Incredibly uncomfortable experience.. I come here regularly due to a Drs office being close by. I've been using this location about a year now. Today I added an insurance due to personal reasons that are not the pharmacy's business and the woman who took the info acted weird about it and almost refused to add for me. Then I go to sit and wait on a script and I can very easily overhear her talking to a male that I assume is a pharmacist saying "I don't think we should add that" and she's very clearly referring to me. Incredibly rude and judgmental. Just because you see me standing in a uniform that is very recognizable and I'm adding a gov insurance doesn't give you the right to judge the situation. You don't know what's going on and tbh it's absolutely Zero of your personal business. I don't need to break down what's going on with my work and situation to you guys. I'll be taking my scripts to a different pharmacy besides cvs at a town closer to where I work or live VS giving you people my business. It's no wonder your ratings are so low. Rude, unprofessional and judgmental. Grow up and act professional with your customers and if you can't at least wait until they can't hear you to talk crap about them. read more

Calling to check if my prescription was filled was a breeze. Only had to wait in the drive-through about 15 minutes with four cars ahead of me. The pharmacist who assisted me was very friendly and helpful, which was by far the best part of the experience. He was really a great guy with a positive attitude. read more

Terrible wait times. Like hours in the car line to get prescriptions. Probably due to Covid etc. but awful having to wait so long.

Just absolutely, hands down the worst experience of my life. Poorly organized, rude, and not an ounce of customer service skills. I waited for 44 minutes in the drive through lane with four cars ahead of me, and when I drive up to the window they told me the lane was closed and to get back in the other lane. Sometimes they are good, often they are not good. The blame is not on the workers. It's on the Company! Way too many people for the staff to handle. They don't call you to tell you a medication is not approved by it insurance or if it's out of stock. I have a double ear infection right now and have essentially been waiting for my medication since 9:30 yesterday. It's 3:30 the next day and I am still waiting for it to be filled. My health insurance only lets me fill at CVS. IF CVS feels the need to monopolize the pharmacy industry then they need to put more money into the customer service and staffing. This is unacceptable. I would much rather go to Walgreens down the street where I never had these problems. Do better as a company CVS!! read more

Horrible wait times. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Waited well over an hour. In that hour I saw several people upset about various things, like perception not ready, drugs not in stock, and other to be told they have to come back. There is obvious tension behind the counter in the pharmacy. read more

If I could I would give zero stars. Their pharmacy is horrible. I waited on a long line for 20 minutes, then the person at the counter told me that I had to go to a different CVS for my father's prescription. I then called the other store and they told me no, it was their store (366 King St). So obviously I was angry and didn't want to have to wait on the long line all over again. The manager, Jason, did give me the prescription but rather than apologizing he told me "People make mistakes" and to "stop complaining." I agree that people do make mistakes and I can accept that but usually pharmacy staff would at least apologize for the mistake and esp for nearly sending me completely out of my way to the wrong store delaying covid medicine for my 90 year old father!. I also couldn't believe that the guy that told me the wrong thing simply avoided eye contact and said nothing to me. Anyway no surprises here as I've always had terrible experiences at CVS pharmacy but was unfortunately forced to go here since SERIO'S in Northampton (a far superior pharmacy in every way) did not carry the prescription. Let's get rid of CVS and bring back old school pharmacies now! read more

CVS IS awful. The pharmacy is way too busy ALWAYS. I've never not waited in a long line. Typical that I lm directed to wait in a line only to find out I have to go wait in another line. I just waited at drive up window for 15 minutes to then be told they're going to need 15 minutes to get my script and I need to come back. And I can't just pick it up and go, I need to wait in... guess what?? Another LINE. The service is poor, they all look frustrated and over worked. They rush you and are quick to scoot you along because they're way too busy. My health insurance forces me to use CVS. Walgreens is much much better and I miss that pharmacy. read more

I stopped by CVS in Amherst to pick up a prescription for Diltiazen. They refilled a prescription that I did not ask for.....not sure why. They handed me Wixela, charging me $47.00. Upon arriving home, I discovered the error, and telephoned CVS immediately. The clerk was rude and impatient. She rushed through her questions. I don't know whether she heard what I tried to say or not. I tried to explain the mistake to her. She was rude to me. I carefully repeated that I needed the Diltiazen. She said that I need to contact my doctor. Then I told her that I wanted to return the Wixela, and she stated that CVS will not accept it as a return. By the way, the package has not been opened. Terrible customer service and a cavalier attitude toward customers at this corporate pharmacy. No help whatsoever in trying to resolve a problem with an RX. Instead, just blamed me for the mistake they made. I yearn for the days of small locally owned pharmacies where good customer service was the key. They have made several mistakes with various RXs I've had filled there. Going to move all of my business to a place I can trust with my medical needs. They claim to have drive up service so you don't have to go inside and potentially expose yourself to Covid - well when wait times are 15 minutes per car - and there are usually several in line - that's not acceptable. They need to do their covid testing somewhere other than the prescription pick up line or else don't claim they offer prescription pick up. read more

