Late last week, I headed into this store a few times, and every time I did, something impressed me. However, it didn't start that way. I was going between stores, because I needed to do things in order, (because this place doesn't do instant lottos) and that this is a CashApp cash deposit store. Although the first time I came in to deposit cash, it started where I had to yell to someone stocking in the aisles when they left their register area unattended and I needed help (which went over okay otherwise), but when I came in about 40 minutes later wanting to buy stuff with my birthday coupon and a few other minor stuff (Poland Spring water), left me with an okay purchase. However, the next day, I came in again (because, why not), I needed pens (Pilot G2 blue, a folder, and more water (because I love my Poland Spring)) and although this one was a little more costly (minus that I had a 30% off coupon on anything), the order wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Overall, I think this place sometimes does good things, while at other times, I think it could improve. I won't hold the fact that I had to scream for the employees to help me (with first CashApp cash deposit ever), but there's something in staying near so it doesn't show that you almost missed a sale had you not been nearby. read more

Very nice pharmacy staff. Often overwhelmed with customers and always doing their best - They have gone out of their way to try to get best prices for some very expensive prescriptions - and apologize when they can't. A hard job... read more

Always loved this CVS branch. It's big and bright and parking is the easiest and cleanest that I've come across. Inside are all the regular sales and normal bins that you expect from CVS. I went to CVS Red Hook to pick up a prescription for an infection. When I got there, I was told by the pharmacy associate that my insurance server was down and my prescription could not be filled. The only way to pay for it was out-of-pocket. When I asked the associate, "Are you saying the BC/BS server is down?" she just shrugged. This is what happens when there's only a monopoly pharmacy chain to go to. Deplorable. And my infection goes on... I'm changing pharmacies. read more

Worst customer service ever. There are two girls (young) with glasses often at the drive through who never smile, never really help, it always seem like they are bothered by any requests. Zero help. Both of them are super rude. If you don't know how to work in customer service then DON'T and do something that fits you better, so you will do a favor to all the people who needs medicine and attention. My age is showing. I remember when this was an A&P, and I always wondered how it stayed in business so long being a smaller A&P. But it's a good size for a CVS. The thing is, I didn't find its inventory to be quite so typical for a CVS, but it's been around for a while, so I have to assume they found the right distribution of products to sell. For example, I was surprised to find an entire aisle, both sides, stocked with greeting cards. That's more than I've seen in some greeting card stores. Yet the magazine section was narrower than the span of my arms. Prices were typical for CVS. To me, that translates to "not good." I checked products in departments like vitamins/minerals and health and beauty aids. I found that even the on sale prices of some items were still higher than prices I'd seen in grocery and department stores (in this case, specifically Hannaford and Target). Dated or perishable items had better prices, such as the small but well stocked dairy/cooler section. The thing about CVS is that once you buy a few things, you start getting rewards discounts on your register receipts, so you may have to buy a few things before starting to see better money saving offers. The best part of this store is its pharmacy, which is fairly large. When I was there, every seat in the waiting area was in use, so they get a lot of business in that department. read more

The head pharmacist at this pharmacy was extremely discriminatory towards my mental illness. She talked down to me and accusatory that I actually needed my meds. Meanwhile I was trying to pick up an emergency dose of my bipolar medication because I was to sick to go home. She was rude to me and then was rude to my doctor who called in my medicine. She talked back to him that I didn't even need the meds he was calling in. This woman treated me like an addict. This is unacceptable. I am severely mentally ill, I need to be supported, not treated like I'm some soulless junkie. Never coming back. Awful. read more

I had a terrible experience my first and last time here. I went in to fill a prescription, and browsed around the store while I waited for it. I bought a few miscellaneous items at the counter, the cashier was extremely rude and ill mannered. I brushed it off and picked up my prescription. I had an issue with the medicine and called my doctor. My doctor told me they could only change the script if the pharmacy called. When I got ahold of the male CVS pharmacist via phone, he was very disinterested in helping me and refused to make the phone call because he had other things he had to do. I will never deal with this store again. Needless to say I never got the medicine I NEEDED and my infection ended up getting worse due to their poor management. read more
