I decided to try this location bc it was closer to where I worked and wouldn't need to miss any time. Wait was not long. There were two Techs there. The elder of the two, called me back within 15 min. He prepped for the draw, but he seemed to have trouble locating a good vein on my arm. He decided to draw from a vein on my bicep. I've had blood draws before, but never had anyone draw from this site, ever. This seemed unusual, but I didn't question it and let him continue. He drew 2 vials and removed the tourniquet. He then went to print the vial labels. Which was also unusual. From experience, other places would print the vial labels before the draw, alerting the Tech to which tops to draw and how many. Three labels spat out, which was based on my lab order. He then realized he was supposed to draw 3 vials instead of 2, so he had to re-stick me again for the 3rd vial. He apologized for the error. I left thinking that whole experience was unusual. After a few hours, I noticed the draw site was starting to bruise and swell. The next day, the site is fully bruised, deep dark purple in color and more swollen than the day before. The vein must've blown. Definitely going to "stick" with my usual LabCorp site in Vallejo from now on.

Amazing place to have lab work done. They take pretty much all insurance but Kaiser and you will be in and out in no time. If your doctor wants to send you to Marin General Hospital lab or some other hospital affiliated lab, tell him or her you'd rather have blood drawn at this free standing site. You won't regret it. Far less expensive for self pay patients than hospital lab and for those with PPO, far less $s will hit your deductible. I've always been able to walk in and out in less than 15 minutes. Also, go here and register to see your lab results. Your results will appear a few days after your blood is drawn: https://www.labcorp.com/results Your referring physician will receive the results at his/her office as well.

They are so slow and I waited for over 40 minutes past our scheduled appointment. They even called up people that checked in after us.

It was not lit and clearly disgusting. There were no open appointments for three weeks and desperately needed to get this done so had to try to walk in. When you walk in it's all automated so you just sign up and wait. We got there at 11 am and they close at 12 (Saturday). At 11:30 someone who works there comes out and says they will not be servicing anyone after 11:50. At that point we are #6 in line so probably not happening. They come out again at 11:47 to say no one else is getting in. They were kind of rude in how they talked to everyone in the waiting area. Why we had to wait for 30 minutes to find this out is beyond me. There has to be a better way. They could tell you this when you first register.

I was one minute late, but my appointment was cancelled because I didn't check in early. The grace period is 30 seconds. The kiosk for check was so slow due to lack of Internet service or its age. If more than one person was working, I never saw the other person.

The ED does some things very well: a dedicated nurse and doctor who triage each patient together; very friendly security guards who are helpful; polite and helpful registration people; and a separate room for families or individuals who need a dark, quiet place to wait. What is evident is: everything is resource constrained from parking to staff to chairs, to rooms, beds, doctors, nurses, etc. Some people seem to be here as if it's a convenient place to meet after tennis with the added benefit that they can get a shot for pain management. Others are splayed across sofas groaning and have been for the three hours we have been waiting for my husband to be seen for a stroke. My rating would be lower if everyone working in the ED wasn't hustling and very pleasant. They are all extremely dedicated to helping others. But, it is frustrating that resources are choked at some point and when your loved one needs emergency care that bottle neck is a huge problem.

This is an incredible service for anyone who is sick, homebound, or simply unable to get what they need done at a lab. In my case, the lab actually wouldn't do the bloodwork I needed to donate a kidney, so having someone come to me made the whole process possible. Charity was professional, very communicative, and incredibly gentle and kind during the draw. She made me feel at ease and took care of everything (she came to my house, drew my blood and even took my bloodwork to FedEx for dropoff) I plan on using her services in the future not only for myself, but also for my kids. Having someone trustworthy and skilled come to the house is such a relief! Highly recommended.
