In the middle of the call, she put me on hold and said she'd be right back. Instead, she went to lunch (I stayed on the line for 10 minutes, hoping she would return). I finally hung up. I had another appointment 6 months ago, showed up on-time, and waited 45 minutes to be seen. I do not recommend them. read more

I decided to try this location bc it was closer to where I worked and wouldn't need to miss any time. Wait was not long. There were two Techs there. The elder of the two, called me back within 15 min. He prepped for the draw, but he seemed to have trouble locating a good vein on my arm. He decided to draw from a vein on my bicep. I've had blood draws before, but never had anyone draw from this site, ever. This seemed unusual, but I didn't question it and let him continue. He drew 2 vials and removed the tourniquet. He then went to print the vial labels. Which was also unusual. From experience, other places would print the vial labels before the draw, alerting the Tech to which tops to draw and how many. Three labels spat out, which was based on my lab order. He then realized he was supposed to draw 3 vials instead of 2, so he had to re-stick me again for the 3rd vial. He apologized for the error. I left thinking that whole experience was unusual. After a few hours, I noticed the draw site was starting to bruise and swell. The next day, the site is fully bruised, deep dark purple in color and more swollen than the day before. The vein must've blown. Definitely going to "stick" with my usual LabCorp site in Vallejo from now on. read more

Weeks ago I made an appointment at LabCorps for 8 a.m. today. I arrived, fasting, at the lab at 7:50; the waiting area was crowded with people. After about half an hour, I finally saw a person to ask when I could expect to be seen; she said "we're backed up," but offered no apology. She said I would be seen "in about an hour." At 8:53 I received a text saying I would be called in. I had already left. One of the other (im)patients at the lab said that yesterday the lab closed even though people had confirmed appointments. He and his wife had been there for an hour; she was finally seen at 8:20 although they had a 7:15 appointment. Why is LabCorps doing this? It's completely unacceptable and I will not return there. In addition to this experience today, I have routinely had trouble with their check-in process. You'd think they'd remember me after going to that lab four times a year for several years. Xavier is incredibly competent. He's working the front with so many people coming in (there was already 6 people when I arrive) plus drawing blood in between administrative breaks. This place is clearly understaffed, but Xavier is one of the most efficient people I've ever seen. And kind! Amazing place to have lab work done. They take pretty much all insurance but Kaiser and you will be in and out in no time. If your doctor wants to send you to Marin General Hospital lab or some other hospital affiliated lab, tell him or her you'd rather have blood drawn at this free standing site. You won't regret it. Far less expensive for self pay patients than hospital lab and for those with PPO, far less $s will hit your deductible. I've always been able to walk in and out in less than 15 minutes. Every phlobobotomist has been friendly, fast & relatively pain-free other than that initial pin-prick. LabCorp can be busy in the morning, and very bad traffic jams after 2;30pm so leave more driving time than you think. Labcorp took a week to get an appointment on their online portal. Upon arriving I was informed that they didn't know what my lab request was from my doctor and I would need my doctor to refax. I'm incredibly frustrated because they've had the order for over a week, so if they had questions, maybe they should have contacted me or my doctor prior to the moment my name was called for the draw? I took time off work, drove a half hour and waited to get this test only to be told they wouldn't be able to help me and to come back another day. Especially in a pandemic, when their hours are not conducive to people who have traditional jobs, making someone who followed the proper procedures take another hour out of their work day (especially when they may be high risk) seems incredibly irresponsible. read more

First time I visited this LabCorp there were several people waiting in and outside the office, with no clear way of how patients were called in, given that some had appointments while others didn't. Staff unfriendly and not very happy to answer questions. The phlebotomist left an angry bruise on my arm. Received results in 1 day -- only problem is 3 TEST RESULTS WERE MISSING!!! Forced to return to have additional tests completed. Double checked with staff to make sure all tests would be completed. Staff was curt, enumerating the 4 tests ordered. Received test results in 1 day -- lo and behold -- again, 1 test result was missing. Is this normal practice? Does not inspire confidence in their test results, to say the least. Although this place is well situated among the various medical groups in the Larkspur area, they have a hard time keeping up with the number of patients. I called to get an appointment as was told that I did not need one. I went in this morning to get a basic screen that needed fasting and I arrived at 7:50 in order to get it done before getting to work. There was a line of people waiting to be seen. At 8:20, thirty minutes after I signed in, no one had spoken to me and another person who had been called with an appointment was told they couldn't do the test because they did not have sufficient supplies. There were still four people ahead of me waiting and appointments were taken first, meaning I could get bumped down the list at any point. Maybe Mondays are worse than other days. Maybe the staff of one desk person and one phlebotomist is usually enough or maybe someone called in sick. I'll ask my doc if there's a better place to go to that can handle the number of people in the waiting room. read more

