I'm writing this review because of a rude, unprofessional, and dishonest employee at CVS. I was having another prescription filled when I noticed that they added another prescription that I never asked for. Unfortunately, this has become a habit and has happened numerous times in the past. When it happened before, I made several calls to try and correct this to no avail. Since I have just started to drive again after a knee replacement, my son was picking up my prescriptions so I didn't notice until he was already home. So on Sunday, July 29th I went to the store in person and it happened again, so I told them I didn't order the extra prescription and a woman named Kathlyn began screaming at me and becoming very aggressive with me. She was very rude and unprofessional, not to mention dishonest by charging me for something I didn't order. She should be fired! read more

All these girls are absolutely rude and desrespectfull. they cannot work with people. No people skills at all. I just go to this CVS since this is the only one around that can fill my prescription. But if they have no customer services skills that means poor management. You need to choose the correct people to work in the frontline. I simply hate their attitude and hate going there. I wish the cvs close to me where they are absolutely nice in Both CVS in ANZA could fill my prescription. read more

Decent CVS for the area. It was 24 hours even during holiday hours so that was a plus. Turned out I had forgotten my makeup and a gift for someone so we actually came here twice because it was close to our hotel. They hardly had any make up deals but the store was well organized and parking was easy for a quick in and out. Check out was quick and friendly as well. read more

I mostly go here because there is a Chase ATM inside. It's very convenient when I need to get cash. Does what I need it to do so no complaints. read more

I pulled in at the drive thru today to pick up my prescriptions; there were only two cars in front of me and I thought I'd scored! 30 minutes later, there was one car in front of me and no movement at the window. I called the store and eventually spoke to a person. I told them I was in the drive thru and asked if there was a problem. There was a computer glitch, and they were working on it. Okay, I understand that because I have also experienced a few computer glitches in my life. It was the dismissive manner in which this information was relayed to me that surprised, and annoyed me. So unnecessary. And, how about coming outside to tell your customers in the drive- thru line that there's an issue that might take some time to resolve to allow them to decide if they want to wait? I ended up backing out of the drive-thru and going inside the pharmacy. It took me about 5 minutes to complete my transaction. I don't know if the young woman who helped me was the same person I spoke to by phone, but her attitude was similar. I know there are really good employees here also, It just could have been a less annoying experience today. read more

This is my go-to pharmacy since it's close to my house. It's open 24 hours and they have a large parking spot out back! So convenient!

Pharmacy use to be super super great. They have been going downhill for the past 3 months. I go to get regular monthly prescriptions and they don't have ready and don't have in stock. It is suppose to be on auto refill. They should have in stock. I drop prescriptions off and they say they need to call doctor and they dont meanwhile I'm waiting. They each have a different story. Onetime a girl was making it really complicated with my insurance and she rolled her eyes at me! I'm moving my regular monthly scripts to a mail order that mails me a 3 month supply. read more

A star for the staff who are always nice and one for being open 24 hours, but to the management who refuse anyone for any reason from using their "public" restroom after 8...a big zero. While I can understand you wanting some control in the evening hours, common sense could and should prevail. When my young daughter desperately needed to use it this evening with me present, you would think a little compassion would be a reasonable expectation. I even understood when she politely asked without me standing at her side but certainly not when I asked for her and explained it was an emergency. I frequently go to this location of CVS pharmacy. The only reason this review is being put on here today is because of an unexpected treat. I went in the other day and there was Tawney. She was just this lovely woman walking the floor just checking on the customers and seeing if there's anything that she can do to help them. He came to me and asked me if I was finding everything OK and I was. And then I needed help... So I found her and I asked my question. Not only did she help me she was so kind and considerate and informative... She knew her products she knew where everything was and to my surprise I need help again she help me she was so unbelievable... management... Hello are you listening?!?! She is the best thing that I experienced any CVS pharmacy ever! I absolutely hope that you compensate her appropriately because she is shining light in your store and I will look for her when I go go back. And as long as she's there I know that I'm continue to exclusively no to this location for her. Thank you Tawney for making my CVS experience for the first time in my life fabulous! The parking lot of this CVS located at the southeast corner of PCH and Torrance Blvd almost always contains some amount of trash---not infrequently the litter consists of empty beer cans and bottles. Aggressive panhandlers are known to stand or even lie on the ground near the main (now only) entrance. Management has been oblivious to inoperative exterior lights, especially those above and near the store's entrance, that have at times gone without repair for months. This store needs a security guard. While employees Cheryl, Donovan and Jack are very nice, management personnel on the other hand have been rude and hostile. Because of the management, and the conditions that they have allowed to exist for years at this store, I've decided to no longer patronize this CVS---even though it's only a two-block walk from my house. I strongly recommend the other CVS stores in Redondo Beach at 1880 S. Pacific Coast Highway in South Redondo and at 2115 Artesia Blvd in North Redondo, respectively, as clean and pleasing alternatives to the store at PCH and Torrance. BTW, I am a physician. read more

