The woman behind the pharmacy counter, I'll call her Ginger Karen, refused to put my purchases on separate credit cards and proceeded to berate me in front of staff and other customers. There is one woman that works at this pharmacy and she is incredibly unpleasant. I've tried to kill her with kindness, follow all her rules (better have your barcode up) and she spends so much time berating the customers about the rules that it would just be less words if she just asked for your phone number instead of lecturing every single person in line. This place keeps getting worse. The pharmacy is frequently out of stock on common meds like insulin! They're also constantly understaffed and much of the staff appear undertrained or just don't care about customers. Honestly, it feels as if this location lacks proper management and is on the brink of closing. We are constantly frustrated with how things work at this location. had an appointment on line for covid and flu shots at Minute Clinic Clairmont. used barcode on CVS receipt to schedule 12:30 appointment. waited 20 minutes past appointment. Nurse runs my insurance (Medicare B and Medicare supplement) and says it's not covered by that clinic. ive had so many problems at this location, however it is the most convenient so i still go.. i just try to get in & out as fast as possible. the most recent problem was just this week, when i went in to grab a few items i got to the front to utilize self checkout. the line of people waiting to be helped at the counter was wrapped around and going down the main isle, with absolutely NO employee in site. i would have snapped a picture, but didnt want to invade the customers privacy. while this didnt affect me, it is something that i see occur regularly. -- theres an african american lady who works at the pharmacy & has an attitude every single time i have interacted with her, my mom has had this problem with her as well. shes argumentative with any questions asked. (if she is so unhappy, maybe she should find a new job) -- one of the times i had to push a button for an employee to get a locked item, and waited for over 15minutes... pressed it at least 3 times. when that button is pressed, it makes an announcement over the loud speaker.. when the short white guy with glasses, i think he is a manager, finally came over he acted as if it was an inconvenience for him to help a customer. the staff here, aside from a VERY select few, could care less about any customers that walk in those doors. im not sure how these people are keeping their jobs & corporate does nothing about the consistent problems that come from this location read more

Pharmacist at this location decide if they "approve" of your doctor's prescription. Their job is to fill doctor's prescriptions for their patients. If the pharmacist has a problem with filling a legal prescription, they need to find a new job. read more

Martin, 1 of the managers was so helpful to me on 5/30/24 with regard to a Gillete brand manufacturer's coupon for shaving blades, which can be quite difficult for any cashier, since it's rare. He was patient, kind, competent, and caring. Martin if you read this, thanks for helping me, I stopped by on a Thursday at 4 pm. I'm the dude with the black framed eyeglasses. Larry, the head manager is pleasant and knowledgeable, too. I've been coming here since 2010 and it's a large store that has friendly people. I don't know why there's a comment about older people by someone else here on yelp and that the store smells like "ben gay" that wasn't nice, but ageist. The pharmacy has pleasant people, too and the doctor at the minute clinic, she is very nice and friendly and intelligent. Everyone at this store deserves a raise. Thank you, Martin and the rest. Update 03/2019- Just went to checkout at this horrible store and Gus who was working at the cash registers was so rude. My self checkout had a issue and he is quote said "well call that lady over there" and continued to point off in a random direction of the store. So I said "well then you call her to come help me" he continues to yell across the store " hey (can't remember the name ) come over here then turn to me and says "see that wasn't that hard" then thankfully Jose comes over to diffuse the situation and helps me finish and check out and get on my way. However I have had issues with Gus before at this store he has poor customer service and needs to be coached more or possibly let go. Update: still a horrible CVS now the one perk thy had which was express check out Is broken. all but one of the four machines work and it's been that way for weeks. This Store gets more and more dilapidated each day. The worst CVS I've ever visited. I have visited multiple times and I always receive Very extremely poor customer service. This place always has items not properly stocked, one week they have the product the next they don't. They also have the Ability to accept Apple Pay/Samsung pay but always state "it's not working" this CVS is an absolute drab mess and I'm upset to know that they even have the right to carry the CVS Name. I live close to this store but it may be better to start taking my business to another convenience store. I prefer CVS but this specific store is making me think other wise. read more

What I really enjoy is the fact that while I'm driving I'm told repeatedly to go on the website or text while I'm waiting on hold to be served I'm hung up on twice after More than 10 minutes listening to the open hours the queue languages and every other option . Conveniently located in the same plaza as many other shopping stores, eateries and even movie theater. Tons of parking. Came here to purchase a bottle of Hennessy, which was fully well stocked. For the liquor in the glass case, you simply press the big red "Call Service" button, an employee comes to you, you show them which one you want, they open the case, and ring you up at the counter. I was in a hurry when I came in and went straight to self check out when there was an item that didn't scan properly and the attendant had to check the price and I told her I was in a rush she yelled at me and snapped and said I would have to wait for her to check the items price anyway. That's fine I can admit when I'm wrong but when a customer is in a hurry and says so, your employees need to be more patient and mindful of the customers time instead of talking back... I tried to start the checkout process over at the next self check out and it wasn't working and she shrugged at me and would not assist me and no one else came to help either, this could be an issue do to low staffing though I'm aware. Omg... the WORST pharmacy ever!!! They send me 10000 texts and calls saying my prescription is ready and when I come in to get it, they've somehow managed to screw it up!!! Over and over and over again!! I've seriously been trying to get a CORRECT prescription from them since December! Over a month! Absolutely insane. My doctors have called, my insurance has talked to them... they CANNOT fill a simple prescription. Perhaps they, as pharmacists, are unaware that prescriptions are typically for a medical problem and tend to be RATHER TIMELY!!! Anyway - LAST TIME I come to this janky, homeless infested, dirty store. It's gross and the only reason I came is for convenience. But now that they've proven they can't do the simplest of things, I have no reason to go there. I hope they get shut down. I don't come here often, but needed to grab some hair gel on the way to the gel. I was delighted to find they carried my hair gel (hard to find). This CVS was really clean, isles well organized and easy to find what you're looking for. I was surprised their prices were higher then other competitors (Walgreens and even Target). The self check out didn't give me problems, but everyone around me seemed to be having problems with it. Since this was my first visit (and potentially my only visit) I felt a 3-star rating was right in the middle. read more

