Busy busy busy (as expected)!! But it more than makes up for busy-ness with its size. I love a good SUPER walmart. I rejoice today because my favorite (formerly discontinued) cereal is BACK ON SHELVES!!! The incomparable Waffle Crisp by post. So happy!! There were only 3 boxes left, I grabbed two. Some will understand why I am so geeked, others won't. Their loss! Lol IYKYK

    No More bags in NJ

Can anyone say culture shock. We ran into the local Walmart during our 4th of July family reunion. To our surprise but not a surprise shopping bags cost. In the state of NJ you must bring reusable bags to shop or bring your own bags. How savage! I know this protocol is to save something. However, I see people coming out the store with unban grocery. As for us, NJ we are having fun. Who let the cat out of the bag so to speak.

Worst experience I've ever had in my entire life with any establishment I brought my little cousin to visit a Walmart for the first time in her life since she's from out of the country We spent about 2 hours filling up a buggy Stopped at subways for a "break" ate about half an hour I mentioned to her I was grabbing another empty buggy to continue with our shopping since the first one is full However this lady and man confronted my cousin for passing the register line . Mind u the subways is past that line anyways so we were already past that point an hour ago. They accused us of trying to shop lift. What I am most upset about is whoever this girl is calling me a Black Bitch She looked like she was Mexican so I have no idea what gave her the right to treat us like that I proved to them we were not shop lifting at least I tried to show her We came in an Uber and now only that I have text messages with my fiancé while I was at subway explaining to him "Yea we just stopped at subway to eat.. taking a little break soon go for the rest of the stuff we need "/// because we just moved to the area so obvs we need a few things for our new place I will be taking this to court I will be filing a formal complaint against these employees. I understand "store policy" and I will not argue with that However you don't get to treat people with such hate and discriminate.

The workers are so rude here. You ask for help and they ignore you At the deli and bakery. It's noon and there is not hot food out. Their shelves are not even stocked up a lot of empty shelves. There's not too many prepared foods either.

A small glimpse of how empty the shelves are at 8am on a Tuesday morning.

I like to come to Walmart because a lot of times this store is cheaper than going to the grocery store. However, it's almost not worth it when you come in at 8 am and the shelves are EMPTY! I get it, Christmas is in 3 days. But you opened at 6 am. There's like 50 customers in this store. How are your shelves already empty?! And not one single hand cart to be found!!! Wtf. Also, the service is GOD AWFUL! They close customer service so early at 8 pm. Shut down one entrance/exit of the store so you have to walk so far to get in and out. Makes no sense. I came here a couple weeks ago to get a Christmas tree and the one I wanted was on a top shelf and there was no one around to help me get out down. I found a woman and she said oh that's not my section. I said ok, can you get someone to help me then? She said go to toys. I said I walked all around this area and you're the only one I've seen! REFUSED TO HELP ME!!!! Finally after walking through toys I asked for help. This woman was also reluctant in helping me. Listen, just get the person who works in this section to come help me! I worked in retail for 4 years! I know how it works. She eventually came over with a ladder and helped me. But it was like I had to sell my first child to get her to. Absolutely ridiculous.

Just off Route 1 and 9 South in Linden, NJ at the former GM plant site, this is their newest location and my go to place right before work. Parking is never an issue as it's huge. The store is spacious where their aisles are clean and wide. For most part, their shelves are always being re-stocked when I'm visiting them in the morning. The area surrounding this place is currently in the construction mode for new stores. I recommend this place.

Another day on the hunt for Lysol but I needed a couple of other things as well. I arrived and parked in the parking lot and seen there was a line to get in. I went to stand in it and it moved at a decent pace. When I got in I went to see if they had any Lysol and of course they didn't. So I proceeded to get my other items and they had what I needed. The associates were helpful and patient with all that I needed.

    Locked cabinets

I've been waiting for 10 minutes for the cashier in cosmetics to help me get an item in the cabinet. He said he needed to cash out any customer cashing out first. Then I waited another 5 minutes before another lady walked by helping someone else get into the cabinet. Very disorganized and absolute chaos

You know something, and this might sound Corny to NYers but THIS is one of the reasons why I LOVE living in Jersey...WALMART lol! Yes, I have lived in BK for many years, but I would NEVER move back to NYC . I like being able to drive around and discover new places. Walmart, Costco, outdoor malls..WHATEVER! It's all here in Jersey! EAT YOUR HEART OUT NEW YORK! Lol I digress....on to the review! This is the new SUPER Super Walmart! Omgosh is this one HUGE! I have nevver been to one this big before. Very OVERWHELMING! Omg babies crying, kids screaming - total pandemonium and chaos lol! I knew from the drive in tHe parking lot that I was gonna be in trouble. But it's a SATURDAY, and what do Jerzians like to do best on Saturday-SHOP! Very exhausted walking through this store bc it's not liKe your regular WM you go to and know where everything is. Plus with the crowd it was difficult to stroll and take your time. But I was brave and glad I was and wouldn't mind checking it out again, maybe on a Monday, say around 10ish, maybe it won't be so bad then. Other than the crowd, typical WM stuff-can't find shit, terrible workers and lines. But what else is new :-p

