Beach Market Hermosa delivered one of the worst customer service experiences my girlfriend and I…read morehave had in a long time. From the second we walked in, we were met with an attitude that was cold, dismissive, and openly rude. Asking simple questions felt like we were committing some kind of offense. Instead of basic professionalism, we were treated like an inconvenience, like our presence alone was a problem. The tone, the body language, the lack of courtesy, all of it was unnecessary and completely unacceptable. What made this experience even worse is that it did not feel like an isolated moment of bad service. It felt personal, hostile, and deeply disrespectful. We left feeling unwelcome and disturbed by how casually we were treated with such disregard. No customer should ever walk into a business expecting to spend money and walk out feeling belittled, brushed off, and unwanted. Businesses in a community like Hermosa Beach should be held to a higher standard than this. Respect is not optional. Professionalism is not optional. Common decency is not optional. If a business cannot manage those basics, then it does not deserve the public's trust or support. After this happened, I checked the Yelp and Google reviews, and that only made this worse. Review after review described the same kind of rude, hostile, abrasive behavior. At that point, this no longer looks like one bad interaction. It looks like a pattern. And when the same complaints keep surfacing from different people across different platforms, the public should pay attention. So let this be a warning to anyone in the Hermosa area: avoid this place. Spend your money somewhere that values customers and knows how to treat people with respect. Do not ignore the reviews. Read them for yourself on Yelp and Google. The pattern is there, and based on our experience, it is absolutely real. Beach Market Hermosa is the kind of place that reminds you how fast one toxic interaction can ruin an entire business reputation. No one should have to deal with this kind of treatment, and no business should feel comfortable operating this way without being called out for it.

Inexpensive and good ice cream! I have seen Thrifty's ice cream in the frozen aisles at grocery stores. Sure, I can purchase 'em there and have it at home. Not quite the experience of purchasing on a cone or a cup at Rite Aid. Have gone to this location a couple of times, another in Torrance and in Norwalk for my scoop ice cream and friend's/fam's scoops. They were always generous scoops too. Aw, thanks for the memories!

There's a difference between taking advantage of an open market and exploiting the folks that support you day in and day out. Pretty shameful.

Beware. Do not go to this store. This place is in cahoots with Nathan's Towing to steal your car and take it to the most ghetto lot in Inglewood. They will hold your car hostage until you dodge the needles and crack heads, then steal your money to get your car back. If you don't get robbed first. Nathan's towing is a criminal, car theft organization . They use a fake address: it's abandoned. 712 w. Florence, Los Angeles There actual address: 6030 s. Western, Los Angeles They also hide behind other company names: Premier towing LLC LAPD, please shut down these crooks ! Terrible pharmacy. Terrible hours. Can only get to store from one direction (which is to have the store on your right). Store opens 7am. Waited outside for a medication I desperately needed only to be told pharmacy doesn't open til an hour after store opens (which was not posted online where I searched for store/pharmacy hours). Pharmacy open 8am. Pharmacy hours too short. Go to another CVS Pharmacy with longer business hours. Small parking lot. Also prescriptions take longer than usual to fill. Go to Pier and PCH in Hermosa Beach or even 2nd and PCH in Hermosa Beach. read more

My out of pocket cost for this medication was raised from $128 to $280 at CVS. Although I didn't receive much help from my doctor's office in trying to get my insurance to authorize payment, they did send a new prescription to the Medplus pharmacy in their building. Amazingly enough, the out of pocket cost here is only $105 for the same 90 day supply. Makes you wonder how a small independent pharmacy can beat the pants off of a pharmaceutical behemoth like CVS doesn't it? Anyway, the people here were extremely helpful in helping me obtain my medication at a much more affordable price. If you have a doctor in the building here on Earl Street or anywhere near Torrance really, it's worth checking this pharmacy to at least ask what their price is on any drug you may be taking with a high copay or that isn't covered by your insurance. If CVS is overcharging on my prescription, your pharmacy may be doing the same thing. It doesn't cost you anything to inquire.