My disabled mother who is 86 yrs old took my brother who has Traumatic Brain Injury for their flu shots yesterday. She knocked on the door at the "minute clinic" and a older woman "Ret" answered. My mom asked where they sign in. Ret made a joke (who is knocking at my door?) and said she was eating lunch and told my mother they would have to wait. Thirty minutes later she came out and told my mother there were 4 others before her and they would have to sign in and wait again! Needless to say, my Mom was really mad and they left. This is outrageous and I hope RET is standing in the unemployment line for the holidays. read more

The Pharmacy Staff at CVS in the clairemont square has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It's like going to the DMV. I would give this location minus zero stars. They don't want to help or answer questions. My family has been turned away for refills, flu shots and other general questions. We then go to Rite Aid where they do every thing possible to assist. No one was in line or even around, not to mention it wasn't 6 yet. I apologized for being so close to closing time & explained this was the only time I could make it, rushed to get here & that my text notification said it was the last day to pick up my prescription. Great CVS location! I came here over the weekend because I needed a contact lens case. They had awesome promotions throughout the store! I love that everything is spacious and not crowded! LADIES: THEY HAVE NYX AND MILANI! YES GIRL YES! While every other store is out, they have your fave cosmetics in stock!! COME THROUGH EYE TECH BOLD LOL They have great promos! It was buy 1 get 1 50% off of Milani! WOW! You won't find that deal at Target or anywhere else! When I was ringing out at the self-serve register, my fat fingers accidentally pressed the Spanish button but the attendant there was EXTREMELY helpful and he translated and made the checkout process smooth for me! Well, hell, at least it's an alternative to Wal-Mart for my 24-hour shopping needs. Seriously, I must have a shopping compulsion, because sometimes I get bored in the middle of the night and go buy fun cosmetics and toiletries, usually to be donated to a local women's shelter. They probably enjoy the more unique, feminine donations, and I get to buy stuff, so it's a win-win situation! The selection of beauty products here is pretty cool. There are lots of unusual products and hard-to-find lines, albeit at a higher price than you'd find at a mass retailer. There's also a notable section filled with products from Mexico...Mexican shampoos, shower gels, soaps, that rank-ass baby cologne (seriously, babies smell good enough on their own; why would you spray that crap on your poor kid?)...you name it. The pharmacy is decent, too. There's decently friendly service (Tiffany is always really nice), and they've only been out of stock on a prescription I needed once. I don't usually buy enough to need a cart, but let me assure you that if you are not suffering from gigantism or some other unfortunate condition, the carts are of reasonable height (maybe Sasha C. is just really tall). This CVS a moronic store policy of carding everyone in your group if you are buying alcohol. This is so far off from the Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC) law that it really blows my mind away they would use such a policy. It seems that the workers also don't realize how stupid this policy is and just enforce it because they are told to. When asking a worker about the policy "What if I was with my teenager?" the Drone Minimum Wage Worker (DMWW) replied "That's different, you wouldn't give your kids alcohol". I may not, but that doesn't stop all the people I read about doing it in the news. On another occasion I was having a conversation with the person behind me at checkout and the DMWW asked for both of our IDs. When we informed her that "we are not with each other and don't know each other" the DMWW replied "It doesn't matter I have to card everyone". Holy sh*t, this is what Nazi Germany must have been like.. "Papers...". Thanks CVS for helping understand a tragic part of history. I encourage people who patronize this store for alcohol in a group, refuse to provide ID, unless you are the one purchasing alcohol. If the DMWW persists, have the rest of your group walk out of the store. If the DMWW still wont sell you your alcohol after presenting your ID, inform them you will file a complaint with ABC, walk out of the store and say "Good Day". read more

Best CVS ever! Alright I didn't go in here to shop. I was merely in here for my own amusement. This place is the perfect if you happen to be a man in his mid-40s trying to pick up one of those 17 year old girls that stand outside liquor stores coaxing you with her youthful appearance into buying her some booze. All you need to do is go to this CVS, buy a four pack of Bailey's Irish Cream Minis and a handful of those Major League Baseball brand Mardi Gras beads hanging on a rack next to them and you're set. (I hope you remember that I'm kidding. I don't condone men trying to pick up underage girls. But, writing about this does take me back.) You won't believe the awesomeness I encountered here. They're actually selling Barrack Obama and John McCain masks for Halloween. They also have these Miami Ink sleeves that you can wear to make you appear as though you're all tatted up. And to think I've been wasting my time saving the money I put into the swear jar for all the ink I was going to have done, when all I needed to do was go to CVS and buy these $3 tattoo sleeves.