I haven't had many encounters with Donovan, but he is a fantastic employee. He helped me set up the right phone number for my account and put me on an email list for receipts, I'm kind of surprised no one else ever mentioned this to me in the past. He's very friendly and went out of his way when I joked about using my card because I can't remember the phone number. Lol he seems to have been hired some time in the past 6 months- great addition! Seems like a simple service but I usually don't get much engagement with CVS employees. The staff at this store all are pretty well rounded individuals. read more

I am a regular here at this CVS. I walk to this store sometimes 4 times a week. They have a new store manager about two months ago and the customer experience has been seriously impacting by this. They don't predict inventory shortfalls (like Ernie did) and don't overstock on key sale items (like Ernie did). The Diet Pepsi are always on sale and I have been back to the store 3 days in a row and they shelves are EMPTY. I had to ask for someone to check in the back yesterday, which they did, and brought out Pepsi's for me. So you would think when I came back today as I just did, they would have moved that inventory to the shelves. But they didn't. Finally, the sale tags are not updated as they were (yes, under Ernie) by Sunday morning. Now, they are the old tags so I am confused about the sales and their expiration date. Note to the District Manager, get some training for this store and ask Ernie to help. read more

This CVS pharmacy is just ok. From time to time the customer service is good, and other times it is terrible. The best thing about this CVS is that it is open 24 hours (note that the pharmacy ISN'T though). The second best thing about this CVS is that they have self check-out so you hardly ever have to wait. I went there a few months ago and the employee overseeing the self check-out looked at what I was buying and proceeded to ask me if I had certain medical conditions and if I really needed what I was buying. ?!?!?!?!. I'm pretty sure that is inconsiderate, violating my privacy, AND illegal. I also had another negative experience with coupons, because the employee wasn't educated on their policy. As any CVS couponer knows, the store will accept a manufacturer coupon AND a CVS store coupon for the same item. In this particular case the amount of the two coupons exceeded the value of the item by $1. They then told me I had to choose which coupon I wanted to use or I couldn't buy the item. After calling customer service and talking to the manager Jon, it all got straightened out. But in the end I really felt like my coupons and I weren't welcome in the store and that they were just "doing me a favor". I haven't been back since =/. I have had better and faster service from the pharmacy and front of the store at the location on Rosecrans by Bristol Farms. Parking is also easier and the other location. read more

Ugh! The pharmacy here. The pharmacy is full of mistakes, especially in the billing department. There are 3 three pharmacists here that I have seen, 2 are really nice (white blonde lady and a thin Asian lady), sorry do not remember their names. Then there is another Asian lady pharmacist that hates her job and people. She probably stays there because of the pay and can't get a job elsewhere. She will just tell you your insurance is denying it. Well, then you have to call your insurance and see that its not denied. She tries to act stupid but she's actually just lazy and hates people. Gee lady, why did you get a job that interfaces with the public? Here's a bit of career advice, get a job at a hospital pharmacy where perhaps she only dispenses to patients there and no need to to deal with the public. There are also rude employees at the store, namely large guy, probably manager, another one that hates his job. There are some employees there that are nice. But when the rude ones are there all of the time.............its a horrible experience. read more
