Oh, this CVS will live in infamy. I generally like to go to CVS for little snacks when I am out and about and just need a few crackers, a yogurt, or some individual portions of cheese. I go into this CVS looking for snacks, particularly cheese (because, as you know, I love it). Not finding any cheese, I pick up some pretzels. The cashier asks me "Did you find everything you were looking for?" I say no, actually, I was looking for some cheese. SUPER sketchy dude replies, "Oh, we don't sell cheese here, but I have five varieties of cheddar back at my house". UGH. read more

The telephone system is horrific; you cannot speak with a human, and if your issue does not fit into their narrow choice of "categories," you have no way of connecting with anyone who can address your concern. Store manger was hiding in the aisles to scare an arriving employee. That activity is totally fine (IMO) outside of business hours. Might even do it myself! However, not during business hours with customers in the store. Unprofessional and puts everyone on guard when an employee yells for no reason. read more

Nina from the Pharmacy is very rude, lazy and talks down to people. When I went to pick up my medication, she behaved like I bothering her. When I asked questions, she snapped at me to read my receipt. In my opinion, Nina has horrific "bed side manners" and seems to hate customers. She is not customer service oriented and probably should be fired since I never want to visit a CVS store again because of her. read more

Through the app on Monday February 3 2025 I asked for my prescription to be mailed as I don't drive. It indicated delivery on Wednesday the 5th which would have worked just being out that day of my prescription. Now I am finding out that it wasn't "picked up" until the 5th with the pharmacy blaming USPS. I don't buy it as the Post Office is in the same center a few hundred feet away. Yesterday I was told I would get it today and today I am being told I will get it tomorrow. I asked if they could arrange for me to pick up a couple of pills at the CVS pharmacy that I could walk to and the response I got was well I could call the pharmacy. read more

CVS is the worst pharmacy in the US. No one ever picks up the phone. It is always a hassle. I don't get my prescriptions filled there, I go to Costco, which is a million times better. They answer the phone and always have prescriptions ready. I just went in for a COVID booster appointment at this CVS and I was told they were back ordered. They said they sent me a text this morning which I never received instead I got a message to remind me of my appointment. This is the worst customer service retail store ever. I agree with what most people have said about the pharmacy. They are the worst and so unhelpful. If they can't fill a prescription they don't tell you. If they are out of a medication they won't even offer to call another store. I have never had a good or even decent experience with their pharmacy. I'll be leaving the area soon and hopefully will have other options to CVS. read more

Staff are friendly. Yet, they seem to be all over the place. Unorganized. It takes awhile for them to answer the phone. Sometimes I give up and drive to the store to stand in line for 15 minutes for them to tell me my prescription isn't ready. They definitely need more staff. read more

We had two bad experiences recently. We will go elsewhere. They don't answer the phone and take hours to fill a prescription.

My doctor sent in a prescription that needed to be taken before I was scheduled for a particular treatment at the hospital. That was done on the Thursday before my treatment was scheduled for the upcoming Thursday. The medication needed to be taken a day prior, so I needed it by Weds. CVS received the script that Thursday, and did absolutely Nothing !! Since I did not hear from CVS regarding this prescription, I followed up with my Doctor, who sent in a second request to CVS, Sudbury, MA to have this filled. That was received on Monday, and once again NOTHING WAS DONE ! On Monday afternoon, I went to the store and met with Roma, the pharmacist who then informed me that this is a "specialty" drug and could not be filled at that location. So Roma...... exactly when did you plan of advising me that this important medication was not able to be filled at the CVS Sudbury ?? The aggravation only gets exasperated with Roma's complete, non empathic attitude. She was also not very helpful in advising me what needed to be done in order for this prescription to be filled. Very frustrating. CVS completely ignored my doctors request twice, to fill an important drug that I needed prior to my treatment. It was in their system, but they chose to not inform me or anyone else that it could not be completed at the Sudbury location. I find this situation to be totally unprofessional, unethical and completely irresponsible. Needless to say CVS will not be my pharmacy any longer. read more

Never and I do mean never use the photo service at this CVS. I waited over 4 months for my photos (recently widowed these photos were inestimable precious to me) only to be told they hadn't come in yet. Then I was told they had come in, but no one had opened the fed ex envelope and they were there.for me to pick up. When I went to get them, again no one could find them I called again today and I was told 'they had been recycled. ' in other words, they had thrown my photos away. This after innumerable trips to the store and countless phone calls. They claimed they had called me which was a lie as they had not, not in February, not in March and not in April. I have never been treated more shabbily in my life. i am also heartbroken as these photos were irreplaceable. read more

