Popped in here Saturday morning. Had some time to kill before stopping in at a fitness class and was looking for some small items. I found what i needed and went to check out with the register that had a light on but there wasn't anybody there. One staff member did walk by then disappeared. Aside that tho, it had what i needed, the store felt more dated like an old rite aid. A bit messy but nothing crazy. Ample parking lot, shared between target and dunkies next door! Had nothing I needed. The smallest and crappiest target I've been to. Was dirty and disgusting. Smelled like pee outside.

If you need a quick item or live in the area it's ok to shop at ! But I was in on Sunday and the store was a disgrace. Dirty, seems like management & staff don't care! My husband and I go for a few items, but it was better before. No one can answer a question you have about items. Go check it out for yourself, and see! read more

I am so happy to have this mini-Target in the neighborhood. When I'm in need of fairly random household items, like jewelry cleaner and baby proofing supplies, this Target has them. I have heard that the prices vary between the store and online, so be sure to check that out. Also, I bought moldy berries there once. They took them back no problem. read more

Tiny and under-stocked. It's only a little bigger than a typical corner drug store. Shelves seemed disorganized.

I love Target and have been a cardholder and shopper for over 25 years. This is the saddest Target I've ever been in. Empty shelves or sparsely stocked shelves. Their food aisles seem to be stocked but seriously who thinks of Target as the local supermarket? More groceries than essentials. Great, small target. However, could really use expansion of diaper options. Currently only has pampers and target brand and minimal sizing. Other locations have many more options, but they are hard to get to with a newborn. Would shop here more often if they carried more options. read more

So I called Target Guest Relations about my issues with coupons at this store, and then followed up with Kerome, who was much different on the phone than in store. He did want to make the situation right, which I was appreciative about. With all of this said, I understand his reasoning that his store does high volume and that getting lots of merchandise is difficult, so he wants to have enough for everyone. However, Target says that four like coupons is allowed, and no exception is listed. If this is something that the smaller Target that is located in Brookline is able to do, there really should not be a reason this store cannot. I was able to come to an agreement with his for future purchases here, but the main point is that if you want to save money, the Roslindale store is priced higher than the surrounding stores and doesn't have the best selection of merchandise to begin with. Regardless of all of this, a new store (such as this) should be following the policies that Target has to try to get customers to their store regardless. I know when the Brookline location opened in 2016 they were more than friendly with everything I needed help with. I guess I'm asking for a lot from this location, but I was looking forward to having a closer store nearby to the area, and ultimately, it's not a place I'm going to avoid, but for trips when using a lot of coupons, I'll go elsewhere so I don't have to deal with what I feel is nonsense, considering it goes against Target's coupon policy. I do think that this is a good message (from the store manager) that Target is an up-and-coming company that is thriving, more locations (like this, and bigger) should start appearing in West Roxbury, Dedham and more communities where they could be so attractive for the consumer eye... just something the company should think about. 3 stars. A-OK. I'll update again once I actually go back and see how that experience is, but I cannot speak enough of how underwhelming this store opening was in comparison to the Brookline store (that is very similar to this). In reference to Kim W.'s review, as I was the Yelper who mentioned previously that prices are higher, I went to the Watertown Target the day before here and all of the toothbrushes, health and beauty care that I was purchasing were all an up charge of nearly one dollar at this location so prices do in fact differ. I will be posting a picture of some specific items when I go next to another big-box location and then take pictures of the prices here to compare, because they are in fact different, no need to believe the other incorrect interpretation of this store. read more

This Target used to be a CVS in the past so it is quite small for a target. There is not much to say about this Target location, it has a lot less things than your typical target would. The electronics has the essentials for the most part but the number of grocery items is more limited. It is a decent spot if you need to pick up a few things but I would not make it my usual target. read more

Decent location but with subpar customer service, the staff seems miserable. Produce and food are often past the expiration dates, although they do have a decent selection of grocery items.The area by the register's is always a mess and looks like it needs to be merchandise better. The people here make the experience enjoyable. However, this Target seems to have the issue of trying have everything by offering the most limited selection of products. I shop here regularly because it's close and generally has the essentials I need. But it feels barren and always has the same inventory. I like the store and I want it to get better; I genuinely think it has a lot of potential. The people that work there are very kind and helpful and that makes the experience infinitely better. FWIW this Target was NEVER a CVS location..it was actually a Staples! It's a "city" Target so it is smaller & supposed to have less stuff. I live a stones throw away and it is convenient for me to grab things like cream for my coffee & Silk Almond milk ($3.19 here as opposed to $4.29 at the Village Market.) I agree that the staff kind of sucks and stands around with nothing to do (they seem overstaffed always.) It is NOT however a racial thing. I am white and feel followed everytime I'm in here. Not stealing jack so it doesn't really concern or offend me. Overall cool to have in the neighborhood. read more

