I tried to get my prescriptions from the doctor at CVS. First of all, their customer service is a joke. I witnessed them talking rudely to customers. They seemed bothered by questions and did not have much patience. The staff is very dismissive! You wait awhile to pick up prescriptions and to talk with the pharmacist. I'm surprised that it's not automatic that they go over prescriptions with customers. I can just imagine how many customers walk off without knowing much about their medication. read more

I only come here for the pharmacy and that's pretty much it. I have bought some OTC medicine before but that's about it. I do know that the pharmacy is decent when I do go and I never really have issues and if I do they fix it. They do text you as well when your order is ready. The pharmacist that I did talk to today was very nice and helped me out with no hesitations. The store was fully stocked and not that busy. Furthermore, I come to this CVS because it is convenient. Location 4 stars: On the East end of the Porter Ranch Town Center, off of Rinaldi and Corbin, next to Ralphs. Plenty of free parking. Venue 2.5 stars: Large, clean store. A couple of odd things are that the pharmacy closes for lunch while the store is open and the store and the pharmacy have different opening and closing times (the store opens earlier and closes later). This is definitely inconvenient and hard to know before you go. It used to be that these large drug stores had 24 hour pharmacies which is a godsend when you have a sick child at home who needs medicine right away, but I guess those days are long gone :( Merchandise and Selection 2 stars: While officially a drug store, besides the customary pharmacy items (prescription and OTC drugs, vaccines/shots), they carry a bit of everything to resemble a huge general store or convenience store: soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, snacks, batteries, make-up, toiletries, chocolate and gifts, gift cards, photo services, personal electronics accessories, etc. etc., you name it! Set up is a bit chaotic and "all over the place" and it is not easy to find things. Sometimes you will see items such as (for example) reading glasses on multiple stands scattered throughout the store. Prices 2 stars: Pharmacy and OTC drugs' prices are on par with other pharmacies and drug stores. Everything else is priced like you would see at a Walgreens in a touristy area in Hollywood, Vegas or Waikiki, except that this is suburban residential Porter Ranch :D. I sometimes wonder who buys non-pharmacy items from CVS since there are so many better options nearby. They do every once in a while have great specials and coupons, but you need to be on constant lookout to find out about them. The Last Word 2.5 stars: Great for the convenience of filling and refilling prescriptions and when you need something in a jiffy. Proximity to my house and parking are great also! read more

