record it for posterity. Leaving with 2(!) pills of each prescription, approximately 36 minutes, 6:36pm 8-18-23, I will pray for the 3 people in line behind me because they close at 7 lol. read more

On 06/28/24 on or around 405PM - A Very rude pharmacy staff that doesnt even introduce his name. I am sick and trying to inquire availability of my medication that was ordered since this morning and he said " you wait an hour and if you let me work on it then I'll tell you to pick it up then he hang up the phone on a sick customer ! I have never been to this CVS before but I had the chance when I was able to schedule a Covid booster & flu shot here. It's easy to park, all the staff were friendly & helpful. I was seen & jabbed at precisely the time I had reserved. Because you have to stick around for 15 minutes I had plenty of time to see how helpful & eager the pharmacy staff was to help other customers. So all in all, this is a good CVS from what I can see. read more

The people who work here are amazing! I was in the store today and was helped by a lovely woman who saw me with my items spilling over in my arms. She saw that I was in need of a basket (always!) and so she went and got one for me, complete with a fresh wipe of the handle before she offered it to me. So nice. And then after I got home I realized that I had left one of my purchases in the self check out area. I called for help to locate the missing item and again, I was met with such a helpful and nice woman. I really appreciate the great, friendly customer service from the good people at this CVS. Above and beyond! Five stars! PS - they also had every single thing I needed and could not find elsewhere, like my allergy meds. During all this Coronavirus chaos, all the supermarkets and Costcos are getting swamped. People are stocking up on toilet paper, canned goods, etc. It's crazy. Nothing like I've ever seen before. So I'll let you in on a secret - this Mill Valley CVS is open 7 days a week and never has long lines. So if you don't need to purchase produce or meat, you can pretty much get everything else at this store (dairy, eggs, water, batteries, pet food, canned goods, toothpaste, soap, medication, etc.). Though I will concede that they didn't have any toilet paper on my most recent visit. And since we are about to embark on a 2-3 week "shelter in place"/house arrest, we might as well enjoy a few drinks and get comfy, right? Fortunately, this CVS has a surprisingly decent beer/liquor department. So if you need to pick up a 6-pack, bottle of wine, or your favorite cocktail mixers to get you through this crazy time, CVS has you covered. Hope this review/info helps. The pharmacy here is shockingly bad. The line seems long no matter what time of day you go, and there is never more than one attendant. The counter is filthy (behind the giant sneeze guard) and I watched a clerk repeatedly bang a mouse on the table to try and get an ancient looking terminal to work. The staff look exhausted and frazzled. A pharmacist (or clerk) outright lied to me about whether they had something in stock, I think to reduce the line, and I really don't blame them. When everyone was frantically searching for the first covid vaccine people were traveling to other cities to just get an appointment. Because of my zip code I could only book in San Francisco. Rite aid had a cancellation and booked me in, no waiting after my appointment date I was through in 15 minutes, clean, not crowded and a separate room to be in. Horrid, abusive service. Went to get a prescription my doctor called in on the doctor line. Went a couple days later to pick it up because I know this pharmacy is slow and I figured two days would be fine. Got there and not only did they not have it, the rudest guy behind the pharmacy counter sneered at me, mocked me, and was sarcastic to me. I asked him to check and he huffed off to another computer. I did not know whether to follow him so I did and he had printed out all my prescriptions, literally shoved it in my face and said see, it's not here. He never asked anyone. He never checked the doctor messages. He was just rude, demeaning, and horrible. I don't know if he doesn't like his job or doesn't like women but I do know I have transferred all of my prescriptions and will never set foot in that CVS again. I gave up on CVS in Bon Air; NOT because of the general store but the incompetency of the pharmacy staff. I switched to the Mill Valley CVS on Blithedale and the pharmacy service was good for a few months. Now (12/4/21) it's descended into madness. Don't try to call unless you have an hour or two to be on hold. Even my doctor can't get through. Even CVS CORPORATE can't get through. Prescriptions don't match the CVS app as in drug amount or state of your prescription pickup readiness. Long lines taking 20+ minutes are common when trying to pick up. Even the pharmacist is forced to ring up customers. The current pharmacy manager is unprofessional and defended his store by stating "Gee, we're doing the best we can." So who cares if the customers are completely out of their meds? Don't bother complaining to CVS Corporate; nothing seems to change. Hoping my new medical plan includes ANY pharmacy that's not CVS. read more

I've had great experiences with this pharmacy. Since Covid began they, like every other business in most parts of the world, have been overwhelmed with closures, higher demand, staffing shortages, etc. Each time there has been an "inconvenience" I have found that the staff did not complain to me or give "excuses" but have always remained pleasant and helpful (even as I've had to wait a bit longer and/or behave like an adult.) This review is an update to my previous review on February 21st. Still no response from the CEO at CVS therefore, one must assume that it is a CVS corporate policy to intentionally mislead the public about covid tests. There are two sets of tests sold at CVS, one at the front retail counter and one at the pharmacy which accepts health insurance (the front counter doesn't accept insurance). The non-insurance cost is $70 higher than the insurance cost at the pharmacy, but the retail and pharmacy people don't tell you any of that. read more

