Once upon a time I was in Rite Aid bored and bought The Jacksons "Destiny" cd. It was 2007 and I wanted to shake my body down to the ground. I got in the car went to rip the plastic off the jewel case and noticed there was none nor was there a cd. When I tried to get a refund I got accused of stealing turned mine eyes towards CVS. Since then I've been to more Duane Reade's than Rite Aids. Until on "Saturday night" I really wanted dental floss.* Here I was in Rite Aid, floss in hand behind two people going through it. When they got to the register to buy tobacco, the cashier asked for both if their id's and I'd never seen that. They didn't have an id between them so they stormed out in a huff. No straw purchases here. It was then my turn. I found the cashier to very pleasant, considering what must have been a stressful day. This is directed towards the pharmacy department not only are they rude, but they also will never answer the phone for you and whatever you do make sure you put your prescription in a couple days in advance because they take their sweet time getting your stuff to you and you can never get them on the phone! The pharmacy employees at this location are not only inept but also like to try to commit potential insurance fraud. While on vacation we needed my sons medication in an emergency situation. We called the pharmacy and as advised they had his RX and that they could fill it. We drive over 100 miles out of the way to get it and they only have half of the RX.... But that's fine, I'm happy to just have some till we can get home. The pharmacist tell us we have to come back next week, to this same location to pick up the other half. My husband explained that we could not drive over 500 miles back to this same location and we would need to pick it up locally to us or make other arrangements. Fast forward a week later. We try to get his medication and we are told we can't because we just got a FULL RX at the Richmond location. We did not. Our insurance company tried to call multiple times and left numerous messages with no return call from this pharmacy. Thankfully our insurance company gave us an override to obtain our sons life saving medication. I'm glad this pharmacy was able to get paid at the risk of my sons life. read more

This review applies to their pharmacy not their store- Didn't even want to give them one star. This place genuinely sucks ass. I needed to transfer my prescriptions there when I came to college, and not only have they handed me the wrong medication, their wait times are insane, their employees have ignored me standing there with no one else in line for more than 15 minutes, and they never made an effort to call my pc doctor after ensuring that they would twice. Now I'm in a position where I don't have my medication which I need desperately because of their irresponsible and uncaring employees. Also, they up charge the medication an insane amount for some reason, they have all the same insurance info as my other pharmacy back home and they charge almost twice the price for the same exact meds. Couldn't be more unsatisfied, DO NOT FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE. read more

As I was traveling on business, I chose this pharmacy based on its close proximity to my hotel. I was on hold for eeeeever trying to talk to the pharmacy, yet, the front receptionist was apologetic, and kept trying to transfer me, great attitude. The pharmacist was very nice. I showed up two hours after the physician called my rx in, it was ready. They had at least four folks cranking out prescriptions, there was no line at 4:30 pm, and they were cheerful and polite. They made an attempt to have my insurance contribute, but my ins. was problematic and not worth saving anything on the total bill of $ 9.95 read more

Great experience I felt no shame from the cashier when I went to buy a plan B fantastic customer service!

This rite aid is p tight when its 3am and u need them snacks and dranks. Employees r all chill. Theres also this section where everything is one dollar and that is truly lit. Theyve got this massive bag in that section of knockoff teddy grahams called "teddy bear cookies" and it is truly chopt. Definitely worth checking out this establishment especially if yr off some benzos read more

Employee "Marvis" has the worst attitude and this has happened more than once. First time was when my mother asked her if she worked there because she needed some assistantce. Woman looked at my mom like she was a complete idiot and responded with "Yeah...???" At this point me and my mother just left shaking our heads. I again had the same problem today with her! I simply asked her if her register was open, and the exact same face and "yeah..??" From her again. I shook my head in disbelief and said sorry I guess that's a weird question to ask? To which she responded with "oookay..?" I left shaking my head and called and filed a customer complaint for the first time in my life for anywhere. Unbelievably rude/sarcastic/condescending. If you don't like your job work somewhere else. Other than that store is clean, well organized and I haven't had any problems with any of the other employees but Marvis is enough to ruin the whole place for me. read more