I've lived in this town for 20 years and the pharmacy at this store has consistently been THE WORST! RUDE, understaffed, unhelpful. One time, my husband witnessed a guy behind the counter giving the finger to a departing customers' back. I'm forced to use this pharmacy because my company prescription service is...CVS Caremark so for maintenance scripts we have to use CVS. For all others I try to remember to use Rite Aid in town which is far less crowded and the pharmacists are helpful and friendly. I'm sick today and forgot to say Rite Aid at the Drs. office and now it is 4 hours later and I still don't have my script due to supposed "systems issues." I went on the website to see if I could file a complaint, NOPE. I think I'll try the Maynard CVS here on out. read more

This is the worst pharmacy in Sudbury- go fill your prescriptions elsewhere. Nearly every time I get a text message saying my prescription is ready, I then go to pick it up and they say its not ready. I then have to wait 30+ minutes for a prescription that should've already been filled. I've had doctors send over scripts, and then two days later I'll go to pick it up and it still hasn't been filled. Most of the time I go there the pharmacists and techs behind the counter are goofing off and laughing. The people behind the counter are also rude, they don't care if you have to wait a ridiculous amount of time just for a cream to be put in to a bag and are inconvenienced. The last time I was there I asked "why do I keep getting text messages saying my prescription is ready when they aren't?" and the woman literally just rolled her eyes and walked away from the counter. WORST CVS, will never step foot in there again. I arrived and front door was locked, was told computer systems were down. I had made an appointment for a flu shot, waited in line and was told they were still giving them out. Checked in, waited another 30 minutes and was told I would not be getting my shot and to try a different CVS. Unbelievably bad and rude service throughout. I always have a problem with this pharmacy every time I go. I went to pick up a prescription and was told to wait 20 minutes even though I had given them an hour before heading over. I waited 20 minutes and came back and they hadn't even started it yet. Tonight I picked up a prescription that I really needed all for them to tell me their system was down and I had to come back tomorrow. I will be changing to somewhere else. read more

When we first started using this pharmacy, they were good, responsive, and caring. Now, they are overcrowded, make you wait for everything, don't fill prescriptions on time, hardly speak English, and don't seem to give a crap about the customers. I spent45 minutes on the phone waiting with that annoying hold music 3 times to try and get in touch with someone at the pharmacy!! Then the audacity when I went to pick up my prescriptions the pharmacist was rude to me! I just couldn't handle the abaolute unprofessionalism of this pharmacy. I switched to Sudbury Pharmacy and I am very glad with my choice because they offer contactless curbside pickup unlike CVS where I have to open my window to talk to them and grab my prescription CvS Sudbury doesn't deserve the hundreds of dollars I spend on prescriptions every month and it will go to the deserving business that actually has good customer service and no phone wait times! This CVS was convenient, once. But less convenient now they they are no longer 24 hours. They never have enough people working the registers so people queue up. I bet half the people give up and leave their baskets unpurchased. So they hire people to put things back. Would make sense if they had people working the register in the first place read more

