Please keep your entrance clean. I like your pharmacy but the rest of the store is dirty.

It's the only grocery store available at Freshfields, and most of the time it gets the job done…read morejust fine. Anyone who's stayed on either Seabrook or Kiawah Island is most likely intimately familiar with this Harris Teeter. On many visits, we've found this store to be relatively well-stocked. However, the week before Easter was definitely a busy one for this store, and they were cleaned out of a lot of their typical offerings. For example, their take-and-bake pizzas are an easy and decent dinner after a day at the beach, but to our surprise, there were none left when we stopped in around 5 PM on a Wednesday. I'm confident that this not a regular occurrence - but something to note if you're visiting during the busy season. I will echo other reviewers that mentioned narrow aisles and an interesting layout. This store is definitely on the smaller side, and can feel crowded when there's multiple people in one aisle. One way to avoid this is shopping outside of peak hours ... early in the morning our later at night. The cashiers are mostly friendly and always fast. If you come from a state with Kroger or Fry's instead of Harris Teeter, rest assured that you can still input your phone number for your shopper rewards. Another positive is that I haven't noticed a difference in prices from this store and non-touristy grocery stores. Again, it does the trick for being the only grocery store at Freshfields. However, it could certainly use a little love and a few updates.

I have been shopping there since I moved here a year ago, and been buying all my meat there. last…read moreWeek I asked the manager if this select was all Natural and organic. He answered me our meat is not natural or organic. I asked him well why does the sign above say it is and why don't you take it down? He told me would he wasn't going to take it down if I wanted to get on a ladder and take it down, and he gave me a smirk to go with that. I can imagine what else in the store is deceptive. In this day and age we must do something about supermarket like this. What other crap and lies are they feeding us?? This is the store in fresh fields

I don't know much about the pharmacy side of the business - it's probably fine. But I think…read moreVincent's should either decide that it wants to be in the ice cream business or that it doesn't. They have scores of well-heeled vacationers with kids who want a scoop. Their response to this perfect setup is to be open for about 15 hours a week. Weekends, when people are in motion coming and going? Nope - closed. Evenings? Closed. Their most recent timetable was something like Tuesday through Friday, 10-2:30. Truthfully, though, it doesn't really matter -- they'll just close early if they feel like it. It's not at all unusual to see a sign that says "Closing at 1:30 today", so I don't recommend aiming for "last call." They have such a wonderful asset -- a nostalgic ice cream counter -- and are tragically disrespecting it. This used to be an adorable lunch spot and ice cream parlor, and the business is now a shell of what it once was. Rather than redo their menu board, though, they have simply covered up all of the grill items they used to serve with painter's tape -- an almost ironic echo to a time before complete apathy set in. It's sad. I mean, nowhere near as sad as the faces of little kids who had the unbelievable audacity to expect that they could get ice cream on a Saturday, but still pretty sad.
