But some of my drugs require prior authorization and I'm actually not sure this crew understands what the process is and what their role is. Over the past two weeks I talked to them plenty of times. I only got more confused. They never gave the same convuluted answer twice. And each time they became increasingly annoyed with me. When they had been especially snotty and as unhelpful as usual, I asked them to wipe all my prescriptions. I moved. Interestingly enough, I had ALL my prescriptions in hand the second day I signed up for the new pharmacy. And they called me a few times to make sure I understood the arcane process that is prior authorization. Don't go here unless you don't need much more than aspirin.

Almost 2 years later, it seems that my complaints about retail prescription substitutions are more closely being watched. However, Mr. Smaili continues to display reluctance in properly completing his duties as pharmacist. I reported concerns that he was acting more like a salesman than a pharmacist with vaccines given my awareness of health informatics; and so I shared that information with another paraprofessional at the pharmacist who didn't seem willing to consider the documents about ethical pharmaceutical dispensation that I provided from the national institute of health and PUBMED library databases.

Today I added an insurance due to personal reasons that are not the pharmacy's business and the woman who took the info acted weird about it and almost refused to add for me. Then I go to sit and wait on a script and I can very easily overhear her talking to a male that I assume is a pharmacist saying "I don't think we should add that" and she's very clearly referring to me. Incredibly rude and judgmental. Just because you see me standing in a uniform that is very recognizable and I'm adding a gov insurance doesn't give you the right to judge the situation. You don't know what's going on and tbh it's absolutely Zero of your personal business. I don't need to break down what's going on with my work and situation to you guys. I'll be taking my scripts to a different pharmacy besides cvs at a town closer to where I work or live VS giving you people my business. It's no wonder your ratings are so low. Rude, unprofessional and judgmental. Grow up and act professional with your customers and if you can't at least wait until they can't hear you to talk crap about them.

The pharmacist who assisted me was very friendly and helpful, which was by far the best part of the experience. He was really a great guy with a positive attitude.

My wife had a minor injury and was told to try using crutches. She went into Hometown Medical…read moreSupply of Northampton on June 2, 2011, and purchased a pair of Guardian Aluminum Crutches for $45.99. It turned out that it was impractical for her to use the crutches. The crutches are a regularly stocked item that came off the shelf, not a special order. She tried to return the crutches on two occasions, but the store was closed. When she finally was able to go in on July 12, 2011, the store refused to accept the merchandise for return, even though the crutches were clearly unused and still had the original packaging attached. The store cited a sign, as well as the fine print on the bottom of her sales receipt, indicating that there would be no returns allowed after 7 days from the date of sale. (It also indicates that even returns made within 7 days are subject to a 10% "restocking" fee. This would be the charge to put the item back on the shelf.) A merchant has a right to dictate restrictive return and refund policies; however, there are times when flexibility is in order and simply makes common sense. Fortunately, consumers have the power to choose which businesses to patronize and where to spend their dollars. Based upon our singular experience with Hometown Medical Supply of Northampton, I would warn fellow consumers away from doing business with this company ... a company with unfriendly policies that strongly suggest that it should not be in business.