The entire Walmart portfolio has moved to 1050 W Edgar road. This is a new revamped Walmart with grocery, home & pharmacy and all the services into one roof. The place is huge with lots of parking space. I had a pickup order during thanksgiving from this place and google maps took me to the old Walmart location which was a couple of blocks away from their new location and to the opposite side of the street. They have this board outside letting customers know that they have changed their location which thankfully, wasn't that far away and was just a couple of minutes drive. All that being said, this Walmart is huge and this shopping complex is still adding a few other stores. The pickup process was very simple. You first have to check in with your Walmart app. Once you're checked in, head on to the store. They have this huge board just as you enter for pickup and you scan your barcode and get your item. I did a little grocery shopping as well after my pickup. One can hardly go wrong with Walmart purchases be it electronics or general grocery shopping. They have excellent customer service and the entire process was seamless (except for the change in location of the store).

    Long spacious isles

Newly opened Walmart at a former GM plant in Linden. Like other Walmart Super Stores, isles were spacious and well stocked. Everything was very well organized. Plenty of personnel around for assistance. I was impressed with the refrigeration in the meat department. Refrigerator bins that are usually opened and caked with ice in other supermarkets, have plastic lids on them thus keeping the temperatures more uniformed and moisture out. Checking out was a breeze. Even though the store was very busy, there were an abundance of cashiers and self-checkouts; hardly any waiting. The store has a Subways restaurant, money service center, and nails & beauty salon in the front. Shopping center has plenty of parking unlike the older Walmart across the highway. I usually don't shop in that old Walmart because of crowded isles, lack of parking, and long check out lines but I will definitely shop at this location again.

This was a total bummer for me. I was really looking forward to shopping at this Inspirations…read morelocation because it was so large and I've had good luck at other locations in the past. There's a large selection of clothes and a huge selection of shoes. However, everything is extremely expensive for a thrift store. Yes, everything is in good condition and some pieces are brand new. However, 80% of the tops I looked at were priced at $12 and above. I was shocked. I was so distracted by the prices, I couldn't look at the clothes. I definitely saw tons of things I liked but some sweatshirts and sweaters were $25, which is equal to what you'd pay for a brand new clothing item in TJ Maxx or Marshall's. The upside is that mostly everything is a name brands and there are a few vintage pieces hidden in the racks. But the prices are unjustifiable for a used clothing store. $25 for a used Colombia sweater? I tried on a brand new one at TJ Maxx the other day for $34. At that point, I might as well spend the extra few dollars and buy it new. I really couldn't justify buying used clothes for these prices. Another thing I noticed was that many sweaters were $22 and $24 and so were the jackets! To me, that didn't make any sense. How are the jackets the same price? I even saw a jacket on the rack marked at $99 which is something I'd expect for behind the register. Despite the prices, there was a large selection of scarves, shoes, and seasonal home goods (Christmas and Halloween). There's one aisle of books which looked to be mostly children's from my quick glance, and a wall of purses that were again over priced. I picked up a large wristlet and it was $10, which again I couldn't justify spending. The quality of the clothing is good, don't get me wrong, but the prices really turned me off. I didn't get anything and I didn't spend much time hunting in here once I saw how things were priced. The purpose of thrifting to me is getting something gently used for a great bargain. Great bargains were hard to find here for me. They do offer 50% off for certain tag colors, which was white when I went, but I didn't find one item with this tag. All of the clothing seemed to be tagged in a pink/orange color. One positive of this store is that it's separated by size and there seems to be a good amount of plus sized clothes here. If you're a traditional thriftier, I wouldn't suggest this location. If you don't mind spending $$$ for secondhand clothes, then this is the place for you.

I came here before my vacation looking for a casual pocketbook I could take on the airplane. I thought the shop was adorable and even took some pictures for Yelp. The shop is located in an old house, which adds to the charm but limits those with mobility issues As the only way in are steep stairs. There is a nice selection of pocket books, clothing and accessories. The young lady who works there was very friendly and helpful. I purchased a pocketbook for my vacation and fell in love with another pocketbook but decided against buying it for the price. Ah, girls and their pocketbooks because I couldn't stop thinking of it! I came back the same day, before closing and ended up buying the second pocketbook for work. I put the pocketbook in my closet and left for vacation with the casual pocketbook. Well this morning before heading back to work, I decided to take it out and opened it to put my wallet in and saw it was damaged..ugh! Mind you, I should have inspected the purse further before buying it. But I was so happy with the first purchase that I didn't think to inspect the interior. Seeing the price, I am annoyed that I wasn't told about this. Look at the picture! I loved the store, but would be more cautious about purchasing a pocketbook here. Lesson learned, I will definitely inspect it carefully next time.
