The cvs pharmacy here is open 24 hours in case you need an emergency refill. The pharmacist was nice enough to fill our prescription as soon as we checked in for pick up and it was done in less than 10 minutes. This was around 1am. The customers outside and inside he store is a little sketchy. Be careful because there are some drunk bums that may want to pick a fight. read more

Pharmacy is awful lately and then with the drive thru window closed on weekends, even worse. They don't get meds out on time and they are very nonchalant about it. I waited seven days for my moms meds which were for seizures. Was supposed to be three days from the auto refill date which they never auto refilled even though I called. Then they gave three days of pills to hold her over. Then they said in three days it would be another two days. Wtf! And the flippancy in which it was handled was ridiculous. Another thing is one of the pharmacists in January gave my moms one time courtesy through Ins to the rehab center rep that lost her inhaler bc the rep lied and said my mom lost it. Do better. Bc these incidents and I've only mentioned two are causes for further action and although I've yet to take them if CVS keeps messing around w peoples meds and money it's going to be an issue. read more

I can say that the pharmacy usually carries the meds I need. However, when calling, the automated portion it is exceeding infuriating. When I need to speak to someone and it is a quick question, I NEVER get someone. I have to leave a voicemail. read more

If I could give less stars I would. The pharmacy tech closed the pharmacy for lunch when i was next in line and now I have to wait to get my antibiotic prescription until they're done eating. I understand that people need and deserve lunch breaks, but why are they all going together and closing the pharmacy? That makes zero sense to me. Imagine if all retail stores closed at random times because everyone went on break together? It's RIDICULOUS. So now I'm sitting here in the parking lot waiting for The 24 hour pharmacy to reopen. The worst customer service ever. Bought an Apple gift card. The employee at checkout did not activate it properly and I couldn't redeem. When I went to the store l, the manager on duty, Adeena, was extremely rude and confrontational. She lied a number of times just to get rid of me. She threatened to call security and was all in my face, like a street thug. I was very composed and professional. I called Apple on speakerphone and they confirmed in front of her the card was never activated and was part of a bad batch. She completely ignored me and had another employee just give me the value in cash, then they pulled all the Apple gift cards, apparently a bad batch. No apology from Adeena for my ruined evening or hostile and unprofessional behavior. She refused to identify herself or provide any supervisor info. Refused to take my complaint seriously and tried to kick me out of the store by threats or lies. She needs to be let go. A stain on otherwise OK store. What a shame. read more

Avoid at all costs. Ive had multiple miscommunications which led to me being vacant of several of my medications, Lithium included. Today i went in to fill a medication. A med ive been filling at this cvs for about a year. I brought the bottle with me to make sure there were no mistakes. The staff worker didnt even glance at the bottle and asked me for my info. She then proceeded to tell me they needed a doctors approval to refill my script, even though on the label of the bottle, it read i had a refill left. Keep in mind she still hasnt looked at the bottle. I then ask for the pharmacist who is as rude as they come to me. She ended up finding out THEY WERE TRYING TO FILL MY MEDS FROM A YEAR AGO. My auto refills aren't ordered... medications that I need for chronic conditions are always out of stock and I need to constantly follow up with pharmacy techs. Like many "big box" pharmacy chains, CVS is more concerned with profit than they are their customers. When it comes right down to it, the convenience of 24-hour service just isn't equal to the tremendous price differences between CVS and small, local businesses. I was filling an Rx at CVS for two years and paying $54 out of pocket for ten pills which lasted me about 8 days. I found a small shop in Linden and now pay $47 for twenty of the same pills. So now I get my meds from a store that's open 8-8 M-F and 9-6 on weekends. I can work with that schedule. My other prescription which CVS was charging me $49 for 30 pills was also transferred from CVS. I now pay $6 for 30 pills. You do the math. It's rare that I need a prescription at 2 AM. I. Fact I've never needed a prescription at 2 AM. CVS' prices are too high on everything they sell. When I see more and more stores cropping up along St George Avenue I think... That's where the money's going! But not mine... Where are you spending yours? read more