I really like the phlebotomists here, they're all very friendly and patient with me (I have a fear of needles). I had no issues with waiting, but that may be because I set appointments and didn't do walk-ins. I showed up a half hour late the last time and they still got me through quite quickly. I would have given them five stars if it weren't for the woman at the front desk. I believe she is French (based on her accent), blonde, and very insensitive. She was rude and had no pleasantries. When she called me up to her desk, instead of saying my name (which was right in front of her written in very clear print), she just started saying, "2:30" over and over (that was my appointment time). I didn't know what she meant, so she glared at me as though I was intentionally ignoring her. What made matters worse was that after me she called everyone else by their name. It was as though I didn't warrant being treated like a person and only deserved a number. However, when she did say peoples' names, she often mispronounced them. One patient corrected her (very politely), and she seemed to intentionally continue to mispronounce her name out of spite. It's too bad she's there, because the rest of the staff is great. But since she's the first person you see and deal with, it can really leave a bad taste in your mouth. read more

My husband just went here to get his drug test done for his job. First off he tried calling multiple times to get info in when he should go and if he needs an appt but NO ONE EVER PICKED UP THE PHONE! So he just decided to go at 1:00. He got there at 1pm and was told that the tech that does the drug screening wasn't coming back from lunch until 1:20. Once she got back from lunch and did his test he got little to no instructions on what to do and was left in the bathroom with a cup and a key. He wasn't told what to do with his sample and he assumed the key was for his personal belongings. He received TERRIBLE service from the very beginning to the very end! read more

I didn't even need an appointment. I just walked in and signed my name on the check in sheet. The service was very quick but I guess it depends on what time of day you go there. After the plethora of doctor visits and my hospital stay in August I know now that I prefer to get my blood drawn from the vein in my hand. Apparently that's a weird request but it hurts WAY less compared to getting blood drawn from the usual place on the arm. The person who took my blood was extremely nice. She listened to me when I said I wanted the blood drawn from my hand instead of arm. It went extremely smooth. It wasn't even painful at all and it was over before I knew it. And! Prior to today, I wouldn't have thought that anyone could make a 2 hour fasting glucose test a positive experience. Then I met Charrice at the Greenbrae Labcorp. What a lovely lady! I watched and listened as Charrice welcomed several patients to her area for their procedures. She was friendly, attentive, and caring with each person. She balanced humor and professionalism to give each patient a personalized experience while managing to still be efficient. I overheard her calming a nervous child who was afraid of needles. The boy was giggling and connecting with her over his Apple watch before long. Charrice is a tremendous asset to Labcorp and she deserves a commendation for the level of service, human and clinical, she provides. read more

The worst customer service! I am 7 months pregnant, having a time sensitive glucose test. Was told to arrive 15 minutes prior and inform the front desk of this, which I did. The lady at the front desk (heavy accent) told me that there were two people ahead of me with appointments and they would be not be able to draw my blood in time to meet the deadline time sensitive test and that I should have made an appointment! I told her that this is the 2nd time I have had this test and have never had issues in the past which she just shrugged her shoulders and once again said I should have made an appointment. To say the least I left in tears, went across the street to Quest Labs and they took my blood immediately. They also informed me that every lab has a protocol that they must follow and anyone who comes in with orders for a time sensitive test takes priority over all walk ins and appointments. She said LabCorp completely broke protocol and that I should report them which I will be doing! Shame on you LabCorp! read more

I haven't been to another LabCorp location to I have no baseline to compare to. But I was selected for a urine drug test, and the only LabCorp that does pre-employment drug screening around Berkeley is either in SF, San Ramon, or Greenbrae. This location ROCKS. I had done a pre-employment drug screen before in Oakland and I had to wait 1 hr to pee in a cup. My experience here was wildly different. I walked in at 10:30am on a Friday morning and the lab was empty! The phlebotomist processed my drug screen and a separate bloodwork order (non-employment related) very quickly. Draw blood, go pee in a cup, and I'm out of there within 15 minutes. I'm so happy I came here instead of driving to SF, where I would probably have waited ages until my orders were processed. P.S. I hate peeing in a cup. read more

Such a pleasant surprise! I wasn't sure how smoothly my appointment would go. I don't have health insurance, I know...me and how many other people? Therefore, it is very important to me to be careful of needless charges. I did some research and found HealthOne Inc online and ordered my own labs! The whole process was so easy. I received an email confirmation from HealthOne and just scheduled an appt with Lab Corps. online as well. This location is down the street from Marin General. Plenty of street parking as well as behind the building. I checked in and waited about 5 min. The office is so clean and the staff were nice. I wasn't sure if there would be an additional fee for the lab draw but there wasn't! I have a doctor's appt on Tuesday, so I will be able to go with my lab results in hand! I am definitely going to do this anytime I need labs in the future. By the way, I saved over $200 by doing it this way. Awesome! read more

Don't know what is up with the bad reviews, I've been here on about four separate occasions and have found the staff and especially the phlebotomists (often there are two phlebotomists here in my experience) to be VERY friendly. I HATE having blood drawn and every phlebotomist has been patient, kind, and gentle with me. The longest I've had to wait was about 10 min (without an appt) and the shortest was about 1-2 min. I even told my doc to tell patients to come here because I've gone to other Labcorps that were staffed by the slow and incompetent. If you have to have bloodwork, this is the gentlest, friendliest place around! read more

She stares at the computer like a deer in the headlights not knowing what to do. Expect to wait two hours or more even if fasting. Don't waste your time or money at this place.