I visited this location during the last week of August this year. The employee Michael allowed a homeless person of his same ethnicity to enter the store and carry out a free item. I wasn't aware CVS condones their employees not only allowing theft but also assisting in its participation. I saw Michael as I was perusing through the store, step from behind the counter-mind you this isn't his lunch nor was he away long enough to be off the clock. I watched him walk outside and the merchandise alert went off upon him exiting. He stayed outside for about 2 to 3 minutes, which was odd. I figured he may have tripped the alarm while he walked out to make it appear on camera that the theft alarm by the door was malfunctioning. To be clear, the alarm went off only when Micheal stepped off first, then the homeless man with the merchandise walked out with his "free" item. Not only did the homeless man never use the self-check out, Michael "happened" to step out just long enough not to see the homeless man walk out, although the alarm went off a second time upon the homeless man exiting the door. The movement looked staged and there were very circumspect behaviors around the so-called employee and the homeless man. This location allows thievery and they are highly nepotistic in their business practices. Sadly, there are other things I've come to be aware of in regards to not just Michael but three others employed by or at this specific location. 2/14/2025 - I went to this CVS Pharmacy at 8:35 PM to get my dentist prescription of AMOXICILLIN 500 MG CAPSULE as antibiotics drugs. While waiting for in a line, I was told there were 25+ people waiting in line for getting their prescriptions three days ago. When I am ready to pickup my medicine, I was told there were only 14 capsule left, but one of gentlemen waiting in line also needs the same antibiotics drugs. As a result, I can only get six capsules for three day tonight and will receive a call in two days to get the remaining capsules. First, we all must thank this store for opening the Pharmacy until 9:00 PM from M to F, and 6:00 PM on weekends, which give those who need to get a prescription drug urgently at night. A nearby Kaiser Pharmacy (KP) is closed at 6:00 PM daily but closed completely on weekend. Second, the Pharmacy needs to have a better inventory management because this is an essential medication that should not run out at any time. Third, I am impressed that the CVS Pharmacy offers a a competitive pricing on this item (at $13.99 per manager tonight) because my co-payment from KP is at either $10 or $15 for the same item. I had my birthday gift card funds stolen because of gift cards sitting out in the open with no one around to watch them. It was an ordeal with CVS corporate. They had me get all this information from the person who gave me my gift card. I got it all and gave it to them. Only to have them tell me sorry there is nothing we can do. Their customer service is horrible. They wouldn't let me to speak to someone hire up. They told me they are rectifying the situation by moving the gift cards behind the counters with employees. Well fast forward 7 months.... Guess what, they are still out for thieves to steel the information and get the money you might upload as a gift for someone. This pharmacy either needs to close down or learn better customer service etiquette. I got to the pharmacy 10 min before their lunch break was over. I waited patiently...People gotta eat! I get it. I waited in the drop box line. I was the first one there. At 1:00 pm on the dot they opened and the woman that helped me was nice. I explained that I got a call back the previous day regarding my prescription and there was a question about my insurance. She looked over the prescription, asked for my insurance card and it was resolved. Next thing she tells me is that now I need to stand in line to pay. I ask her what she means by that and she says this is the drop box, now you need to stand in line to pay. I ask her why I can't pay it where I am and she says that I can't. I explain that I waited 10 min for them to open, was the first one there and now there's a very long line to pay. She smiled and said, sorry, you need to stand in the pay line. What kind of customer service is this? She could've charged me right there or, at a minimum, walked the prescription to one of the cash register people and told them to charge me. Ever since I've moved to this cvs. They rarely text me regarding my medication. And every time I go there to update my prescription notifications they forget to text me when my prescription is ready. Also I few people working there have a bad attitude. And lines can get so long. I've waiting 30 minutes before. You can't even sit if you are disabled while waiting in line. Showed up at 10:00am when the store opened. The pharmacist was late and showed up at 10:16am with an attitude. The pharmacist's name was Ani. She currently is on the phone talking to a coworker of hers and venting about the situation while getting my prescription ready. Not professional at all. She ended up helping other patients who came after me, rather than filling my prescription. She keeps saying, I am closing up shop if I don't have a filler. She is still on the phone complaining. The store is an absolute mess. Shelves not restocked, or cleaned up of miss placed items for days. Only one employee present. And this person is dealing with multiple costumers at one time. Went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Website says the pharmacy is closed for lunch from 12:30 to 1. Get to the pharmacy counter and there is a hand written note that it is closed from 1:30 to 2:00 on Saturday and Sunday. I've given CVS in Porter Ranch a few tries now but after this last time I will never again set foot in this dumpster fire of a store. Customer service in this store is non-existent. Nobody on the floor to help you and nobody from behind the counter can stop to assist. Additionally, the line at the pharmacy counter is always (and I do mean always) unreasonably long. After waiting in this ridiculous line, I was treated with contempt by the clerk when it became clear that they screwed up my prescription. I canceled the order which of course caused a problem with my insurance. Ralph's next door has its own pharmacy and they were able to help me quickly and solve the problem CVS created. Flu season's coming and flue vaccines are starting to become available. Despite what the huge sign at the front says, walk-ins are turned down. This sign should be removed if it can't be honored. You are better off somewhere else if you intend to just walk in. Mind you that I came around 9:30 in the morning, and there was no one in line for a flu shot. I was also the only one in line. It's broken. The people that work here seem ok. However, the system as a whole as broken and it's dangerous. CVS pharmacy needs to be investigated and shut down until it's fixed. It's more than long lines. I've been using this exact location for over 10 years and it's always been broken. I keep returning as it's very convenient. However this last prescription was the final straw. They first denied that the prescription was called in, which I confirmed with doctor. Then over the next 6 hours I was told the prescription was not ready for pick up. Then they finally told me to come in an hour before closing. I get there and they tell me prescription is out of stock. Come back tomorrow. I return tomorrow and was told it didn't make it yet and will be notified when it's ready. 2 days later they text me that it will be ready next week. The prescription is for a child with ear infection. Really, it'll take 9 days to get a common medicine? Good thing Porter Ranch Pharmacy across the street saved the day. My doctor transferred prescription there and I was in and out with medicine in 10 minutes. read more

The response from the pharmacist "we close in two minutes" with an attitude and an eye roll. Not sure why that was the response I was given.
