What a TERRIBLE pharmacy! For starters they take forever to answer the phone - the first time I called I waited for 30 minutes before someone answered the phone! I was recently in a car accident and fractured my sternum and three ribs. I don't live in this area but use the CVS by my house and this one is close to my mother's, where I'm staying while I recuperate. My doctor called in a prescription for pain medication and the pharmacist originally said she could only fill 7 days of the script due to insurance (ok, fine), then she said she had to talk to my doctor because of the nature of the prescription. If they had known this, why didn't they call when I spoke to them earlier? Then she refused to fill it! Gand they FINALLY filled the script. If you expect decent customer service or help because you're in pain or sick, DON'T Go to this CVS location, you won't find it here! read more

This pharmacy is the worst. Takes up to five days to fill a prescription even for an new script for an antibiotic (which the Dr. wants you to take immediately). I was waiting for the pharmacy to open (the gate was still down even though it was past opening time) and the pharmacy staff was swearing and dropping "f" bombs which could be clearly heard by waiting customers. A young woman who was answering the phone spent most of her time immitating a character from a movie with other staff and laughing while at he same time checking info on the computer. Even though there are lines of customers waiting for prescriptions to be filled, the staff is joking around and discussing non-business issues loudly enough for custtomers to hear. If I could give 0 stars or even negative stars they'd get it. To be in a better place compared to other pharmacies this place is just objectively piss poor. The drive thru pharmacy folks seem to think they can police customers who are smoking in THEIR OWN cars BUT don't ask them to actually do their jobs because they move at the approximate speed of " I don't give a ___". I've seen their cashiers up front care more about trying to stop petty thieves than the customer experience. Newsflash to those cashiers, you aren't loss prevention & if that's what you want to do then by all means hang up the cashier jersey & apply for an LP position. Last time I came here apparently the pharmacy tech or whatever the title was either didn't put in for a refill like he said he would or their system failed to complete his request because my refill wasn't taken care of, shocking. I don't know who the manager of this store is or even the regional manager of the local stores are but they should absolutely be embarrassed by the people they employ and their inability to do their job functions properly. I'm not even asking for above and beyond service because I get it, hardly anyone grows up wishing to work at CVS but come the F on, take a pinch of pride in your work, yourself & your company. If you're unhappy seek another job but don't take it out in the people keeping the place open, the CUSTOMERS! Last but not least it's not out of the norm to spend 40-60 minutes waiting on medication refills or anything involving the pharmacy. If you've got staffing issues that's a company issue & again a reason to be embarrassed & maybe strive to do better. It seems they give people longer than anticipated wait times so that folks don't wait for their meds. Their MEDICINES, you know the stuff people need to survive in this year our lord 2023! This will hopefully be my final time having to put up with this place & the ineptitude. I'm sure I just wasted my time and some clown who makes money to be mediocre will read this and think " oh just another Karen/Ken" but if you don't believe me, go here for yourself & just do me a favor and leave some feedback I don't care if it's positive if you had a positive experience. read more

My only issue has been recently. The store is fine. It's the pharmacy drive-thru staff that is going down hill. Let me explain: It seems like the drive-thru staff is getting a little testy. Let me point out that--I can only imagine what it must be like to deal with people who need drugs on a daily basis or people whose insurance changes on a monthly or yearly basis. It has got to get a little hectic in that small space of a pharmacy BUT I am still the customer and the one with the health issues and the one who has to deal with my insurance company and their rates and changes SO I guess what I want to stress in this review is...... CVS and this particular one on Dutchess Turnpike needs to relax a little. The Pharmacists are always chill but a couple of the support staff are kinda nasty lately, like when I dropped off a script at the drive-thru, then they told me to come back at a certain time saying it would be filled, I wait, then come back and they tell me to pull over and wait another 20 minutes because they didn't get to it yet. Wait, what? I guess this is what is frustrating at this particular pharmacy--to me. It wasn't this bad in the past. They just seem SO busy nowadays, I guess the staff should be more accurate with how much time they need and not get nasty when I ask why my guaranteed wait time is not upheld. This one young woman recently snapped at me after she told me to pull over because my script was still not ready so she could help the person behind me. She snaps after I ask why my script isn't done when she said it would be: "we can't call everybody and let them know we didn't get to their script!" Whoa.....Okay, maybe not but don't sent me a text saying it's filled, or a confirmed wait-time online, or better yet a verbal confirmation-like you did- from your lips saying when to come back. I have to work too young lady I can't camp out in your parking lot waiting for my antibiotics. This infection needs some tending to! read more

Whoever decided the "V" in CVS stands for value (okay, I actually know, I looked it up) either deserves a medal for marketing or needs to be lynched. I will grant you that this store is in a good location and has a good pharmacy. It also has a few good loss-leaders (but today those were pretty much just Cheerios and plush toys). But overall, the prices here rate high. And I don't mean as high in value, I mean high in number/cost. As I walked through the store, I noted prices here noticeably higher than the same items in large chain department stores and even nearby competing chains like Walgreens. I don't even know why they bother to sell food here. I priced distilled water - something I buy during the winter for my humidifier - it was twice as much as I would pay at Target or Wal-Mart. If this were the last place to buy it, I'd rather melt snow. If you are a regular shopper here, you do get some cost relief with store card discounts and register-receipt coupons for discounts on future visits. But even so, it's challenging for this store to be competitive. read more

4 people working behind the pharmacy counter and it takes 20 mins for me to get my prescription cream from the box on the shelf, to the pharmacist, to the technician, to the cashier to my hand. Get it together CVS. And open at 10am, means open for business. It does not mean, "oh, just let me get this computer going, oh.. the computers are so slow this morning. Come in 10 mins early and turn on the computers. And I agree with Bill Z., the prices are not what bring bodies in, you really have to manage your "extra bucks" to get any bargains. read more
