My review is solely on the pharmacy, not the store as a whole itself…read more I came to pick up medication with my grandmother (80) and chose this location because it was close to VCU after her appointment. Thank God I did go with her because if I hadn't I'm sure we would've had a bigger problem. I put the three medication in two days prior to trying to pick it up. I was astonished that it still wasn't ready. When I asked why it wasn't ready the pharmacist laughed and said it was normal for this location. She also stated that they're always at least four days behind. I'm used to CVS calling me if they don't have my medication at a location or if they're backed up. They ask if I'm willing to drive to a different location ( which I am ) Well all that aside now that we were in store they were willing to move her medication up in line and told me it would be a 30 minute wait. I decided to take her home to rest durning this time. Prior to leaving we asked how much it would be and she stated / showed us that it would be $38.00 My grandmother being old fashion gave me two 20s and I dropped her off at home. Fast forward to returning 30 minutes later and somehow the medication has jumped up to over $60.00. She stated that she should not have guessed how much the medication was going to cost. My confusion was (and still is) that she showed it to us in the system and it said $38.00. What made the price almost double? When I asked she just looked at me like a deer in headlights. At this point I didn't feel like getting into it. It's my grandma I'm going to pay whatever I need to pay , and I needed ti get back to her. I didn't necessarily need directions as the doctor had taken the time ti explain what we would be getting. I just needed to know which medication was which. Her reply was "ummmm I'm not sure" and then she proceeded to make an "educational guess". This sent a chill up and down my spine, because my grandmother being the sweet old lady that she is, would've listen to this woman. The PHARMACIST who is guessing!! My grandmother would've taken her medication wrong! Hearing the uncertainty in her voice and blatantly realizing that she was guessing I asked to speak to someone else. She could however could not seem to understand why I wanted to speak to someone else. We just stood there looking at one another for a moment until we were interrupted by another pharmacist. Thankful who knew what she was doing. She took the time to show me which medication was what. Explained to me how it worked and just put me at ease. All in all though I will never trust this pharmacy again. Which really sucks since it's so close.

Never answers the phone. Horrible customer relations. I hope you dont have an urgent matter.read more

This pharmacy is difficult to fill a prescription at. They never fill my prescription without me…read morephysically showing up in the store first. Then I have to wait for it. Also, there are bums in the parking lot that hassle me for money, long lines at checkout, and the store has inconsistent and unpredictable hours. This pharmacy is close to my house, but I am likely to go elsewhere in the future.

Wow I can't even begin to day how bad this pharmacy is. My doctor called in a specific brand of…read morepill and 4 months worth of it. I came to pick it up and it was a different type and 1 month's worth. What the hell. I initially thought my doctor had called in the wrong thing so I called them to get clarification and was concerned when they found out the pharmacy didn't do as they called in. They said they called in the right prescription. I confronted the pharmacy and they pulled up my prescription and the look of realization dawned on them. They asked me to wait for 5 minutes and they would get the correct one for me. They ended up giving me 3 months worth of THE SAME INCORRECT BRAND. They assumed this one was okay and asked if I wanted that specific brand. I said yes and the doctor specified this brand only and no other brand. She then tried to make an excuse that there was a "manufacturer's error" for that brand so they didn't have it but they can order it now. What?? All in all, stay away from this pharmacy. I wouldnt be surprised if they disregarded a doctor's prescription for someone else and it ended up being detrimental to them. I will report them so they won't be able to potentially hurt someone else by disregarding the doctor's specific instructions. They have lost my business for good!

Buford Road is a lovely little gem of a pharmacy. It's a throwback to a generation ago, when people…read morebelieved in supporting family owned, small businesses. BRP has somehow found a way to incorporate some of the necessary modern-day conveniences while maintaining old world charm. The store itself is a mash-up of pharmacy, medical supply, gift shop, post office, floral shop (only silks), and Amazon drop off. I legit did Father's Day shopping, shipping and a pharmacy run in under 30 minutes. The greeting card selection is fantastic. The aisles are well maintained, well stocked, clean and bright. The staff is always available for questions and willing to help. One day I strolled in to pick up a heated water bottle because I really couldn't handle CVS, which is right across the street. One of the medical supply staff was more than happy to help me locate it and I was in and out promptly. Some prices on things are competitive with larger chains, while some things are higher (example Flonase Sensimist is $31 here, $27 at CVS) The pharmacy has an easy refill system online - nothing fancy. You may get a call from the pharmacy reminding you of your refill. Online refills are often delivered same day. You read that right... free delivery on prescriptions. You won't get annoying texts harassing you for refills like the place across the street. The delivery drivers are super polite. Great for run of the mill prescriptions. If you're in the neighborhood, definitely consider making this your home pharmacy.