The worst excuse for a pharmacy. Not only do they refill prescriptions that you have not asked for ...hoping that you will just take and pay for them. the lines to pickup meds is insane. then you arrive at the counter and the prescription that was promised for a certain time is not ready..they tell you well we will expedite it just wait 20minutes, how do you expedite something that is already late????? my most recent encounter my meds were out of stock for over a week, i called the pharmacist to inquire and he hung up on me. the next person i spoke to promised to call me back with an update. no call. i checked the website and it said they would be ready by 8pm wed. when they were not ready and i phoned they said they would expedite the already over 1 week late meds. when i went in to pick up the meds i asked for the contact info for the district manager, when the tech asked the pharmacist for the information the reply was why? I was told to speak to the manager. well i dont have that information..is what i was told. stay away from cvs especially king st northampton. read more

Craptastic pharmacy. It feels like Groundhog Day when I call these people, having to explain my order over and over, again and again. I've lost count of how many times I've had to call them to fix a scrip. Every refill has required a call there from my doctor. They change stories when you call them on it. You have to wonder who's counting the pills in there. The store itself is okay, if unremarkable. The pharmacy: stay away! read more

I work in a Dr's office in the area & call in a lot of rx's, however, the lady pharmacist is so terribly RUDE, she acts like you are putting her out to call in a script ( yes, you even get the exasperated sounds from her) & then I say thank you & she never says anything & then you hear a dial tone because she hangs up on you, I can totally understand a bad day but she is so VERY RUDE, I have no idea how they have customers with her, its to the point I cringe having to call that particular store. CVS King St. Northampton is the best pharmacy ever!!! Period. The people are about as customer service positive as a business can get. Here's why I say this: - I was in tears of confusion as to why my doctor and my insurance could not help with my prescription. The pharmacist, asked if she could call both of them on my behalf to fix the issue. I said, "Yes." By the next morning, the issue was cleared up and my $90 dollar prescription was at the proper insurance covered $10 cost. - Depressed that my ruptured ear drum was my fault, the Minute Clinic doctor called a couple of days later to see how I was doing, whether the ear was getting better, and whether I was going to see my primary physician regarding. - Every member of the staff has always been patient, kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, interested, personable, and respectful. I just can't say enough positive things about this "chain" drug store. This CVS is superior to local pharmacies in all respects. read more

Probably some of the worst customer service I've ever received from some of these techs. I come in to pick of a Rx and the guy at the counter doesn't say anything, doesn't even smile, just stares at me until I have to awkwardly greet him and tell him who I am and what I need. I mean, I get being in a bad mood and I don't need sunshine and over enthusiasm when I come in, but come on, even the slightest acknowledgment that I'm there would be great. Then when I call trying to explain a problem I have I get rudely interrupted mid sentence to ask for my name and birthday. I get you want to move a long but it's not like I had you on the phone for 20 min. I personally am going to be bringing my business elsewhere because I'm very done with just the rudeness of the staff at the pharmacy. read more

Worst pharmacy around! Called last night to request a refill. Went at 6pm tonight to pick it up and still wasn't ready. The long wait for prescriptions is ridiculous. Will not be going back to the CVS pharmacy on king street again! read more

This review is for the pharmacy itself and not the store. Unreliable at filling prescriptions when and how they should be filled, rude on the telephone (interruptions and snarky tone), but you'd better keep your own tone sweet as pie, regardless of how rude or incompetent they are, or they will hang up on you, and you'll be on hold another ten minutes trying to get to a live person again. read more

The pharmacy constantly runs out medications. I go to refill my medications, it can be thursday and they tell me the meds won't be in until tuesday!!! Cvs is a drugstore, it's suppose to have drugs! I spoke with the pharmacy manager and she stated that they get a lot of prescriptions from people that were in the er. That was her explanation action of why they run out of medications. It's not even usual meds they run out of; twice they ran out of prednisone. Another few times was Prilosec. I don't understand why they can't keep enough stocked! Another complaint i have is the long wait in line to pick up/pay for meds. There will be a line with 5 or 6 people and they won't open another register. That number doesn't sound so bad, but frequently, when people pay for their meds, they have a cart full of items which they pay for at the pharmacy register. This happened every time i went there and sometimes the line would be 10 deep!!! I'm glad i switched pharmacys!! No more headaches from them!!! read more

I switched to this pharmacy a few years ago because it has slightly longer hours than Stop and Shop. I regret it though because this pharmacy has made lots of mistakes...just about everything short of issuing the wrong medication. Long lines most of the time. Regular store part is fine. read more

This pharmacy offers mediocre service at best. Last month I typed my prescription refill in on a Thursday for a Friday pick-up. But when I got there to pick it up they said it wasn't ready, so --after a half-hour wait -- I went to another appointment. When I came back to pick it up, they said that the prescription wouldn't be available until Monday afternoon (when I was going to be out of town). (They hadn't checked the prescription requests on Thursday night.) They made a couple of calls to other local pharmacies for me, then gave up and gave me a list to call. I called about fifteen other places in the area; none of them had the drug (a very expensive one) in stock. To make a very long story short, I eventually had to call CVS and ask them to FAX the prescription to a CVS in Manhattan, where I was going to be. I luckily had enough pills to last until Tuesday, but this was what I'd call serious pharmacy malpractice. read more
