There appears to be little to no efficiency in how the store is run. Staffing always seems inadequate, and customers are left waiting far longer than reasonable just to complete basic transactions. Whether it's the pharmacy or the front registers, the process feels disorganized and unnecessarily slow. This location seriously needs better management of workflow and staffing because the current experience is frustrating for customers. Until major improvements are made, I would strongly recommend going to a different pharmacy if you have the option.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got a carefully-worded apology from the manager, promising to raise my concerns with the pharmacy staff. Based on the response from management it is my impression that this experience was not the norm and that the issue was in fact handled. Also based on this response, it is my feeling that the store is generally well-run. Nothing is perfect but responsive management is a very good sign. Overall the staff treat customers well and customer concerns are taken seriously. You can't really ask for more than that and so I will continue to patronize this store.

If you've ever used a RURAL pharmacy before, you'll discover at some point or other a very specific situation that crops up from time to time: a pharmacy may run a little low on specific meds that can be quite popular to prescribe with doctors/physican assistants/ RN practitioners - and there is only so much (volume-wise) that can be met, all things told. But there IS a "flip side" to this story - its not ALWAYS that a pharmacy runs out per se - MANY times it is a matter of drug suppliers running out themselves !! Barre Family Pharmacy is such a cornerstone in our daily lives that I can promise you that I can, with little afterthought, tell you the names of each and every pharmacist that works there, each and every day.