Beware! The worst pharmacy of all. They don't answer their phones and are highly incompetent and rude. Jenny the pharmacist should be fired. One of my prescriptions was on "back order" for 45 days , the other one 15 days. It took Omar the store manager, a nice guy, to figure out that the medications were indeed in stock, but were just not filled. Sitting there for 1 1/2 hours, about 50% of the customers had similar experiences and complaints. Find a better location!! read more

I went to pick my order, I had received a confirmation email a day ahead that the product had arrived at the store and the tracking link showed it clearly as delivered at the store. The personnel and the manager at the store were extremely unhelpful, obviously they misplaced it and could not find it, however, they did not try to look for it much or offer a solution. They just let me stand there and wait until I came to the realization that they were not looking for it at all. The manager did not want to have anything to do with me, he did not give me any information, he did not provide any help or solution and just went off to do other stuff although the cashier asked him several times. I made an extra trip to the store in the late afternoon traffic just to be dismissed by extremely unhelpful personnel. I do NOT ever plan on going back there again. Tjis review is for store only not the pharmacy. I've been going to this location for over 6+ years. The employees are great the managers are great. Nice friendly service. The only thing is within the past 5-7 times I have visited, it seems the prices are off. The tag will say one thing but rings up as a totally different price at the cash register. If you tell them, they will scan at thenregisternor at the kiosk and won't go check. I've taken pictures of the item and their discrepancies showed them and theu will still try to ring it up as the new price. They don't even bother to go and check. I mean it's mere cents but it's the principal. I hope they get this problem solved quick. read more

The pharmacy service at CVS Mill Valley has really gone downhill. I've been filling prescriptions there for years but quite often they are understaffed and there are long lines. Recently I've had the misfortune of dealing with a woman who works in the pharmacy named Inna. Not only did she give out incorrect information today, (she said I only got a half refill on a medication which as it turned out, they filled 29 of 30 tabs), she is seriously lacking in how to relate to customers. At one point, she had the nerve to address me as "my little friend" which was totally inappropriate and I told her so. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

The pharmacy needs to organize and trains staff for professional customer services. They made me come back for several trips to get my medicine. Give out the wrong information for refill and simply all staff are not consistent to give out the information. One of the staff did not let me return the medicine, because I step on the side to look at my medicines while let she helped the next customer. Medicines are very important to patients, please let someone that care and has a great responsibility for this position at the Pharmacy counter. read more

What a dump. They sell everything including CANCER. I recently received a vaccine shot, and while waiting for injection, i noticed a display of various household items for sale. One such item was a couple of squirt bottles or ROUNDUP. People ROUNDUP IS A CANCER CAUSING AGENT. And , this is being sold under your noses at cvs. Pharmacy. Pharmacy experience so bad I'm taking the time to write a bad review. Went to pick up a prescription and there was no one in line. People in the back saw me, said nothing. Person at pick up counter ignored me so I thought she was busy. I went to the drop off window where the person at the counter said "the pick up counter will help you". I said "apparently not, because they haven't spoken to me". Finally get my prescription, which was waiting in a bin, very easy. Drive the 2.5hrs home and discover that my paid in full w/o insurance 60 pill prescription contains 30 PILLS! Nothing they can do other than give me the rest when I come in again. A horrible pharmacy. This review has been a long time coming. I have dozens of *very* negative experiences here. The latest was 2 days ago. My doctor sent a prescription at 11 am for an urgent medical issue. I came to CVS at 12 pm, they said they didn't receive the prescription and that "the pharmacist will fix this" ("Fix what?!"). Knowing that they are incompetent, I demanded to see their screen with my name's spelling to make sure they got it right. Instead of showing me their screen, they asked me to spell my name again, and poof, they did receive my prescription, but it's not filled. "Come back later". When? No set time. I insisted they fill it immediately, as my problem was urgent. Long story short, it took 2 more hours, I had to drive to Rite Aid in San Rafael dinally to get my medicine. This CVS is messed up. It's been this way for years. It needs to be razed down to the ground and start again. This time - with competence, professionalism, promptness. read more

She spent 45 minutes looking and they did not want to assist whatsoever until a pharmacist named Stephanie kindly helped her while just retuning to her shift. I am so lividly angry with this location right now! Since thus Monday, I've been trying to get my singular prescription filled. At first, they said they don't have it in stock, even though my doctor had said they did. I came back today (Wednesday) after I got a text announcement saying my prescription had been filled. I wasted half my lunch break waiting in line, since they only had one person helping out (they should staff more people, there is always a line there it seems) only to find out that they hadn't "unboxed and checked my med in yet". Fine, so I came back at 6pm this evening to pick it up. Again, a 3-4 person line. When it was my turn, the girl behind the counter had to go "check in" my med, since they hadn't done it yet. 10 minutes later, I finally get my med and leave....only to find THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG MED! I don't want to go back to this location, but I need to prescription. I highly recommend you don't frequent this location; go to the one up in San Rafael, they are MUCH better up there! read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to! Only one person behind pharmacy desk, the waiting time (for me) has been over 25 minutes at a time. I dropped off my prescription last week and have been getting texts to tell me it's ready so I finally went in and they said that they forgot one and to wait 15 more minutes. That would've been 45 minutes total waiting! Then I go back and the pharmacist said there was no date on the latter one. I raised my voice a little and told the woman that I'm leaving CVS for good!
