They pick up the phone without a greeting and put your back call on hold. After waiting on the phone patiently, the agent repeatedly puts the call on hold. It's really frustrating. The agent proceeded to ask me what prescription I was calling for to have filled. I had to repeat and explain again the reason for my call. Then she.said the patient's file will be notated. I hope she actually notates the file and things are appropriately closed out on their end.

I came to Metuchen to run errands, more specifically to go to Boyt Drugs to see if they had medical supplies for my family member. Parking is at a premium in Metuchen, but I found Boyt had a few spaces in a parking lot. I decided I would park at Boyt, walk to the cleaners, AHCS, and make Boyt my last stop before leaving. As I exited my vehicle a man in plain clothes came from behind his vehicle to advise me that I could not park there. I excused myself and asked if he was speaking to me, the only other person and vehicle in the parking lot. He repeated himself, told me I couldn't park there, and pointed to the tow sign, which I saw when coming into the lot with the intention of being a customer. The self described "owner of the parking lot" made me so uncomfortable. I chose to move my car onto the street. I went to every other business I planned, however, due to his aggressive nature I would rather drive to South Jersey to get the one item I needed from Boyt Drugs. Furthermore, a little research revealed that the parking lot is owned by Metuchen. The individual that chose to speak to me is the owner (based on public records I was able to pull from his license plate - the vehicle he doesn't even own outright). The bottom line is, please be kind to everyone. You never know who you are encountering. I'm sure it is frustrating to see other businesses flourishing around you, however, you never know when there could be an opportunity to turn someone into a customer; or in this case totally turn a customer away. I undoubtedly would NOT recommend Boyt Drugs for any medical need.

I live in Los Angeles and my 87 year old mother, who I speak to every day, lives in Sayreville. Today I called her and she was so very sick with a horrible head cold. She did not have any cold medicine and her neighbors all work so no one to help. I called the pharmacy and asked Paresh if he knew of a way to get her over the counter medicine. She is not a customer, and they do deliver, but only prescriptions. We realized there was no way to do this. So Paresh became a blessing to me, and, seeing that my mother lived a few blocks away, he delivered the cold medicine to her himself!!! I am overcome with emotion, to know that 3,000 miles away I found an angel. When my mother is better, she is going to transfer her pharmacy from the super chain to Paresh and will tell all of her friends to do the same. I have tears in my eyes. Please support this family owned pharmacy who is there to (in Paresh's words) "to serve the community." Thank you Sayreville Pharmacy!

The lead pharmacist, Georgette, is an absolute gem. Over the years, she has consistently gone above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of. Prescription issues are not always straightforward, but Georgette is always willing to make the extra phone call, read the fine print, and patiently explain the "why" behind whatever situation comes up. Her dedication and attention to detail are truly remarkable. Mary made the pharmacy feel like home. Every time I walked in, she already knew my name and my husband's name and often had what I needed ready before I even asked. She's down-to-earth, incredibly kind, and always a pleasure to talk with. I've also known Amr (the owner) for years, and he is the definition of a professional. From running a business to caring for patients, he truly "inspects what he expects." He leads by example, genuinely cares about people, and is simply one of a kind. I highly recommend this pharmacy for all of your prescription needs. The team consistently goes above and beyond to make the healthcare experience easier, communicates proactively, and treats customers like family. Even though their hours may be more limited than those of large chain pharmacies, I found that the personalized service more than made up for it. In fact, their proactive communication saved me countless trips and phone calls. Thank you, Georgette, Mary, Amr, and the entire team for everything you've done over the years. I will truly miss you all.
