THE WORST PHARMACY EVER - STAY AWAY!!! I scheduled a 3pm appointment CVS.com but somehow when I arrived at the pharmacy at 3pm, I was told by a CVS stand-offish, surly pharmacist that I was not in her system, that they didn't take walk-ins and that I should reschedule. When I pointed out to my phone and showed her that I had proof right in my phone, she argued that I should schedule appointment on a computer. "Don't you have a home computer," she asked indignantly. So I drove 10 miles, scheduled another appointment, this time I made sure I had a printed confirmation from CVS in hand, and showed up at the appointed hour in Saugerties. 5 minutes before my scheduled vaccination slot, I got a text from CVS that I should eCheck in, which I promptly did. Then I was instructed to check in at the pharmacy counter, so I went there. I was confronted by the same teenage, female, rude pharmacist who declared that they were OUT OF CORONAVIRUS VACCINES and that - get this! - she told me at 3 o'clock that they were already out and that I should schedule for tomorrow. WHAT??? It's one thing to run out and apologize, but to lie to my face in front of a dozen people in the most self-righteous way is simply outrageous. Unvaccinated people are dying en masse partly because of such bewildering incompetence that runs throughout CVS. Why would they schedule an appointment if there was a shortage of vaccines at the store? How would a pharmacist not know that they were out or about to run out and tell a client to drive home and schedule another appointment? Further, how would no one at the pharmacy take responsibility for a mistake made by one of their colleague? It's truly a pathetic corporate behavior punctuated by a text I received at 5:09 from CVS that my 5:00 appointment was being canceled. WOW! Needless to say, I will never set my foot in another CVS store, and in a bizarre way, I'm now glad I didn't get my shot at CVS because I'm not certain that they were even capable of administering a vaccine there. CVS, you only contribute to our national COVID misery instead of being an agent of healing and positive change. Shame on you, CVS! read more