I am a CVS customer for about 22 years and get good service from the CVS on Main St in Woodbridge. Recently, i TWICE i used CVS Rahway for a prescription because my local CVS pharmacy was out of stock. The first time they texted me to let me know they had my order. A couple hours later I went to pick it up. i waited a half hour in line and when i got to the register i was told the order not yet prepared because there was a $44 charge and they needed my ok to buy it. I had to leave and return later and again wait in a half hour line to get my prescription. I asked the girl at the time why they had not texted me to let me know the order was on hold; she said she did not know. The second time nobody was at the second counter; there was only a girl at the register. I waited a half hour in line and was told the order was again on hold. I cursed the store loudly and repeatedly as I departed, furious. They have the worst customer service i have ever seen in a pharmacy and i will die before i go there again. read more

This was a good CVS at one time but ever since they got new people working in the pharmacy department it's horrible. They give you the wrong prescriptions, don't refill the right pills mess up the dose and times, and the entire stuff are rude, not friendly and prejudice. I like the stuff that's here but most of the time, it's pricey, but I still get stuff. The selection of makeup is really nice, especially for people who are into makeup or drugstore makeup only. I like to buy my Neutrogena Makeup Remover, it works fabulous. This store has a great variety of things from nails, skin care, nail care, make up, hair products, holiday items, cards, food and even electronics! Though I'm not entirely happy about some employees being cut or replaced by automatic machines but it eases up the lines I guess. Regardless, with a cvs card, you can get great deals, spend money on items and gain a good amount of points, after gaining a lot, you can redeem them! The rewards and discounts of items are really great so I recommend going to cvs instead of Walgreens. read more

It's rare that they answer the phone., Finally, I had to drive to the pharmacy get answer to my questions about a prescription that I requested a refill 2 days before and as of today I haven't received any notification on the status of the refill. read more

I am in this store at least 3-4 times a week and i spend a lot of money here. 2 lines open at the registers and 1 person in front of me being taken care of so I got in line behind him. Then she says next person on line! The other guy was in the line at the register next to me. She then says rudely and quite loud " there should only be one line so get in it" ! Pissed me off big time!! I've been a restaurant manager for 15 years so I know how customers should be treated and spoken too. Her customer service is lacking greatly and if she doesn't like her job then she shouldn't be there. She wouldn't last 5 minutes if I were her boss with that snippy attitude. I just discovered this CVS in Rahway and am thrilled. It's a huge CVS with self checkout machines. I love CVS and think I have a problem. I can wander a CVS for hours. My husband and friends make fun of me for this affliction but there's something about CVS that sucks me in. This CVS also has a great selection of beauty products- my main obsession in CVS stores. I have their rewards card, so I spend time looking through the coupons to see if there's anything I need (i.e. want). There's a cool scanny thing where you can scan your card at a machine and magic coupons pop right out! Right before your eyes! CVS has better deals than other similar big name pharmacy stores and their photo center is far superior. They have machines where you can print in minutes and order all sizes of photos, edit them, etc. The photos print right out of the machine, you don't have to deal with anyone behind the counter. I've recently used CVS.com to upload and order prints for pick-up. How cool is that? read more

The pharmacy staff is professional and knowledgeable and the hours are convenient. The store is in a little strip mall that is always dirty (check the walk in front of the store), and I don't feel safe going there at night. The self-check out always has problems and if they're busy you can stand there and watch your gum recede until someone helps you. read more

My Wife and I look after our elderly neighbor, who in the last month, had 2 rx filled for the wrong quantity of pills and the insurance company was charged. For example he only received a 30 day supply and the insurance company was billed for a 90 day supply. So when attempts were made to refill them, he was told they were denied, because it wasn't authorized. I had to prove that they were wrong and that it wasn't him. it wasn't like this was a narcotic, hes an 80 + year old Veteran. They were his heart pills and another medication I don't even know what for. I received no apology from the pharmacy, I complained to the store supervisor last night who was text book empathetic and assured me Id receive a call from the Store Manager and only after i called today, 24 hours later did I receive a phone call from the store manager. CVS generally has a good selection of everything although I have to say that the sale priced items advertised in their Sunday circular sell out quickly. Most employees are very nice and very helpful, but later in the evening they have a leaner staff so it can be hard to find someone for help or even for the register. read more

This CVS is very good. Yes, the items are pricey, but if you are a regular customer with a CVS card, you receive mail coupons for as much as 25% off all items in the store, with some restrictions, such as on sale products. The last time I used my coupon I saved $20. The coupon is good when stocking up on everyday products. Pharmacy staff is excellent. If I have one complaint, it is the automated phone call alerting you that your prescription is ready. Sometime it is, sometimes it's not. This can be frustrating, especially on Saturdays, when the pharmacy is busy and you wait in line...sometimes for nothing!