PSA - ALSO CHECK PRICES ON THE WEBSITE WHEN YOU GO TO BUY SOMETHING IN-STORE AND ASK FOR A PRICE MATCH. I like this Target because it's small, clean, and easily navigable. I routinely check online if I'm looking for something specific to make sure they have it in store before I head over. The only thing I don't like is the differential pricing. I once went there for an item that was about $5.50 online but when I got the store, the same item was offered at almost $10. The good thing is Target has a fair price-matching policy and I paid the online price. I've bought several other items where I had to ask for a price match but this example was by far the biggest price difference I've seen. Note that a store associate has to check you out if you have a price match; no self checkout and you have to show them the item listing on the website. So, aside from the rigmarole of checking prices, this store is nice and it covers the basics very well. read more

This is a cute lil Target right in the middle of Roslindale Village. There's one employee in particular who was really nice to me and my mom, so I'd say my experience with customer service has been pretty good. It's small, so don't expect to find everything you need here. (So sad that they don't have a Pizza Hut express here!) but it's super convenient and in a pretty good location for me. read more

They overprice everything by $4+ from what the app says so I always have to have them prove match. Once they were charging 19.99 for a charger that was actually 7.99 on their website. I've stopped going here because of the hassle of waiting in line or going back and forth with them. This place is small anyways read more

I wanted to like this store. My partner and I needed to get some muffin tins last minute when we were visiting a friend nearby. They had NOTHING. My niece needed some art supplies also, but literally only had crayons and markers. Go to a bigger store if you want Target. If you want a small grocery, go here. read more

Was surprised to find this store I thought this used to be a staples it's VERY SMALL kind of like a really good corner store it had produce and a couple refrigerators of frozen food. Clothes in the middle and a small electronics department in the back. To be honest you won't find everything like in the larger locations; but it serves it's purpose carries all the essentials. BUT there's a bunch of holes especially in the electronics check online first cause the one thing i came for wasn't there and I checked online and it said it was out of stock soooooo at least it is accurate save yourself some time. Security by the front door kept out the panhandlers and they clearly want you to use the 6 self checkout lanes which I LOVE! The lady even helped bag on self checkout for me. In the end great small location with plenty of parking.... Pulling out the lot can get a little dangerous though. read more

Seems to have everything but what you need. Supplies are extremely limited because of its size. And prices are always much higher than the normal target prices. I find that I need to price match their target website in order to get a lower price. Also hate the fact that it destroyed some family owned businesses in the area and they don't even offer that family owned business dead. I will definitely be heading to an actual target instead of this one. On the flipside customer service is always great and people seem to really want to be there and help. read more

I strongly disagree with the first review. Yes it's true it is a small space but it does have most of the essentials that you might need. Like food to clothing to electronics to household items. I believe that this Target is great for the community. Although many here would say we don't want a corporate enterprise in our community it did bring jobs and a nice up grade to what was here...a store that makes sense in my Roslindale neighborhood. read more

This was mine and my fiancé's first time at the Roslindale Target and figured we'd look around to see what the store had to offer. From the moment we entered the store up until we walked out the door we were followed by three different Target team members: one young Caucasian woman, one young African American man, and a young Hispanic man. We noticed right away that the young Caucasian woman was following close behind us down every aisle we went in to. She then asked the young African American male to follow closely behind us once we reached electronic and toys. They must have alerted AP that we looked suspicious because we noticed a young Hispanic male do a couple of laps near the aisles we were in. We were just looking to grab some dinner and even picked up some underwear at 8:26pm on a Friday night. We're both African American from this neighborhood and found it uncomfortable to be followed around like criminals when other customer (a couple of Caucasian women and a young Hispanic couple) were not treated the same as us. This isn't the first Target we've been in where we were racially profiled but it seems that somewhere in the organization racism is tolerated. My fiancé and I will no longer do business with such a company and will advise our friends and family to do the same. read more

I visited this location with my 80 year old mother. She had warned me that she did not like going to that specific Target because she always felt racially profiled. Sure enough, from the moment we walked in, we were followed by multiple store employees. At one point, we were literally followed from aisle to aisle with an employee blocking us in at either end while they hovered next to us without ever speaking to either of us (not even so much as asking if we needed assistance or pretending to have any actual work to do in those aisles). At first we tried to ignore them and pretend they weren't just blatantly profiling us, placing the needed items in our cart, but after being followed to the 5th or 6th aisle, we decided that as badly as my elderly mom needed those items, it wasn't worth our dignity so we (very visibly) placed each item back in their proper place with those same employees once again following and watching while we put the items back, still not actually speaking to us, and left. As we were leaving another black customer came in and I watched as they immediately started doing the same thing to her. This is completely illegal, unacceptable behavior and their parent company really needs to address the situation. read more