The service at this CVS pharmacy is horrendous. Almost every single time I refill a prescription here it becomes a nightmare and I don't ever feel any genuine concern for my inconvenience and frustration. Here is a list of all the issues both my husband and I have experienced on a regular basis... 1. Prescriptions not ready on time (or not filled at all) when requested 2. Unfriendly and rude employees 3. Wrong prescriptions filled 4. They never request refills from my doctor when they say they are going to and I've double-checked with my doctor's office. 5. Several times they filled prescriptions for wrong number of pills and made me pay a 2nd co-pay when I came back to get the rest. I disputed the charge but they refused to waive it. 6. Often they have 5 or 6 employees working (or chatting) in the pharmacy area and there is no sense of urgency to help customers waiting at the register, even when there is a long line. ...and I'd have to say the thing that frustrates me the most is that whenever I have a problem for errors THEY made, the staff always makes me feel as if I am bothering them. If you're curious what a slovenly, unreliable and disorganized commercial operation looks like, call your prescription into this location. Once you arrive, you will wait more than 15 minutes, only to spell your name about 7 times to a clerk with minimal language comprehension skills. Then you can watch the staff rummage through bins, only to inform you that "we don't have it." "Please go to drop-off and we'll have it in 30 minutes." The pharmacy counter customer service is despicable - and this is coming from someone who generally lets poor customer service slide off her back. My voice is nearly lost from being sick for the past week, and the place was a zoo, so I have not yet voiced my disappointment to the store pharmacy manager. Some of the staff need to learn to treat people like patients - not credit card transactions. People are coming to you because they are sick! You represent the healthcare industry! Where is your empathy? Here was my disappointing experience today when I had to go there to pick up an antibiotic: I called the store to explain that I had a prescription to pick up but needed to give them my updated insurance information. I wanted to do it over the phone, but they told me to come in and take care of it at the store. I asked the woman how I'm supposed to know whether the prescription order is even there? She asked me for my name and looked it up, and said that it's there and I can go in. At the store, Laura (at the counter) was very stand off-ish, stone-faced,and didn't even make eye contact. She's too young to have such a hard attitude. When she finished what she was working on at her computer and turned to me, I handed over my insurance card. With her hard look she said that wasn't sufficient and needed a CVS Healthmark card from me. I gave her the tiny version of the card on my key chain and she said that wasn't it. "It's it the same?" I asked. My voice was nearly gone from being sick. "No. I need the other card. It's the same size as the insurance card." "But I don't have one." "You need it to get your prescription." "I don't have it." "I'll do you a favor and look it up today. But next time you have to have it in order to get your prescription." I dug around in my wallet and found it. "Here, I have it." She didn't even look up from her computer or say thanks. She just took it and said the prescription would be ready in a minute and they would call my name. She left the counter. I waited for 30 minutes. By that point, the busy line cleared so I went up to the counter. Another girl was there. She seemed pretty helpful so I quietly told her that I had been waiting for 30 minutes and if she happened to know if my prescription as ready. She checked right away, and it wasn't. So she looked me up in the system. I was towards the bottom of the list. She said she'd expedite me by moving me to the top and it wouldn't be more than 10 minutes. There was not a single person in line except me, and they were all busy filling the prescriptions that were coming in from other places!! Is this how you run a pharmacy? When the order was ready, Laura rang me up. My head was fairly cloudy from being sick. She wanted to run up the prescription and my other items separately, which was fine. So she rang up the prescription, a screen came up with $5.00 on it, and then another screen came up where I had to confirm something. I saw the $5.00 screen so quickly I wasn't sure if it was the prescription or if it had been one of those donation screens that shows up first. So I asked what it was. Again, stone-faced Laura, "That was the prescription." And then we rang up my other things. She did say "Have a nice day" at the end of the transaction, which is the most humane she had been that day. If they had taken my insurance information over the phone, I would never have had to go through all of this. They have to completely change their operations model and also this place - and perhaps CVS Corporate - really needs to learn how to put the patient needs first and to teach their staff to put on a helpful face rather than a "I'm busy and so annoyed" attitude. I give the place a 2 because the girl who expedited my order really was helpful. She could tell I was sick and took the initiative to take care of my delayed order. read more

I made the mistake of stopping into this location again after work this evening to pick up a few items. The line moved at a snails pace and the only cashier - Judy - was extremely unfriendly. As someone who has worked in customer service for years, I know enough to at least greet the customer and ask him/her if they found everything they were looking for, etc. This woman did not make eye contact with me or say hello. She just began scanning my items and never asked for my CVS card. I had to tell her I had a CVS card and at the end of the transaction she never asked me if I wanted a bag and I had to ask for one. I was also the one who said "Thank you." This store really needs to hire some better and friendlier staff! read more

This is the worst CVS is the area. The floors are filthy, covered in paper and dirt. The counters are always full of merchandise and trash. The bathrooms are disgusting, there was poop and paper everywhere and when I told the cashier she just rolled her eyes and said oh great, 30 minutes later and no one cleaned them still. It is a pharmacy, sick people there and the store is so dusty and full of germs. While I sat in line I personally saw and heard a bald manager talking with an older gentleman. He was trashing his employees. Mocking one for being sick and having her mother call in and taking bets about when another employee would call out next. The lines were six people deep with one cashier on and the manager continued talking instead of helping with checking paying customers out. Came to this cvs for a flu shot and it was easy and as quick as can be. Meaghan helped me fill out the paperwork and took my insurance info and as it turned out my insurance did not cover it. instead of turning me away Kristin redirected me to the minute clinic. The nurse there took care of me very quickly. Thank you girls for the help! read more

I was waiting in line for the pharmacist (an short Indian woman, I don't know her name). This place is always understaffed, but I don't mind waiting. When she finally came over, she told me a certain cashier working the pharmacy can help me. I said "I'd rather you help me." She asked why, I said that cashier was rude to me once. She said "Are going to say I'm rude too?" I was shocked. I said "You asked me why, that's the only reason I said it and I told you politely and honestly. The store manager knows about it, she agreed he was rude, I'm not making this up." The Indian woman said "You are rude. You are very rude." I said OK, I want to cancel all prescriptions, please don't fill them anymore. She said "Good" and walked away. I told the manager about this interaction on the way out (she is actually very nice). She said the pharmacists was wrong, and she apologized. Maybe the pharmacists was stressed? Or maybe she's always like that, I don't know. I am curious to know what others have seen there. But on a happy note, I'll never see her again. I will never set foot in that store again. STAY AWAY! Target, online pharmacies are better options. read more
